"Today it's either me or her. Choose one. I can't take this anymore." Taehyung snapped. He stared at his best friend waiting for his answer. Deep inside he believed that Jeongguk would choose him but also he had his doubts, probably the years he cared for him weren't that much to compare to the good times Violet gave him.

He though was the one to tell Jeongguk to choose but now regretted. What if Jeongguk chooses Violet?

He will break to pieces if Jeongguk chose Violet over him. He will be devastated.

"What are you saying, Taehyung? You want him to choose? What kind of best friend are you huh?" Violet said through gritted teeth, now regretting the lies she told earlier.

"Don't act innocent! You challenged me that I will be alone in the end so let Jeongguk decide." Taehyung's hands turned to fists and squeezed his eyes shut, wanting to hear his besties answer, "Let Jeongguk choose."

"Okay then, it's me or your best friend Jeongguk. I know I just came in your life but I swear― he is just so jealous of you. If you choose him, you will regret later." Violet says breaking into her crocodile tears and Jeongguk looked heavenwards squeezing his eyes shut.

Taehyung bit his bottom lip nervously and stole a glance at his bestie who was staring back at him now, "Choose Jeongguk, it's okay if it's not me."

Hoseok patted Taehyung's who choked back on his tears that were threatening to fall but couldn't hold them any longer and let them go.

"Yeah choose Gguk, but choose wisely. He is an absolutely disgusting person―" Violet was cut off by Jeongguk who grabbed her hand and pulled her closer.

Taehyung shut his eyes close letting the next batch of tears roll down his cheeks seeing Jeongguk holding Violet's hand.

Jeongguk chose Violet.

Taehyung didn't know how to keep himself on his feet any longer. He couldn't but let out a loud sob while stealing a glance at Jeongguk through his tears.

He should've been prepared for this.

Violet smiled at Jeongguk and then looked over her shoulder at Taehyung. She thought she won but before she could smirk, she was pulled harshly, "You see this boy? He is my best friend. I love him more than anyone else and if I ever had to choose between him and anyone else, it will be―"

"Him and only him."

Jeongguk declared letting her hand go and took a step closer to Taehyung only to link their fingers together and smiled at him, "You're more important. You matter the most to me."

"I am so sorry for being such a dick." Jeongguk tightened his grip on his bestie's hand and Taehyung was still not believing anything.

"Are you really choosing him?" Violet asked and Jeongguk nodded, "Of course."

"He is lying Jeongguk." Violet still wanted to try, "He is lying, he is gonna hurt you, trust me."

"Just shut up! I know my best friend. He can do anything but hurt me. So it's over Violet. I chose the one. We are over."

"I will make you pay for this Taehyung. Just wait and watch!" she murmured under her breath glaring at Taehyung who was smiling at his boyfriend, oh no― ex boyfriend.

"You really chose me―" Taehyung's voice cracked and Jeongguk smiled wiping those tears away by his thumb, "The way she lied and made me a villain in your eyes, I don't need her."

"You're right. You were always right. She is nothing but trouble." Jeongguk sighed softly before cupping his besties cheeks, "I am so sorry and this is for you, I bought this for you."

Jeongguk crouched down to get the chain on the floor and stood up only to make Taehyung wear it, "It's yours."

"Oh God, you look like boyfriends!" Hoseok exclaimed causing Taehyung to glare at him while Jeongguk laughed, "Yeah of course."

"The drama is over guys, now eat." Jeongguk announced clapping his hands, noticing all the pair of eyes on them, "We are done for today."

Jeongguk walked out of the bathroom wiping his face with the towel which he didn't know whose it was. Probably Taehyung's cause it smells amazing, just like him.

"You are not mad at me right?" Taehyung abrubtly asks, his eyes still on the book he was reading.

"No Tae, I am not. I am glad I got to see how she actually is. A fucker." Jeongguk threw himself on the bed, next to Taehyung who smiled, "I didn't tell you earlier but she challenged me that she will take you away from me."

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Jeongguk knitted his brows sitting up, facing the other who looked down at his lap, "Hmm,.Why didn't you tell me?"

"Lately I couldn't just figure out if you believe me or not. I am so sorry―" Taehyung clarified and Jeongguk nodded, "Not your fault. I am so sorry."

"Promise TaeTae, that Violet or anyone who tries to get between us, I will vote them out." Jeongguk smiled scooting closer and hugged his roomie.

Taehyung smiled into the hug and buried his face in the crook of his neck, "You finally understood you, dumbass."

The red head's deep voice hit the other's milky smooth skin sending chills down his spine.

"I was so stupid."

"We all know how stupid you are." Taehyung rolled his eyes and pulled away from the hug and sighed.

"You wanna play with me? It's been so long we didn't play together." Taehyung suggested to which Jeongguk hummed, "Not PUBG, if you play among us, only then yes."

"Ugh okay, I will kill you, bitch. For all these days you made me suffer."

"What if I am the imposter!" Jeongguk laughed, both getting his phone.

Taehyung smiled to himself, happy that Jeongguk chose him, happy that he didn't hesitate to choose him over Violet and also kinda upset that he thought, his bestie might choose Violet.

The truth was that Taehyung was always more important.

Just Jeongguk was being an ass.
