Chapter 20: Always
"Y/N, whats this?!" The nurse exclaimed as she pointed to the girl's neck.
"What's what?" She asked confused.
"It's a hickey isn't it? Tell me, what is that boy?"
Y/N knew she couldn't hide this from her, the nurse had become more than a staff member to her. Y/N had grown fond of her.
Y/N nodded, a blush crept over her cheeks.
The nurse shook her head disappointed. "You know we don't allow that here. I'm sorry, I can't hide this."
"No, please!" Y/N shot in from her seat, not caring about the needles in her arms. "Please don't!"
"I'm sorry." The nurse walked out of them room.
Y/N panicked. She felt betrayed and stupid, but more importantly: she felt heartbroken.
She wouldn't be allowed to be close to the boy.
She ran to his room, her hospital gown—that she had put on for some exams—moved along with the air she created as she sprinted.
She slammed the door open to find him sitting on his bed reading a book.
"They know! They know!" She exclaimed.
"What?! How?!" The boy shot up and asked.
"I-I kinda messed up and told the nurse. I-I'm sorry I didn't know she would do t-that.." she said running her hands through her hair frustratedly.
The boy knew the staff would do anything to keep them from each other.
There was a knock on the door and the staff walked in. "I'm sorry, you both can't be together. Not in a place like this. He will be moved to another behavioral hospital in a few hours."
They grabbed Y/N and dragged her out of the room.
"No, let me go! You can't do this!" Y/N exclaimed and kicked while other staff held the boy back.
"Unfortunately, we can. You're still seventeen, your mother made the orders since he doesn't have any guardians anymore."
She quickly looked over to him in panick, the boy remained calm and looked into her eyes. He unnoticeably nodded, to which she saw and did herself.
Later that night, she wrote letters for both her parents. Running away was the only solution now.
She left them on her bed, and went up to the boy's room.
He was waiting outside, backpack in hand.
He smiled to her. "We'll be alright." He kissed her forehead softly and took her hand in his.
He led her out to the main hallway.
They snuck through the play room and went over to the cafeteria which was right besides the lobby—the lobby with a door ready for them to walk out of.
"Hey! Stop right there!" The boy turned to see a security guard running to them.
Think. Think. Think.
He saw the elevator and ran for it, the girl stumbling behind him.
The doors closed before the guard could come in.
Without much thought, he pressed the top floor and begged the doors wouldn't open before they reached it.
They exited and they were met with cold air.
The wind moved the girl's hair while she looked around.
"Hoseok..." she whispered as she looked down to the view before them. She knew what was coming, she had considered it before, but now she was really here.
"I'm sorry. This is not the escape I had planned. But I can promise you," He whispered back and cupped her face. "I won't let go."
She nodded, her heartbeat calming down.
He leaned in and kissed her sweet lips. Hoping for there to be an after life in which him and Y/N could finally live in happily.
The kiss came to an end and they looked into each other's eyes.
Hoseok dropped his backpack and walked to the edge of the building, the ground beneath this eight storied building waiting for him.
He felt a hand in his and looked at Y/N who was now beside him.
"Hoseok." Y/N whispered with tears running down her cheeks. "I love you.."
"I love you too." He breathed out. "Always." He kissed the back of her hand.
The elevator opened and staff members ran out hoping to stop them.
But it was too late.
They had jumped off already.
