i hope that im making it clear that jax does not like talking about his brother. jax feels overshadowed by evan because obviously he became famous when they were both teens and their parents favored him because evan was doing something with his life while jax worked at fast food places and went to school. so joe wanting to meet evan translates in his mind that joe wants to get rid of him

(also yes the band that evan was apart of was still called the jonas brothers because evan pretended to be brothers with the real pair and everyone thought they were actually family until their breakup where it was revealed that his names actually evan hollingsworth and not evan jonas)
