Flashback

(At Arjun's parent's house before marriage)

Arun: No...we can't do this...involving Sonal in this is something that I can't afford

Raghav: Uncle...we need to do this for the sake of Arjun

Arun: I can do anything for the sake of my son...but not at the cost of someone's life...I can't risk Sonal into all this...you know about Arjun...we can predict his actions but not future Raghav...and I don't want to spoil Sonal's life...I don't Sonal's future to get affected because of Arjun. She is such a sweet girl...Daughter of my childhood friend...I have already lost my son and my childhood friend...now there's nothing left for me to lose...at least today I can get a sight of my Arjun...we stay in different houses but at least I can check up on him...if something wrong happens directly he'll leave the country...and I'll lose my son forever"

Saying this Arun collapsed on the chair. Raghav kneeled on the floor and clasped Aruns hands in his.

Raghav: Do you trust me??

Arun: I trust you Beta...but Sonal is an innocent girl...we cannot involve her in this and

Before he could talk further Raghav interrupted him.

Raghav: We have to involve Sonal into this uncle...because she is the only hope we have for our Arjun..she is the one for him..for his soul..for his heart..she is only one who can complete him and his life...trust me on this.

Arun: I do not doubt Sonal...but I am worried about their future...Arjun won't allow anyone to unlock his heart that easily...

Raghav: My gudiya will unlock his heart..I am very confident about her...you just trust me uncle...Sonal will also be very happy with Arjun...they will lead a beautiful life together.

Arun: Sab thik to Hoga na?? (will everything be alright)

Raghav: I'll never let anything happen to both of them...I'll never let anything and anyone destroy their lifes...not even Arjun..I won't allow him to destroy himself and his life with sonal. It's a promise.

Arun gently moved his hand over Raghav's head and said "Arjun is the most luckiest person to have a friend like you...you care for him more than me"

Assuring that everything will be fine.
Raghav smiled at the old man who was struggling very hard to make his son a happy man..he was struggling for his son who has converted his soft heart into a stone one..he wanted his son to move on and lead a happy life with his family.

Arjun has been so adamant since his childhood. His only aim after finishing his studies was to earn more and more money and fulfill the promise he gave to his mother.

Arun and Raghav knew that to what extent the piece of land matters to Arjun. They knew that to fulfill his promise he needs to get the legal rights of that property which had Arun and his friend (sonal's father) as shareholders. there was no objection from Sonal's father to give his shares to Arjun...wholeheartedly he transferred his share in the name of Arjun. Now it was a big hurdle in front of Arjun to get the remaining share from his Father.

Raghav and Arun knew that Arjun was desperate to get the whole share of the property and will surely negotiate for this. So they made a plan to trap Arjun. They planned everything in a way such that Arjun had no other option and had to accept the contract to get the complete legal rights of the property. Successfully they trapped him and locked him in the deal called marriage with Sonal.

Raghav's POV:

Sitting on the couch I tried working on my laptop but was unable to concentrate on my work. My mind was running with a different chain of thoughts. In the morning when I called Gudiya...she seemed very happy. The excitement and joy in her voice gave me immense satisfaction. The satisfaction that I was craving since she got married to Arjun...my forever buddy...my brother and much more than anyone.

I keep myself updated with the information about the happenings in their lifes through my sources. Rohan and Aarav too tell me what happened at Arjuns house everytime they visited. Lots of things have changed in their relationship and life as well.

But still I am worried about her. I know about that idiot Arjun and his stupidity. I am worried that Gudiya might get hurt by his odd behavior. Please Arjun...don't hurt my little Gudiya for something she is not involved in.

I was immersed in my thoughts but then Siya's voice brought me back to my sense.

"Raghav" Siya uttered in her weak voice with her hands on her waist.

I knew she was tired but happy at the same time as she spent a good day with Gudiya. I closed the laptop and placed it aside.

"Come" softly I said extending my hand

Placing her soft palm on my hard one she took a step forward and sat on my lap locking her hands around my neck from sideways. And I circled my arms lightly around her waist.

"Tired??" I asked

"Hmm...a little" she replied in her weak tone

Bowing my head down to her bump where our little bundle of joy was taking his tiny breaths I whispered

"Hey bachcha...when you will come into this world...Daddy will give you a lot of gifts...even your Aona bua is planning so much for... you will be showered by loads of love from your Arjun uncle ...you will be loved by so many people around you...Daddy loves you...till then don't trouble your Mumma too much ok...be a good baby...or else your Mumma will trouble me"

She hit me on my chest and I chuckled at her reaction.

"I trouble you??" She glared at me

" A lot "

"Acha...tell me how do I trouble you??" She frowned

"You have become so ignorant towards me...you avoided giving me my morning hugs and kisses...my lovely night cuddles and many more...have some pity on your poor husband sweetheart...he is inefficient to bear the distance between him and his love"

And my poor love was now turned into a shy doll with her rosy cheeks and a pretty smile on her lips for which I have been her slave since the moment I saw her for the first time.

I rubbed my nose against her pinky nose and whispered in my husky voice "I love you my Queen"

"I love you too my King" she replied in her soft voice and  joined her forehead with mine.

We were enjoying our cozy couple moment. we were in the same posture for a few seconds closing our eyes and savoring the moment. It feels like heaven.

Getting back to our earlier position I insisted to her "You should sleep now"

"How can I sleep when you aren't at peace??"

She knows what's running in my mind. That is why we refer to our partners as soulmates.

The next second I snuggled my head  to her chest and she started caressing my hairs soothing me and my stress.
I closed my eyes receiving  the warmth from her embrace for the next few minutes. None of us spoke a single word. I was listening to the music of her pounding heart.

After some time I asked her "Did I do the right thing??" still snuggling into her chest

"Do you still have a doubt after seeing your little gudiya's happiness which had no boundaries today??"

I pulled my head back from her chest and looked at her and she cupped my face "You met him??" for which I nodded a yes.

She got up from my lap and sat beside me knowing that there's going to be an intense talk now.

"I met him post his meeting"

"What did he say??"

"He was happy that he cracked the next deal in which he is going to involve Aarav to train him but today I noticed a new spark in his eyes Siya"

"Is it??" I sensed the excitement in her voice

"Ha Siya...he is not my old idiot Arjun anymore..he has changed a lot...his eyes which always  seemed to be painful  are now filled with happiness and peace...I am so happy...finally he has a got stability in his life with Sona...my Gudiya has transformed him into a happy soul"

"Then what's disturbing you Raghav??"

"I am scared that Gudiya will get affected because of all this...what if she gets hurt when something bad happens between them...what if their relationship gets spoiled because of Arjun and his stupidity...No...no I can't imagine my Giduya in that broken state" I held my head with my palms in frustration.

Gently placing her hand on my shoulder she tried to calm me down "nothing is going to happen anything like that...you are  just overthinking Raghav"

"No Siya...you are not aware of him and his stupidity....I have known him since the day we learned our baby steps together... only two persons on this planet know him completely... His father and me....Arun uncle and I know him more than he knows himself...we can analyze what's going on in his bloody mind"

I took a deep breath to cool off and continued.

"And involving Gudiya into this was the biggest risk I ever took in my life... Even Arun uncle was not convinced with this but I ensured him that nothing wrong will happen....but don't know why..today I am getting some vibes that something wrong is going to happen"

"I don't think so Raghav...they both are very happy...when I was talking to Sona...every word coming from her mouth was the reflection of her love for Arjun...even Arjun loves her...love is the whole new experience for both of them...and they are enjoying and cherishing this experience....then why are you worried??"

"Because that idiot has a very bad habit of running away from the people who love him....first he ran away from his parents ...then he ran away from me...and now..no no...I can't even think about it...it should not happen...it should not happen at any cost...I won't let that happen Siya..I won't let my Gudiya suffer because of him"

"No Raghav..this time he won't run away from anyone...because he can't...her love for him will stop him"

"Arjun and Gudiya both are equally important and precious to me Siya...I don't want anyone of them to suffer...They are like two eyes for me... And you know na...how much this decision making was difficult for me"

"I know Baby...it was the most toughest job for you...you thinked a thousand times before making the firm decision...you were caught between the responsibility towards your loving sister and loving friend...you wanted to satisfy both of them...knowing that he would never agree to marry Sonal...you made it possible with the help of Arun uncle..I know how much you went through to come to the conclusion of getting them married...you have not only played well the role of brother and friend but also you have fulfilled all the responsibilities efficiently"

"Can't he see that how much we all love him...how much we care for him...cant he understands that we don't want him to get hurt himself...how much his father is dying day by day just to have small talk with him...he is craving to touch his son ...can't he just forget everything and move on...if someone leaves us...our life won't stop there...we have to move on... but what he was doing...he was just stuck there like a statue pretending to be emotionless"

"No Raghav...remember what you told me about Arjun....Arjun has his own insecurities which he has developed within himself...you said this right"

I simply nodded a yes

"Sona will surely get success in vanishing all those insecurities from his heart..its just that he needs some time"

"How much time Siya...we gave him more than enough time...he was slowly killing himself by staying away from everyone he loves..he was leading a self-destructive life...how many times I tried to explain to him that there's no escape to reality...it only gets better when we face it...there are better ways to heal...better ways to grow...but no...he was adamant as usual..he never considered my words and our efforts for him...so unwillingly we had to drag him into marriage in the name of negotiation contract...because Gudiya is the one who can heal his heart"

"Raghav...you always say that sona is the one for Arjun and just now also you said the same...because you strongly believe that your little Gudiya will heal his heart...right...and I believe in you...you won't let anyone ruin their life...so there's no doubt about anything else...don't think too much about this and please don't assume anything on your own...they are happy and will be happy"

She cupped my face " Everything is going well and will be going well...you are the best husband...best friend and best brother and will be the best Daddy as well...I am proud of you dear husband" saying this she pecked my forehead and pulled me in to hug.

I snuggled more into her chest and she kissed the crown of my head "Don't worry...Sona and Arjun are very happy with each other".

Authors POV:

Sona was in her own world since the moment she realized the blooming love in their relationship. She was in awe with the realization and was eager to express her feelings to Arjun. But Arjun spoiled everything.

But Sona being a matured girl understood him and didn't complain about his behavior. She was hurt but by him but as it was their 6th month anniversary  she forgave him.

The next day After returning home from the long day's work Sona was excited to see him and talk to him. In the morning she didn't get a chance to have a look at her husband because before  she woke up he left the house informing the servants that he has some work.

She felt a little strange in the morning...Arjun never leaves early to the office...he didn't have his morning tea made by his wife....which was his favorite thing to start the day with. She called him to know whether everything is going well at the office but he didn't receive the call. Then she called Rohan. He told that he is not knowing about the work for which Arjun has left so early and assured that he will take note of this and inform her.

Later she left for the hospital when Rohan called her back saying that Arjun is busy with some new assignments and will give her a call once he'll be free.

Sona waited for the whole day to get a call from Arjun. But nothing happened. Neither he called nor he sent a single message. She took the phone in her hands multiple times to call him or at least  send him a message but again thinking that she might disturb him...she didn't do anything.

She felt like  the day lasted for equal to a year. Nothing seemed good to her. She was bored...she was angry...and excited as well for every time her phone screen  lighted up... hoping a call or msg from him.

Finally, after spending the day which felt like a year to her she was back home full of excitement just like a baby when she gets her favorite barbie gown. She literally skipped the alternate steps of the staircase while climbing the stairs so that she can reach her room fast.

But when she entered her home...the sight in front of her took away all the shine from her twinkling eyes and gleaming face.

Arjun was packing his clothes in a bag...

"Are you going somewhere??"

"Ha...I am going out of town...I have some work there regarding the new project" still busy with packing he replied without having eye contact with her.

"For how many days??" She asked in her cracked voice

"A month or maybe more than that"

A month...she has to stay away from him for a month. The thought of staying away from him felt like someone has dropped a big stone on her heart. She was about to cry at any moment.

She stood still like a rock watching his actions. He was collecting all his stuff and packing it in  the bag. He didn't try to look at her even for once. He kept on packing his bag and she stood still.

"Don't try to call me...there's a range issue over there...whenever I'll get time I'll call you...so you don't try to call and disturb me while I am working"

Don't disturb me...hearing that her  Words dried out in her mouth. She wanted to hug him tight...and ask him not to go...ask him to stay back...but her body was numb.

He zipped up his bag and placed it on the floor. The moment she realized that he was going to leave now for a whole one month...she can't see him...cant listen his voice...can't hold his hand...she felt a deep pain in her heart as If someone was stabbing her with a sharp knife. He took a step to the door to  leave and immediately she held his wrist.

He turned at her. His cold eyes met hers which had tears in the corners which were about to roll on her cheeks.

"Jaldi aana...mai intezaar karungi" she managed to speak in her cracky voice

He came close to her such that theirs chests  inside where their hearts were beating fast touched. His lips mere inch away from her forehead.  There was complete silence in the room only the lubdub of  beating hearts was
audible.

Slowly he slides his arms hands through her waist. She thought He would hold her through her waist as he always does and kiss her forehead lovingly and say "I'll come back to you very soon"

But To increase her pain to the next level something different happened.

Sliding his hands through her waist he picked up his phone from the table which was behind her and left the room without uttering a single word and making a thud sound on the door.

Tears rolled down her cheeks.

The negative vibes which Raghav was getting will come true??🤔🤔

Will the plan of Arun and Raghav prove right??🤔🤔

Will Raghav and Arun get the expected result of their plan??🤔🤔

Is Arjun running away from Sona or he really has work out of town??🤔🤔
