Taehyung was speechless. He couldn't find words to share with the one he couldn't stay quiet with for even a second. Why? Probably because he was hurt- hurt how his best friend didn't take much time to sleep with someone he liked, who was his girlfriend.

Jeon Jeongguk was right there; sitting on the bed adjacent to his, busy playing games on his phone. The raven head also knew it deep inside that he wasn't right but just shrugged his thoughts, his ego was actually bigger than his and Taehyung's friendship. Pathetic !

The red haired male stared at the ceiling, all emotionless. When friends start feeling like strangers, that was the worst thing ever.

He took a brief glance at the rain outside. The sky holds nothing but the promise of more storms, but not stronger than the one going around him. He found himself in the eye of the storm. All alone.

The calm around was the warning of something bigger.

Something worse.

"Bruh, he dumb or dumb?" Hoseok asked, his palms hitting the table harshly as soon as Taehyung told him about the whole matter.

"He didn't think about how she dumped me all of a sudden. Where he should be with me, he is dreaming of fucking her. Like just think how pathetic even it sounds." Taehyung irritatedly said, massaging his temples. A small sigh left his lips as he cursed, "Fuck!"

"Violet is like that, we all are aware of that-" Hoseok paused for a second before continuing, "Then why is Jeongguk doing this? I swear if they start dating, I am throwing myself in the lake near my house."

"Count me in, please." Taehyung said with a dry chuckle and pulled the glass of orange juice. His long, slender fingers were busy stirring the juice with the straw, occasionally when he heard a voice approaching, a very familiar one.

"Guys." Jeongguk was finally here, in the cafeteria walking towards their table with a stupid grin on his face while the red haired male face palmed, not wanting to see him.

"Tae, literally you are my soulmate. How did you know that I was in a mood for some orange juice?" Jeongguk smiled settling beside his best friend grabbing the glass and sliding it towards his direction.

"Not all things are for sharing, Gguk." Taehyung got his glass back and glared at the raven head who knitted his brows at him, "We are besties, Tae. What's yours is mine and what's mine is yours."

"That concept sucks. Literally." Taehyung rolled his eyes and touched the cold rim of the glass, rubbing his palm around the smooth texture before leaning down to take a sip.

"Heard Violet asked you for a hook up?" Hoseok asked abruptly, catching Jeongguk off guard. His eyes lowered immediately and he let out a long sigh.

"She did." Jeongguk replied shortly.

"And you interested?"

"Look, Tae and Violet isn't dating anymore and if Taehyung doesn't have any problem then it's fine." Jeongguk reasoned which was kinda stupid.

He was being utterly ridiculous.

"Taehyung is okay with that?" Hoseok now shifted his focus from Jeongguk to the one sitting beside.

The red haired male almost choked on the juice hearing this and stole a glance at both Hoseok and Jeongguk before again getting back to sipping on the orange drink, ignoring the question.

"Of course, he is okay with it. He never liked Violet that much." Jeongguk did the talking instead of Taehyung who still didn't say a single word.

"Did I ask you?" Hoseok was never mean to anyone but today, he was totally offended.

Jeongguk was breaking the bro code which Hoseok doesn't approve of at all.

"Taehyung, are you totally okay with this?" Hoseok once again asked and Taehyung looked over his shoulder at his roommate who looked away. Maybe they both knew the answer.

"You know what? It's my life. I can do whatever I want." Jeongguk said, agitated before grabbing his backpack from the chair and walk away.

"Why didn't you say how you don't approve of it like you said to me earlier? The fuck is wrong with you both." Hoseok said with gritted teeth and held his hands up in the air, "From now on, don't come to me with your problems."

Taehyung stared at the raven head who was in front of the mirror, checking himself out as he was going to Violet's place tonight.

"Tae. How do I look?" Jeongguk turned around and asked the other who nodded, "So sexy that Violet's gonna drop her panties in a minute."

Taehyung faked a laugh to which Jeongguk let out a chuckle.

"I knew you are okay with this. I mean, why would you have any problem?" the raven head smiled.

"Well she is always ready to drop them." Taehyung added causing Jeongguk's smile to disappear.

"Tae-" Jeongguk brushed his fingers through his black smooth hair locks and walked ahead to sit in front of his roommate, "It's just a hook-up."

"And I hope it doesn't evolve into something more." Taehyung forced a smile, that smile everyone falls for, it's so gorgeous.

"It won't." Jeongguk lied.

"Bro, you know I want the best for you. Violet can only hurt you. Once she finds solace in someone else, she will not take even a minute to leave you." Taehyung tried to make the other understand which went in vain as Jeongguk huffed.

"Please, no more lectures." Jeongguk sighed, pulling himself to his feet and started adjusting his belt.

He pressed his t-shirt with his both palms as if he was ironing and stole a glance at his bestie, "You are my best friend, Taehyung and I know you will always be by my side."

"I love you, homie." Jeongguk laughed and attacked the other for a tight hug which Taehyung happily returned, laughing along.

"I love you too." Taehyung rubbed his palm on his best friend's back as they hug, tightly.

"Bitch I swear if Violet ends up hurting you, I will kill her." Taehyung mumbled, near Jeongguk's ear who realized that his roommate knew he intended to be a little more than just a hook up.

But still didn't say a word.

Because Taehyung truly loved Jeongguk as his best friend and wished nothing but the best for him. He wants him to be happy and if being with Violet makes him happy, he is okay.

Taehyung was the best bro and deep down wanted Jeongguk to be one too but unfortunately, he chose to be a little selfish.

"I'mma leave now. Bye bro." Jeongguk pulled away and smiled before walking away.

"He owns a shit brain." Taehyung murmured under his breath while Jeongguk exited the room.

Jeongguk was dumb.

No doubts. He was undoubtedly digging his own grave, he already broke the bro code and all Taehyung wanted right now was that their friendship doesn't get affected due to any of this mess.

If Jeongguk was dumb, Taehyung was dumber for thinking that everything will be like it was.

Cause things were about to get messy and the only question is who gets hurt at the end.

Who ends up being alone?

For now, at this moment, Taehyung was left alone and this loneliness was eating him alive, killing every hope he had in him.

This loneliness was taking the red haired male's heart into it's claws and squeezed it mercilessly. Taehyung didn't know why he was feeling like this. All this was so new. Probably because this is the first time, he let Jeongguk choose something that would surely hurt him at the end.

Taehyung adored his and Jeongguk's friendship. It's something he would die for and now seeing it at stake, he was so scared.

So fucking scared.
