Chapter 2
The next day I woke up and found a black and purple tie at the end of the bed. I guessed that they were my houses uniform so I put them on without complaining.
As I had got up earlier than the sun. (Though if I looked outside my window I could see the sun peaking above the horizon) I decided that I would check out my dormitory.
In the common room I found little stone wolves, pups, messing about playing with each other in little groups til they saw me come down the stairs and ran to the sides and sat down.
I laughed quietly. "Its ok, you can carry on playing." I told them.
At once they got up wagging their tails and ran to me barking quietly.
I took a couple steps back in surprise and fell over one of them into a chair.
I grinned and giggled when feeling little tongues licking my legs and a couple of them pulling at my pj trousers.
"Can't you quite it!" Snapped a voice coming down a different staircase.
A couple pups which had been trying to get to Indigo on the stairs stopped what they were doing and came back to me sadly. I knelt down and hugged them and then was bombarded by all the others who wanted a hug too.
"When you've stopped messing with those dogs I suppose we could go down for breakfast." Indigo told me.
I raised and eyebrow. "It's not even day break yet, I hardly think that breakfast will be being served."
Indigo swung round and faced me with her hairbrush in her hand. "And there's me thinking that I had woken up late because I get woken up by little stone dogs that are playing with my roommate who's not in bed. But, I suppose if this is not the time when people get up, I think you may just have time to get ready for the school day before we go to the dining hall."
She turned around and went back to her hair.
I looked at the littlest pup who was sitting on my lap. "Don't worry little one, someone got up on the wrong side of bed."
Indigo snorted. "It's called jet lag and then getting up three hours too early. Now go get your things. I'm not going for breakfast on my own."
I sighed and got up carefully and went back to our room.
I dragged a brush through my hair quickly and packed my bag with books, quills and parchment and went downstairs.
Indigo sighed loudly and sarcastically. "Finally, you came back, I'd thought you'd got lost!"
"Good for you I hadn't." I smiled just as sarcastically back.
We walked down to the hall in quite different manners.
Indigo marched quickly as if she was in a hurry to be somewhere though I knew we didn't where as I hurried trying to keep up with her and failed badly.
When we got to the hall it was silent apart from the clock tick tocking. Indigo stared moodily at her empty plate and I looked at mine gripping my shoulder bag in my lap. I looked down not really knowing what to say or do.
A thought struck me that Indigo could just be on her period but I didn't say anything.
We stayed like this for two hours before the food began to appear on plates and things.
I munched on some toast and looked at my timetable. Monday: Potions B+G, transfigeration B+S, broomriding lessons B+R, history of magic B+H, history of magic B+H

Sunday: " "
Potions was terrible. I couldn't get it right. The professor, Professor Snape, had to clear away my failed potion and said, "you are even worse than the near quibe I taught once before."
I gritted my teeth and got on with looking through the instructions that I was supposed to be following trying to find where I'd gone wrong.
Transfiguration was slightly better, I liked the idea of turning things into other things even though the teacher told us that if was a hard subject to do.
We had a break and made my way to the grounds outside and got ready for broomstick riding.
We all stood in a line and got given an broomstick that laid on the floor next to us.
"When I give the command, hold your arm out and say up."
The teacher told us and after she'd walked past us twice she allowed us to do so.
"Up!" I commanded my broom and was surprised when it it actually jumped into my hand. I felt it humming ready and wanting to fly. Looking around I was surprised to see that some hadn't managed to get theirs to do as they were told.
"Climb into your brooms!" The teacher said.
With ease I climbed onto the broom which was more lively than my old one at home. That one you used to spend about half an hour to get it to fly.
"Now, when I blow my whistle kick up lightly with your feet and hover at a low level." She then blowed the whistle and we kicked off.
I was one of the ones who went quite high but I lent my broomstick towards the ground and hovered at the low level like the rest of the others were. I had to laugh though at the fact that Indigo's broomstick was trying to buck her off going round and round in a circles.
When everyone at last got control of their brooms the teacher decided it was time to stop and we all came to the ground and handed her back the brooms.
We trudged back into the castle twenty-five minutes before the end of lessons and upon discovering this, went back to our dorms so we wouldn't get told off by any teachers prowling about.
The little wolves were happy to see me and I played with them, but was shocked to say the least when Indigo kicked a pup and it's stone leg came off and turned to ash and another stone leg grew back almost straight away.
