Girls Night
Brooklyn's POV
I sat on the bed laughing about something that had been said with the other girls, whose names are, Zoey Bradly. The baby of the group. Seventeen (almost eighteen) is a green eyed dark haired girl. Zoey is the sweetest most innocent person I have ever met, she's a little on the shy side, but does have a crazy moment every now and again.
Julianna Davis, she's eighteen and has honey blonde hair, brown eyes. If I were to explain her personality, I'd say she's the chilled girl version of Josh. They actually almost look alike now that I think about it...
Next up, there's Alexia Travis. She's without a wild child with zero chill. Alex is a does what she wants type of girl, which means she has no filter and doesn't know what she says most of the time. Alex is nineteen year old girl with chocolate brown hair eyes. Oh did I also mention that she and Julia are fighting 24/7? Well...they do, but by the end of the day they're friends.
Then there's my bestie, Dylan James, same age as me, (or the age I'm gonna be) She's basically the typical crazy best friend who's always getting me out of the dumps and tells it to me straight no matter what. With her dark hair and pricing blue eyes, she's very popular with the boys, but there's only one boy who has her eye.
Lastly there's, Ruby Hanson. I don't know very much about her since I left for the tour and she was my replacement. But what I do know is that she's Zoey's age, and is very nice and caring girl. An amazing dancer and that she's a brown eyed blonde.
Anyways, we were all in a single hotel room since we girls like to have some bonding time before competition. At the moment we were playing truth or dare and well...
"Brook. truth or dare?" Zoey asked.
"Truth," I replied.
"Which one of the newsies is the cutest?" Zoey asked. "And you can't say the kids who play little Les!" she added before I could say anything.
I deeply sighed with a little eye roll. How many times was I going to get asked this question? "None," I replied simply. They're all ugly."
"WHAT?!" everyone yelled.
"Brooklyn, you are in Newsies! As in the show with a bunch of cute boys who can sing, dance, act, and who are also adorable little cinnamon rolls!" Alex exclaimed.
"What about Sky?" Dylan asked, making the girls, "oohh"
"Who's Sky?" Julia asked.
"Just someone in the show," I replied trying to sound casual.
"Just someone." Alex smirked with her brown eyes sparkling. "I bet he's cute, and funny, and-"
"Alexia!," I yelled making her stop. "Sorry, I'm just a little stressed with the show and we need a girl talk." in the dace team girl talk means we're about to spill a secret. All the girls moved closer so they could hear me. "Truth be told, I really do like Sky, a lot. But he doesn't like me, like that."
"What makes you say that?" Ruby asked.
"He said that a bunch of cute girls in their pj's is his kind of night. In other words he doesn't like me, like that."
"Brook, you really don't think that, do you?" Zoey asked. I shrugged. "Boys say a lot of stupid stuff they don't mean. He was just probably trying to play it cool.
"Maybe." I started to wonder if Zoey was right. Maybe Sky was playing to cool, like he didn't care. But maybe it was true. "Ok, enough about boys, let's do each other's nails," I suggested. And soon enough, the whole matter of boys were soon forgotten and we were all painting each others nails.
"Zoe, this color will look really good on you," I heard Julia say.
"She's right, Zoe. It's really cute," I said as I did Ruby's nails. "So, how's everything at the studio?" I asked.
"It's great, but it's missing one thing," Dylan replied.
"And what's that?" I asked while keeping an eye on my work.
"You," everyone replied.
"And," Julia said with a smirk. "Someone misses you, a lot."
"And who's that?" I asked while rolling my eyes.
"Logan." and at that moment, I stopped what I was doing. Now, Logan was my very first crush. But ole Nicholas scared him way. And He NEVER talked to me again. So, why in the hell would he miss me?! It's not like he ever paid attention to me before, and the only times we ever talked was when we were stuck in a duet. And even then he barely said anything to me."Yeah, right," was my reply.
"But that's not it," Alex added. "He's also here. And he wants to see you." I sighed and rolled my eyes. I got over him a long time ago. Logan never showed any interest in me before, so why would he all of a sudden start to miss me for?
"Ok, can we please stop talking about boys!"
Chaz's POV
"Stupid, stupid, stupid," Sky said while whacking his forehead with his hand as he paced back and fourth. I sat on my bed eating popcorn as while watching him kick himself in the butt for whatever stupid thing happened not. "I can't believe I said that!" Sky yelled.
"What did you say?" I asked with a mouth full of pop.
"I said, "A room full of cute girls in their pj's is my kind of night" and Brook looked well....she just didn't seem the same after that!"
"First off, you've said worse to a girl," I reminded. "Remember that time with the blonde in D.C.?" Sky stopped pacing and groaned at the memory while I hid my laughter. "And secondly, Brooklyn likes you," I replied before taking another hand full of pop. "Look Sky." I said with a mouth full. After it went down with a gulp I said, "Just give it time, she'll come back around you'll see."
