Dowoon wasn't having it. Why in the why would Sungjin ever do this to the cake his other hyungs had gotten him? Why stick a baguette in a perfectly nice cake when they could have just eaten both foods normally?! He got it -- it was pretty funny, yeah -- but why today of all days?!? "Ismy birthday, an' ya stuck an eff'n baguette inma cake!!" They were the only two left over in the room -- the others had left them alone to go see a movie or some shit, Dowoon hadn't payed attention -- and he just had to confront his hyung on this. What a strange prank he had played, and the chopsticks, too (who in their right mind lit up chopsticks of all things when there were no candles left... couldn't they have just gone out to buy some?); the birthday boy simply wanted to know what in the heck Sungjin had been thinking when he did what he stuck a baguette in a fucking vanilla cake.

Sungjin laughed off his dongsaeng's flustered, confused warble of semi-Busan dialect with a wave of his cake-covered hand. "It was sweet, though, wasn' it?"

That was true, in fact. But Dowoon had an argument of his own. "Baguettes aren' meant to be sweet, though, hyung," the younger man couldn't help but laugh out; his tone wasn't bitter enough for his hyung to take him seriously.

"You're not really mad... Are you," Sungjin teased, slowly moving towards the man, who was now covering his face with his hands like a really bad curtain. His smiley eyes and red ears gave everything away. He was happy. Even though there had been a French flour-toasted delicacy laying in wait inside and above his supposed celebration sweet, he'd had one of the best evenings so far... Mostly thanks to the hyung who was now standing in front of him with that classic expression of slyness etched on his face.

"I am... I'm really mad."

Sungjin only laughed. His cake-covered hand rose, gently traced his dongsaeng's cheek with an icing-drizzled thumb. "Well... If you're this mad, I had better make it up to you, yeah?"

The young drummer, flustered, could but stick his tongue out to lick the now protesting man's sweet finger as revenge for the teasing. It was his birthday after all...

Sungjin's "making up" promise was to make out, Dowoon soon found out. The older man cornered his beloved birthday boy, the younger man's back practically sucked into the minimal space between the makeshift closet and the stacks of old-school comics in his room, and breathed out onto his neck -- "Happy birthday" -- before tilting his head up, capturing their lips in a swift pucker party, pulling a bit then letting go and leaving Dowoon feeling as if a rubber band had been blasted through his fluttering heart.

"Where'd you even get a baguette?" he breathily mused over the older's thin lips, already leaning in for more and leaving no room for an answer. Sungjin didn't mind one bit. He busied himself with seeking solace for his hands, tangling them in Dowoon's tousled hair, the hood of his jacket, the area beneath his shirt. "C--Cold," the drummer protested, fingertips softly pushing the hands away, bringing them up to his neck, planting his lips back where they had been moments before. A hum from Sungjin, a circling of his thumbs. Then he pulled Dowoon closer yet, stepped forward, pushed him against the wall. "Hyung!" And there they went again, chasing each other's lips as they slid down, down, down, ended up with Sungjin hovering over his dongsaeng, who was tugging him closer by the hem of his t-shirt -- the dark blue one with the secret scarlet heart sewn on the inside so he would know that only he could ever find out about it -- from his seated position in the minimal space between the makeshift closet and the stacks of old-school comics in his room... And Dowoon wouldn't have his birthday go any other way.
