Let Me Tell You a Story

It is beleived that Humans, Zemrlt, sorcerers, and other hybrids were once the same species. Evidence supports the theory that these precursors first appeared in GoldenEye. Over time, a select group crossed the strip of ocean between GoldenEye and an undiscovered continent. The new land soon became known as Liblicen.

The new settlers encountered a harsh and deadly environment. This land held a strange magic that transformed its inhabitants. Animals, plants, and the ancient humans alike. They soon became three main groups: Hybrids, Zemrlt, and sorcerers. All branches developed different evolutions to better survive the dangers of Liblicen.

Hybrids took on animalistic features. This wildly depended what environment they were in. Some grew feathers, others had tails. Some had scales or even fur. Other sentient species, such as Baccas, developed as a result. Sorcerers also fall under this category. The first of them discovered a way to tap into the magic of this land. This ability was later lost to time, but Sorcerer descendants still carry pieces of this lost art, weaker with each generation.

Zemrlt did not take on animal features. Instead, they developed different attacks and natural protection from Liblicen dangers. They grew silent, preferring a new type of sign language to avoid being heard. Their skin grew pale to more easily blend in with the natural wildlife. Eyes grew darker, allowing them to see a wider range of colors. Hair pigment darkened as a result. The last change is what really gives the Zemrlt the nickname 'Wither heirs'. Dark, bone-like armor just out of their torsos, giving them a second layer of ribs. This external armor protects the vital organs better than any human can.

GoldenEye started their civilizations before the Liblicen settlers, but both Kingdoms soon became violent enemies. Trust was never very high. After nearly 30 years of war, the two eventually gained peace. They amazingly became quick allies. GoldenEye fought wars on and off with a sentient species called Piscus, Liblicen offering support. GoldenEye did fall to the Piscus, but was regained before 21 years were up.

Liblicen was then plunged into Civil War. GoldenEye's help was in vain. Zemrlt rulers couldn't bare the thought of allies killing their people. This was their downfall. Sorcerer families took the throne and ruled from then on. Zemrlt numbers decreased due to the weak genes when paired with humans or hybrids.

All that's left to talk about is the continent of Kyladia. It is confirmed that at least a small group of humans, or some evolved type, does inhabit the land. Its unclear how they got there. It has little to no contact with the other continents. No one's sure why they keep to themselves. Kyladians can always be recognized by their body type; tall and broad shouldered. Almost opposite of the lithe Zemrlt. Not much else is known. Only a few Kyladians have ever visited the other continents. Even then it was just official business between rulers and ambassadors. Any ships that enters Kyladian waters never get within sight of land. They're either turned back by the local fleets or sunk.
