At this point it was slightly drizzling..

Nitya stared out of her chamber's window... Charu had gone to look after Banasen. She wanted to know where Dvipat was... The way he shouted at Banasen despite the fact that he had helped them save their lives..

Thousands of questions filled her mind.. Why did he behave that way? What were his thoughts? His point of view?

She sighed.. she removed her crown and threw herself on the soft bed.. she closed her eyes.. trying to think about all the possible places where Dvipat might be...

She got up with a jerk and set out.. Pramudya was busy order his brothers to clean up the area..She tried tiptoeing away...

"Nitya..."

Nitya stopped in her tracks. She closed her eyes and turned around..

Krishna-"Where are you going?"
Nitya-" Woh I -I"
Krishna-"There is a cave slightly away from our House... You will find Dvipat there.."

Nitya's cheeks heated up.. She looked at Krishna he nodded her.. She thanked him and ran. Krishna smiled but at the same time he was worried.

The cave wasn't far.. She slowly stepped in...she stopped in her track and took a better look of the cave..water was slowly dripping in the cave ...

There were some diamond and Ruby stuck in the stones.. she was mesmerized by a green one she went closer to it.. just than she saw someone's reflection in it..

She turned around and saw Dvipat.. he was sitting half facing the rock wall and Piercing his right thumb against a sharp rock...

He had been rubbing his hand for a while, there were red patches everywhere and his thumb was bleeding...

Nitya's heartbeat stopped for a moment she ran and pulled him up, she proceeded to tear the corner of her dress but Dvipat jerked her hand and looked away...

Dvipat-" Why are you here? Who told you am here?!"
Nitya-" Kakashree told me.. but"

Dvipat-"But what ?!"
Nitya-" I don't understand why you behaved that way.. I came here for answers.."

Dvipat-"Huh ofcourse you must be having load of questions over this?"
He said Circling his scar eye..

Nitya-" I-I don't understand why you shouted on your brother earlier! In morning you seemed inseparable but when he tried PROTECTING you? You jerked him away? Why so?"

Dvipat-" Kumari... You won't understand this.. You won't understand how I feel. Honestly no one ever understood me.."

She came close to him..

Dvipat-" Well this scar.. I assume you must not be knowing what had happened.."
He turned at her,she agreed...

Dvipat-" When Banasen and I were born we weren't like those normal twins, we were attached to eachother. That's what our parents told us... We were attached by our face and stomach.. it was hard for us to move.. After we were born the Dai maa who helped my mata screamed,called us names and adviced that we shall be killed..but  Pitashree was adamant on separating us.. He went to the most skillful and experienced Yogi but none could help..."

Nitya was shocked...

Dvipat-" He finally came to Guru ji Shri Krishna.. he agreed to help him.. but during the separation ,I got a scar. While he got a beautiful face.. I am not jealous infact I am happy for my twin but I don't like it when they discriminate me .. They treat me like a untouchable... I still remember a cold memory... When me and Banasen started walking, Pitashree took us for a round around the kingdom.. it was fun but... Later.. as time passed during rainy season when there was no single raindrop on the barren fields of Anga people told Pitashree that he took me for a round and I cursed their fields.. "

Nitya almost had tears in her eyes.. Such injustice meted towards a child? Who barely started walking?

Dvipat-" They still taunt me about it.. whenever I go out I am supposed to clean the path I walk on.. So that it's clean and not cursed.. When I defeated such great and giant demons they said I am a demon myself and hence I was able to win over them?! WHY SUCH INJUSTICE TO ME? ONLY BECAUSE OF THIS SCAR?!"

He turned around giving Nitya a better look.. She noticed it was deep and scary.. It didn't freak her.. Infact her eyes softened..

Dvipat-" Guru dev says this scar has brought me a boon too.. I can connect with my brother and ask for his strength but more than a boon it's a curse too me..The villagers that I take over his body and make him suffer for me..HOW? WHY? HE IS MY OWN BLOOD? WE WERE CONNECTED SINCE BIRTH? WHY WOULD I DO THAT?I AM NOT HEARTLESS"

He looked down.. a tear escaped his eye.. It didn't go unnoticed by Nitya.. Dvipat felt light he said what was stuck in his mind for so many years.. he had never expressed himself to someone so much? But why did he? What was so special about this girl?

Nitya-" I know you are not heartless...(she took his hand) You are not heartless that is why you feel guilty.. That guilty look on your face after you shouted on your brother..I saw It...(She teared the edge of her pallu,and slowly started wrapping it) You are not a demon..You were built different and special..."

Dvipat-"Kumari... Why are you doing this for me... Those villagers, people of other kingdoms, greatest sages and wise men such as the Vidur of Hastinapur all saw me as a demon..."

In Krishna Chamber...

Krishna looked worried.. Rukmini noticed it..

Rukmini-" Arya what happened? Are you still worried about the bird? Putra are cleaning the area.. Banasen will be alright.."

Krishna-" Priye am not worried about any of that ... It's just Nitya's answer will decide Dvipat's destiny.."

Rukmini didn't understand.. Krishna stared as the moon went down and the sun was coming up..

Back in cave...

Nitya-"I see you..."

She held  his injured hand as the first ray on sun fell on them.. The scar on his eye burnt with a different radiance today... His eyes it seemed as if the stars were resting in there..

All of a sudden his hand softened.. He walked close to her and slowly and slightly hesitantly hugged her..

Dvipat-" Thank you so much... Thank you..."

Tear rolled down his cheeks..

Nitya-" It's fine.. I accept you... Not now but it's been long...I-"

Dvipat-" I.. I have loved you for a longtime.. The day I saw you  in jhest's wedding, in a red dress and orange pallu I couldn't take my eyes off you.. but I didn't want you to suffer taunts because of me.. For a princess as beautiful as you I felt I never fit in that pretty catagory..I-"

Nitya-" Inner beauty in more important than outside beauty..."

Dvipat looked at her.. he placed a kiss on her forehead.. Nitya felt at peace she has kept her feelings buried deep inside her heart for so many years...

And she was happy that the prince loved her too.... It was dawn... Dvipat gestured Nitya to go back since Rukmini might get worried...

He wanted to offer his prayers to Surya lord.. After all he had made the moment better with his first rays over them...

Nitya went back..

With no more questions in her mind..

[Am back! Big confessions! Dvipat has accepted Nitya! Next would be some brother bonding between the twins! Stay tuned for next chapter!!]
