Epilogue
"Congratulations, it's a girl."
Labour room echoed with soft baby cries.
"Can you please get the blanket and clean the baby girl." Myra asked the supporting nurse holding the just born baby in her hands carefully.
"Sure, Doctor." Nurse came ahead.
Myra completed postpartum procedures before taking out her surgical gloves. She came near the new mother and baby girl.
"Congratulations once again Mrs. Johns." Myra could see the baby was clinging to her mother as part of skin-to-skin contact.
"Thank you Doctor." Worn out lady spoke tiredly.
"You are most welcome. Your daughter is very cute. God bless her." Myra was feeling goosebumps like every time. It was not the first time, Myra led the delivery procedure but still every time she could not neglect the ecstatic feeling erupting in her heart.
Unconsciously her palm graced over her flat tummy which was carrying a small entity, a symbol of her and Neil's love.
'Just 7 more months, then Mumma will hold you dear.' Thought spread a beautiful smile on her face.
It's been 2 years since her ritually completed marriage with Neil. Neev was 3.5 years old and has started going to preschool.
Two blissful years with her two precious possessions.
After their marriage, Niren gifted them a honeymoon trip to Caribbean Island. Initially it was a honeymoon trip which turned into a family holiday trip because of Neev's unstoppable cries.
Little boy shed buckets of water with just a simple thought of not seeing his beloved mother for next one week. Eventually, Myra was successful to convince her grumpy husband to take their son on their honeymoon.
'I would be the first person on this earth who would be taking the villain of my love story on my own honeymoon.' His sulky face became one more topic of teasing for other Singhania's.
Even after two years, that one week which was spent in the private villa on the sea shore was unforgettable for both Neil and Myra. They hiked wooded trails, watched whales or birds, admired jungle trails, witnessed bioluminescence, kayak in lagoons, explored caves and immersed themselves in stunning natural beauty overflowing with tropical flora and fauna.
Their days were filled with exploring beautiful beaches with turquoise waters, golden sands, balmy weather, different water sports such as snorkelling or scuba diving. Whereas their nights were filled with romantic dinners, dancing holding their soulmates followed by passionate love making exploring each other's strengths and weaknesses and collapsing tiredly in their soulmates embrace drifting towards peaceful slumbers.
For Neev, it was a totally different experience, he had never been to any beach. Sunny weather, crystal clear blue water and golden sand exhilarated his young heart. First his widened eyes could not believe the humongous pool of water, their waves but it took no time for him to jump off his mother's lap and ran towards the waves to play. Little kid used to run everywhere, tiring himself and sleeping in deep slumber at night, giving much needed privacy to his parents.
After their one week of holiday they came back to their home and Neil started nagging behind Myra to join her medical internship.
Myra was reluctant, she was concerned about Neev. Young lad was very much dependent on her. She was pushed into a dilemma. She started giving lame excuses which did not go unnoticed by Neil. He decided to have a long confrontation session.
"Myra, you should not spoil your career. I am there to take care of Neev. And we have Julia as well." He turned logical.
"Neil but if I join, then I have to go to the hospital. And my hours will be odd. I had to work on shifts. Neev is so small... You know he won't be able to stay without me..." Myra confessed her heart out.
"Being his mother, Neev will always stay small and baby for you my love. But you cannot forgo your hard earned career for him."
"And Julia... She is getting old. She won't be able to handle him. And I don't want any nanny to look after my baby." When it came to Neev, Myra was ready with all reasonings to oppose Neil.
"Myra, you are a mother. You will have the most influential role in Neev's mental, emotional development as a youth. He will look after you for any guidance. If you abandon your career it might engrave you as a weak mother in his mind."
"Myra, mother is a very crucial person in everyone's life. And you are a strong, composed and matured woman. You have to be the role model for him. If you leave your career in the middle like this, what will you teach him?" Neil's words left a strong positive impact.
Myra, discussed her concerns with Nandini and she readily stepped ahead with a helping hand. Nadini was the one who pushed Myra to pursue her career.
When Myra finally joined medical internship, Nandini and Julia took care of little Neev lessening Myra's stress.
Initial days were tough for all of them, Myra used to turn teary while stepping out from home leaving her son behind. Nandini had a hard time managing cranky Neev, sometimes Niren or Dev also came as her support or some days Neil took him to office. Neil started managing his official schedule according to Myra. His unfathomable support was the keystone in shaping Myra's career.
Eventually, Neev fell into routine, his cries subsided by obliging his mother's new schedule.
Though the moment she stepped inside home, her every moment was occupied by the little guy limiting any quality time for his father with his darling wife. But Neil never complained, he was totally aware about bonding between his two precious possessions.
As a family, they all stood behind Myra to fulfil her mother's dream to become a doctor.
Family had a gala time when Myra completed her internship earning a degree. She started pursuing gynaecology and obstetrics as her masters.
Neev's third birthday eve, brought the news of one more addition to their little family. It was night after Neev's 12 am birthday celebrations with his dear parents when Myra put him to bed and was whispering in his ears. 'You're gonna be a big brother my baby.'
Neil was watching the duo from the doorstep of the room. He entered, stood beside his wife who was caressing their son's hairs pushing them back which were falling on his forehead.
"Let him sleep." Neil whispered in her ears kissing her cheeks and wrapping his arm around her stomach from back.
He swiftly lifted her in bridal style in his arms. "Now make me sleep." He rubbed his nose tip on her cheeks. She giggled feeling giddily.
Neil brought her to bed and made her sit on the bed while settling himself in front of her. He brushed his fingers over her cheeks, his eyes turned dark reflecting his passion. He bent towards capturing her lips in an intense kiss. Myra reciprocated equally, leading their passionate love making.
"Ohh god Myra... I still can't get enough of you." He confessed after long hours of intimacy. She giggled at his confession.
"I love you." He kissed her forehead.
"But now you will need to control.... We... we need to be careful in the future." She said in a cautious way, drawing circles on his bare chest.
"Means?"
"Means... we won't be able to get into intense love making as our baby is growing up. Our baby will get scared" Myra replied, confusing Neil.
"Your baby is sleeping peacefully." Neil passed a quick look at the crib from corner eyes.
"And yes he is growing up... we should shift him to his room. It's been ready for the last two years and he is still in our room." He twitches his nose, but peppering kisses on her crown.
"No. But the baby can hear from Mumma's ear." she whispered, turning red.
"Don't puzzle me. Please have some mercy on your poor husband... he is tired after long hard work." He slightly raised her face.
Looking at his creased forehead, she pressed her lips to suppress her chuckle.
"Tired enough to even say hi to our baby who is growing here?" She took his palm and kept it on her stomach.
It took a few moments for Neil's brain to process and register her words.
He slowly released his grip from her figure sitting on the bed with raised eyebrows. He looked at his hand which was on her tummy and then at her face which was showing off a beautiful smile.
"Pregnant?" it came out as a whisper.
She nodded her head with a smile. He ruffled his hair with free hand and just kept looking at her stomach. Next moment, he grabbed her face and slammed his lips over her in a passionate kiss.
"Ohh my goodness! Finally! Someone is coming to distract Neev and I can have you all for myself." He declared throwing his both hands in the air.
Myra dropped her shoulder looking at his childish antics. "What?"
"Yes! Mission accomplished. Now this little marshmallow will be in my team." He caressed her flat stomach.
"Are you serious Neil?" She laughed hearing his absurd comments.
"Thank you." He wrapped his arms around her, kissing her forehead.
Next morning, when Neev woke up, Myra and Neil gave him his birthday gift. Neev came to his mother.
"Mumma, love you." He kissed his mother's cheeks.
"Neev, you are my good baby. My birthday boy." Myra showered kisses on his face. Little kid enjoyed pamperings and undivided attention from his mother. "Wish you many many happy returns of the day. Happy birthday Neev."
"Thank you." Neev replied meekly, clinging to his mother's figure.
"Hey birthday boy. Happy birthday." Now it was his father's time to wish the little kid.
"Dadda, thank you." He replied, still wrapping his hands around his mother's neck.
"Mumma's boy." Neil shook his head and pulled the little kid towards him, squashing him in his arms. Neil started kissing Neev's face all over whereas the little kid started throwing his arms pushing back his father.
"When your Mumma kissed you, you were enjoying it but now what happened?" Neil now started tickling his son.
"Mummmaaaa" Neev screamed his lungs out.
"Neil, stop it.... Stop it. Don't tease my baby." Myra tried to pull Neev, releasing him from his father's clutches.
Finally mother and son were successful. Neev went and sat in his mother's lap passing continuous glares to his father.
"Hey now don't show me these eyes. Till today, I was alone fighting this battle with you twos. But now scores are going to get equal soon. Trust me now my army will pay you back equally." Neil teased, Neev did not understand even a single word from his father's statement.
Myra twitched her nose to Neil but she turned Neev to see his eyes. She pushed back his long hair strand behind.
"You know there is a precious gift for you on this day. Show me your hand. Let me introduce you to little Neev who is growing up in Mumma's tummy." Myra spoke tenderly, keeping his small palm on her stomach.
"Little Neev?" Neev was clueless, he asked with wide open eyes.
"Yes, my Neev Baby is going to be a big bro now." Myra peppered kisses all over his face.
"Bro?"
"Yes" Both Neil and Myra replied in unison whereas Neev was shifting his wide open confused eyes between them.
When rest Singhania's came for Neev's birthday celebration, Neil broke the news about the arrival of a new member.
"Hey Neev you are going to be a big brother now." Niren tickled the little one.
Myra's trance broke when Alex, her driver, parked the car in the parking area.
"Mumma" Neev ran to her the moment she stepped inside. She picked him up instantly, peppering kisses on his face. Little guy got busy informing his mother about his day.
"Myra, you should be careful my dear. You are in your third month." Nandini reminded her from back.
"I will be Mom." Myra quickly squinted her eyes with a bright smile getting occupied with her son' s unstoppable blabberings.
Myra's first trimester was all fine but as her belly started growing, her mood swings peaked up raising her frustration on every little thing. She turned emotional over small things, or used to get hyper easily.
Changes in Myra were noticeable along with changes in Neev. He was turning over possessive, sensitive for his mother. His little heart understood that someone is coming in their house soon with whom he would be required to share his mother's love.
He turned attention seeker for Myra. Every minute Neev and Myra were together, he did not allow anyone to interrupt their moments. Even Neil's presence around Myra was unbearable for him.
By every passing day, Myra's concern for Neev was reaching to it's peak. He was not on the favourable terms to accept the concept of a new baby coming into their life. Myra did not know how to react when the baby was born.
"Did we hurry up while planning for the second baby?" She was looking out of the window at night after making Neev asleep in their bed. For the last few days, the little guy was adamant to sleep beside his mother.
"Don't worry, they will be siblings. He will accept. Trust me he will be a perfect elder brother for my Marshmallow just like his father." Neil was always there for Myra as her emotional supporter.
"Neev is possessive for me. Am I ignoring Neev?" Myra was now sobbing. She remembered his sudden increase in cries whenever she would step out from home without him. "Trust me Neil... He is my first baby. No one can take his place. He is the one who gave me the feeling of being a mother. He is the one who called me 'Mumma' first...." Guitful tears started streaming over her cheeks.
Today, she had her ultrasound appointment. She and Neil purposefully took Neev along with them. When a technician called both of them inside to see images of the unborn, Neev created a fuss to even look at the screen.
Neil observed his wife, from the time they both entered inside home, Myra was silent but she made herself occupied around Neev.
"No Myra, you can never ignore Neev. He is your first baby." He kept on soothing things wrapping her in his secured embrace.
His supporting gestures always acted as a remedy for Myra's crumbled heart. She made sure to spend every free moment with Neev.
For her, Neev was always her first baby.
First feeling of motherhood.
_______________
After a long nine months of wait, Myra delivered a cute baby girl.
Last night, Myra had a water break after dinner hours, resulting in their emergency visit to hospital leaving Neev with Nandini and Julia. After 10 hours of labour pain, both heard soft crying sounds of the new bundle of joy.
Nurses gave a little baby girl wrapped in a pink blanket. Myra's tears were unstoppable holding the girl. Girl was awake and was looking at her. A cute, chubby girl with big doe eyes, pointy nose making her look like a doll from a toy shop. She mewled like a kitten and licked her own fist.
"Oh my god she is... she is just my Marshmallow." Neil supported Myra holding their baby. Myra was a crying mess. She could not even blink looking at the little angel staring at her.
"Thank you." He kissed her forehead. Even his tears were unstoppable today.
"Love you my Nightingale." His heart was thumping with excitement with the new addition.
Later in the afternoon, Neil entered inside with Neev. Little boy entered with a bowed head passing a corner look to his mother who was holding a baby in her hands. Myra looked at her son, he was angry. She could understand his inner feelings with one glance.
"Neev baby come here." She called him. He went towards bed still not raising his head. He was now sitting beside Myra hugging her arm and sobbing. She asked Neil to take the little girl in his hands. Neil readily agreed and got busied with his new born.
"Balloon?" Neev looked at her flat stomach. Over the last few months, he named her growing tummy as a ball, balloon etc. "Where is the balloon?"
Myra laughed at him and wiped his tears, "A little angel came out of the balloon. See. She is your sister. Come let's meet Neev's little sister now. Ok?"
"No. I don't want to meet." His face was covered behind Myra's arm; he was rubbing his red nose with her clothes.
"See she is an angel... just like a snow white." Myra tried to convince him but his answer didn't change.
Neev shook his head in a negative way, clinging to his mother.
"She said Dadda." Neil exclaimed, his joyful voice grabbed both of their attention.
Myra looked at him with wide open eyes. Neil's jaw was dropped and he was looking at his baby girl with astonishment.
"What? Neil, she is just a newborn."
"No, she just called me. She said Dadda to me." He told again, bringing her to Myra.
Neev was looking at his father with a flared nose when his father gave the little baby to Myra's lap.
"Mumma no." He sobbed, shedding tears burying his head in her arms. "No baby"
"Neil, please." She blinked assuredly.
Myra knew it was going to be tough for her ahead to handle Neev. He was hyper sensitive towards Myra. When she was discharged from hospital, Neev did not leave her even for a moment.
Neev stayed by his mother's side not leaving her back even for a single second but Myra observed him looking at his little sister frequently from far.
Over a few weeks Myra noticed Neev, he used to stare at baby girl, then used to touch her fingers making sure no one was looking at them. He started talking to her over weeks showing his different toys.
Myra and Neil made sure to encourage Neev's involvement in case of everything related to their baby girl. They would ask him his opinion about even the minute thing about the baby. They would take him out for outings for a few hours.
Earlier, it was Neil who used to drop and pick him to preschool but then it was a divided task between Neil and Myra. Myra started driving to his preschool to pick him up followed by some ice cream or a quick visit to the play area.
One day, Neev himself asked to bring his baby sister when Myra went to pick him up from his pre-school. Little guy wanted to show his baby sister to his friends.
And as days passed, Myra herself did not understand how Neev accepted the new addition to their family. Little girl wrapped her elder brother around her little figure.
'My cupcake' that's what Neev started calling her by her nickname ... his little sister...Niara.
Niara Neil Singhania, was an innocent baby until 10 months but after that she had been showing Myra stars even on the sunny day.
Nobody knew how Niara turned out to be the naughtiest kid. She had started crawling and there is not a single place inside their home which was not in reach of the little kid. Though she couldn't walk properly, her crawling speed would even defeat any cheetah.
Neev was her favourite target. She loved to tease him, bite him or even pull his hair.
She didn't listen to anyone. If any one even scolds her, she would give them her signature smile with continuous blinking of her eyes melting their hearts and run away for her next mission to annoy her mother.
Whenever there was even a 5 minutes of silence in home meant Myra's little trouble maker was on some task.
One fine day, she poured an entire brand new moisturiser bottle on the ground and started swimming.
The other day she was standing in front of the mirror putting Myra's lipstick all over her face.
One day she hid Neil's office phone in the kitchen cabinets. It took 5 hours to find his phone hidden in a rice storage container.
One day she was in the kitchen turning on the tap, keeping her feet inside the sink, filling up the entire sink with water, pouring it on the ground using a mug. Their entire kitchen had turned into swimming pool.
And the list was endless....
And she had solid backing from none other than Neil. Her beloved father. For him she was his little Marshmallow... the most innocent girl in this world. And Myra couldn't blame him either as Niara became all innocent in front of her Dadda.
She was a total Dadda's girl.
"Niara Neil Singhania, stop it right now." Myra yelled Niara was sitting on her brother's back pulling his hair. "Or else I will send you to a boarding school."
Tears immediately welled up in her eyes.
"It's ok Mom." No matter how naughty or troublemaker she was but the moment her eyes filled with tears her brother was on her side.
"Neev, don't defend her. She cannot bully you like this." Myra scolded, she continued, "Say sorry to Neev."
"Thorry" Niara bent her head getting up from her brother's back. With a creased forehead, protruded lips and teary eyes she looked like a perfect drama queen which brought a small smile on Myra's face.
"It's ok, my cupcake." Neev stood up and wrapped his arms around his little sister's fragile figure.
"Now come on both of you off to bed. It's 11 now." Myra took them towards their bedroom. Finally, both kids now have their own room adjacent to their parents.
"Dadda" Niara asked, it was late at night but the little soul was still waiting for her father to come back home.
"Dadda will come soon, cupcake. Tomorrow is the weekend, Dadda will be at home. Right Mumma?" Neev settled on his bed.
"Yes, my baby. We will have family time tomorrow and in the evening we will go to meet Granny and GrandPa. Ok?" Myra announced.
"That's sounds like fun." Neev pulled up a blanket with a bright smile. "Good night cupcake. Good night Mumma."
She made Niara sleep in her crib whereas Neev was on his cute spiderman bed. She kissed their foreheads before switching off the lights of their room.
She came back to her room, opening some books. She started reading it when her husband opened the door of their room, entering exhaustively.
"Hey my love." He directly came to her.
"Did you miss me?" He kissed her forehead.
Myra ignored twitching her nose, not giving up for his advances, she concentrated on her book.
"Myra, my love, my nightingale" He called her out sitting beside her on the bed, nuzzling his face in her neck.
"Go and get fresh. You badly need a shower. You are stinking." She was mad at him, from the last few days he was buried in office work, working on one of the major deals.
"Ohh is that so." saying he threw his suit on the ground and started opening his shirt buttons. He got up and went inside the closet. He came out spraying perfume over his bare chest. "Now am I smelling good, my Nightingale?"
He jumped on the bed, taking away her book. He hovered over her. Without wasting any time he smashed his lips against her taking her in a passionate kiss. As usual Myra melted down under his sweet torture, she equally started responding giving away her own need to feel his love.
His hands were roaming over her body shamelessly whereas she wrapped her arms around his bare waist. Both were just a moment away from drowning into passionate love making when the door of their bedroom flung open, startling both of them. They both looked back at doorstep, it was Niara standing rubbing her eyes.
Myra frightened with sound, she flinched and released herself from Neil's hold instantly. She sat on the bed straightening her clothes whereas Neil pressed his chuckle looking at Myra's terrified face.
"Not again." he mumbled looking at the ceiling.
"Did she escape from that crib as well?" Myra huffed with bewilderment.
"Mumma '' She ran inside jumping on the bed in her mother's lap.
"Hey my Marshmallow." Neil cooed, that moment the little girl's eyes fell on her father. Instantly, she jumped on her father wrapping her tiny hands around his neck.
"Dadda" She pressed her little figure to his huge one. Her eyes filled with tears after seeing her father.
"Hey my Marshmallow why are you getting teary? See Dadda here only." He kissed her face.
She giggled in a melodious tune. She stood up in his lap kissing Neil's cheeks.
'She is a total Daddy's girl.' Myra pulled her feeling jealous but her daughter pushed her hands back but clinging to her father.
"She is my warrior." Neil winked with a bright smile.
"Ohh so should I call mine one?" Myra squeezed her eyes.
Niara fell asleep when her father took her in his arms and took a few rounds tapping her back mumbling soothing lullaby. He went to make her sleep properly in her crib. He went to his son who was sleeping peacefully clutching his teddy bear near his chest.
He came back to their room to continue what they had left in the middle due to cute distraction.
"I hope there won't be any further disturbances." He cupped Myra's face.
"Hopefully." She giggled, pulling him in an intense kiss.
__________________________
13 years Later.
Myra was waiting outside of Neev's high school after a parents and teachers meeting. She had come after the board meeting at Trillium Hospital. Over the years, her dedication and hard work paid off and today, she was HOD of gynaecology and obstetrician department of Trillium Hospital.
"Hey Mom" Neev came, his backpack was hanging on his shoulder. He had grown up into a handsome teenager just like his father.
At the age of 16, Neev already had looks which could steal anyone's heart in a minute. His dark brown eyes, jet black silky hair and chiselled jwline added extra to his charm. One could say he will soon be turning into a very handsome hunk.
"Come let's go home." Myra opened the driver seat door whereas Neev took the passenger seat.
"So did you ask her?" Myra asked, keeping her eyes on the roads.
"Yes, Siya said yes. She will be my date for prom." Neev replied with a flushed face.
"Ohh god, I am so happy for you my baby. Did you invite her to our place for dinner on the weekend?" Two weeks later it was a prom night in Neev's high school. Finally, he was successful in asking about it to his long-time crush.
"Yes, Mom." He rolled his eyes. It did not take much time for Myra to understand her son's changed demeanour when she confronted him, he revealed his little secret with his mother.
"Neev, liking someone is not bad... loving someone with all your heart is a blissful feeling..." Neev turned to his mother. She was driving, keeping her eyes on the road but her words made him realise the true meaning of love.
"At your age it will happen it's natural but my baby... you have to be considerate enough for other feelings as well. I know these days celebrating Valentine's day, going on a date, having a girlfriend or boyfriend is very common but my Baby one should never forget the essence of love. It's a sacred, pious feeling for someone who means a world to you. Someone special who makes you feel special. Someone whose simple smile, or their happiness gives a meaning to your life. Someone without whom you can't even imagine your life."
"Promise me Neev, you will always be truthful to your feelings and you will propose to any girl only when you are sure about your feelings." Myra gave a quick glance at her son.
"I promise you Mom." His shy reply brought a small smile on Myra's face.
It was a weekend and Neil observed his wife was totally busy in the kitchen and their home was smelling with different delicacies.
"Hey Marshmallow, what is special going on at home?" Neil asked his daughter.
"Siya is coming for dinner." Niara whispered secretly making sure her elder brother would not be able to hear them out.
"Who is she now?" Neil asked, repeating his daughter's actions.
"Siya, she is in Neev's class. He has been crushing on her for the last 6 months. Neev asked her to be his date for his prom night." Niara provided additional information to her father inaudible to her elder brother.
"Really, that's great." Niara could not understand her father's sudden smirk.
It was evening when Siya entered their home.
"Hey Siya." Myra welcomed her along with Niara.
Neev entered the living room to address his special guest. "Hi"
"Hey" Siya blinked her eyes.
Myra pressed her lips when she could see, Siya's cheeks turned cherry red at the first glance of Neev.
"Where is your Dad?" Myra asked her daughter.
"I am here." Neil came back.
"Hey Siya. What a wonderful day it is. Finally, I got to meet this pretty girl." He came ahead with a bright smile plastered on his face.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Singhania." Siya replied respectfully.
"Hey Mr. Singhania sounds so formal. Please call me Neil." He winked at the girl. "You know, I am not that old." He whispered, earning a soft giggle from her.
"Come, come inside. Let me show you the best part of this house." He led her inside, ignoring three pairs of eyes raised in astonishment.
Neil led her towards the backyard which was carefully landscaped and blossomed with different colours of flowers... all thanks to the hard work of Myra and Neev.
"This is so beautiful." Siya exclaimed.
"Yes it is indeed. If I hadn't been a successful businessman I am sure I would have been the agrarian for sure." Neil fakely praised himself.
Myra and Neev exchanged look and dropped their jaws looking at blunt lies from Neil.
"Mom... he is lying." Neev gritted his teeth.
"He is insane." Myra shook her head and continued "Neev, why don't you show Siya around."
Myra drilled holes with piercing glare at Neil, "And Neil, can I get you inside for a moment for some help?"
But her threatening request was flatly rejected by Neil. "You can ask for help from maids. I need to show my music collection to Siya. Come here dear. You know, I play violin ...."
Myra and Neev were left in a flabbergasted state whereas Niara was having a hard time to suppress her chuckle. Even she was totally clueless about her father's sudden cheesy behaviour around their new guest.
Even during dinner time, Neil made Siya sit beside him in spite of continuous resistance from his wife and son. He himself served her by paying extra attention towards her. In short, Neil made sure not to give even a single private moment for his son to woo his girl this evening.
"Go to drop her back home. Take Alex with you." Myra suggested in audibly to her son, post dessert serving.
"Come I will drop you to your home." Neev initiated.
"You don't have a driving licence yet my kiddo. I will drive her back home." Neil again jeopardised his son's dreamland by taking a girl with him out of their home.
Neil came after 30 minutes dropping the girl at her home safely.
"What were you doing, Dad?" He heard his son's cribbing.
Neev was on the verge of crying whereas Myra was boiling with anger and Niara was a laughing mess.
"That's called REVENGE." Neil shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.
"Revenge? What does it mean?" Now it was Myra's turn to rebuked.
"Ask your beloved son?" Neil replied being obvious.
"What did I do?" Neev asked annoyingly.
"What did you do? Seriously, you are asking me this?" Neil threw his hands in the air. "You used to show me stars in the day even if I touched my legally wedded wife. So, this was a revenge for the last 16 years. Now, did you understand how it feels when someone takes away your girl." rolling his eyes he left the trio alone in the living room and climbed up stairs to his room.
"Neil, that was so unfair of you. You just spoiled Neev's evening." Myra entered her room fumingly, after a long persuasive session with her son.
"It's tit for tat."
"Enough! Go and say sorry to Neev."
"Ohh so now you are here as his lawyer. Nope I won't."
"You are insane. You were trying to woo a little girl. How can you do this?" Now Myra was super jealous.
"Are you mad because I ruined your beloved son's evening or are you jealous because I was trying to charm one pretty girl?" Neil came to his fuming wife.
He wrapped his hands around her waist in spite of her resistance pulling her in his embrace.
"Accept my Nightingale was jealous." He rubbed his nose tip on her cheeks. "Come on Myra you should know that you have wrapped me around your little finger long back."
Even after almost 15 years of their marriage his single touch on her melted her.
"Let me go." She tried to push him back in a failed attempt to hide her blushing face.
"Tomorrow, at 6 pm, Alex can take your beloved son to the harbour front. I have booked a yacht for his dinner date with Siya. Everything is already arranged. I have already messaged her about my plans to tease your son. I got her number from my Marshmallow." Neil answered sheepishly.
"So you father and daughter were teasing me and my son. That's not fair." Myra was left in amazement whereas Neil wrapped his arms around her figure laughing.
"I love you my Nightingale" he kissed her forehead.
"I love you my violinist." She smacked his chest.
And they lived happily ever after
