Oberon's Spell and Privet Drive

Hi everybody, I just felt the urge to try a new kind of way to write my previous Brooklyn and the Boy Who Lived story, but try to make it more centered around the books since the new remake is coming around. Hope you like it.

....

It was a rather stormy and hectic night on top of the Xanatos building, a raging battle was going on between a powerful Third Race god named Oberon and a mighty clan of gargoyles, trying to protect a baby that was the son of Fox and David Xanatos.

Oberon though had been gaining the upper hand as one point he used his cape to send Angela and Brooklyn into a void of cold and darkness, then throwing them back where Brooklyn laid stunned for a little while, looking over to see what was going on. Goliath himself was rather angry, roaring and charging towards the mighty Third Race king. But Oberon glared, firing another spell in his way. "With this spell, your stone sleep will be no more, and you shall be where your clan will not!" He roared, the spell getting closer, Brooklyn turning and gasping in horror at the sight of his leader close to being shot at, weakly getting to his feet despite his bruises.

He rushed forward, reaching out with his hand, shoving Goliath out of the way. "No!" Brooklyn roared, Xanatos watching wide eyed at the sight of such sacrifice as the spell struck Brooklyn pretty hard, making him screech in agony as in his skin, he felt like something was being ripped away.

Goliath's eyes grew big from the force of the push from his second, wondering what had gone into the red male's head to do such a thing. "BROOKLYN!" He bellowed, a hand trying to grab him but couldn't touch Brook at all, the young gargoyle looking up at him in fear, panting heavily, as his world soon turned to black, and in a flash, his whole form disappeared completely.

After that, Oberon settled down but not completely as Owen even showed up when hearing the sounds from outside, pushing the door open, looking a little nervous from the sight of his father but composed himself. Oberon straightened his cape, frowning. "The nuisance never should have gotten into my path. And now he has earned this." He growled, making Goliath's eyes glow, a loud roar coming but both Angela and Xanatos held him back, not wanting him to suffer the same fate.

"Bring Brooklyn back right now!!" Bellowed Goliath, seeing red in his vision as Oberon let out a relentless laugh. "You weak minded one. He is sent someplace you can never find. The red one will never come back."

The rest of the Trio had landed right at those words, looks of horror present on their faces at the idea of losing their brother for good. Hudson looked down in sorrow while Owen transformed into Puck much to Oberon's surprise. "I shall help them father, if you leave now!" He snapped, making Oberon glare at him. "You choose to serve the humans. But I will grant you this one time to help, then you will be banished." Oberon then stated.

Puck lowered his head, knowing he had that coming. "Oh, alright..." He grumbled, turning to Goliath to discuss the horrible events.

...

In a small secluded English village, it was 1991, where a blinding flash of light came at the edge of the trees. Brooklyn's body collapsed to the grass by a sign that said Privet Drive. His head hurt like the dickens, Brooklyn slowly feeling himself coming to.

"Ugh.. where am I...?" Brooklyn asks himself, rubbing his head. After blinking a few times to clear his vision, Brooklyn sees before him what looks like a suburban area, with houses that all look pretty much the same.

He stared, feeling rather confused about his situation until remembering the battle against Oberon, a low growl in his throat. That Third Race leader would pay for trying to hurt his own! Standing to get up, Brooklyn flinched when feeling a couple cold burns from when Oberon had pulled him into that cold area inside his cloak, hoping Angela was alright too. When thinking about her, Brooklyn's ears lowered. If he was stuck here, he would never get the chance to gain a mate. Some small tears filled his eyes but wiped them away, starting to make his way to the village, hoping there was a kind soul willing to help.

But then he saw the sunrise coming along, Brooklyn knowing he had to find shelter quick before he turned to stone, finding an abandoned shack that was rather small but it'll do. His stomach growled. "Guess I better find something, even if I have to look in the trash..." Brooklyn grumbles to himself, spotting one close by and lifting the lid, looking about in it until he found what looked like half an apple that still seemed alright to eat.

Taking it with him Brooklyn opened the shack, settling down into the place as much as possible and waiting for the sun to come up while eating his apple. But when he saw it come even more, to his surprise; he didn't feel himself turn at all. What was going on?

Brook then had a moment realizing that it must had something to do with Oberon's spell, growling again. But he knew he was too far out of reach right now to give the guy a piece of his mind. He now had to sleep without it. Giving a yawn and throwing away the apple core, Brooklyn curled up there in his shelter, covering himself with his wings and eventually drifting off to his much needed sleep, not knowing what sort of adventure he was soon about to embark on.

Hi, so yeah, my first rewrite. It won't replace my original work but I am writing this in defense of JK Rowling's HP books since the tv show remake is once more being butchered by Hollyweird despite them promising a faithful adaptation. But we will almost always get the abridged version of the books. And don't even get me started on the casting which is almost as bad as the HTTYD remake.

I've started to not trust Hollywood and Disney anymore since Disney bought Star Wars, Marvel, and shutting down Blue Sky Studios. They've been debunking animation as only for kids but still hiding more intense than normal adult themes into movies like Strange World or Baymax. Not ashamed to say it, but I like watching the classic stuff I grew up with more than anything new with the exception of Inside Out 2 and maybe Moana 2. But this is to defend JK Rowling's original works as she intended to write them but with Brooklyn as Harry Potter's brother.

Also, Hollywood, please never remake Gargoyles into live action! You would destroy my boi Brooklyn!
