CHAPTER 1
Emily's pov
*Beep beep beep*
"Ugh." I groan as the annoying sound of my alarm blares in my ears, awaking me from my deep sleep.
I roll over and the clock displays 6:05 a.m in blinding neon green.
I'm surprised alarms even work for me, you could drill a hole in the middle of my bedroom and I would stay sound asleep, making out with prince charming and riding on a horse off to the sunset.
When I finally get out of bed it's 6:23 a.m. and I immediately regret not laying out my outfit for the first day of school like any other girl.
I do it every year but I decided this year I'll change it up a little since it's my senior year and I'm one step closer to adulthood.
Oh who am I kidding? I'll always enjoy lucky charms in the morning, and having ice cream before dinner.
No one, absolutely no one can come between me and my love for all things sweet.
"Emily! Hurry up you're gonna be late!" My mom shouts from downstairs, the delicious smell of pancakes snaking up my nose.
"Coming!" I lie as I quickly step into the hot shower.
I can't get out of the house without taking a quick shower. I just don't feel clean and think everyone is staring at my greasy hair.
It's 7:19 when I pull my leather jacket over my red dress and head downstairs.
"Aren't you too dressed up for school?" Max says as I enter the kitchen.
"Just let her be honey." mom says and hands me a plate of pancakes.
"I can wear whatever I want, I'm a senior now." I smirk as I spread nutella on my pancake.
"Whatever." mutters my brother, clearly annoyed that he's still a junior.
"Thanks for the pancakes mom, I have to catch the bus." I kiss her cheek, exit the house and begin walking.
I can't wait till I don't have to take the bus to school anymore. I'm saving up for a car and I'm a few thousand short.
My job at Mary's cafe helps a lot, I work there on the weekends and put all my weekly salaries towards getting that car.
I reach the bus stop and the bus is already there, I quicken my pace and get on.
I sit next to a window and put my earbuds in. There's nothing more relaxing than listening to music, other than reading a good book of course.
I step off the bus and crash into a wall.
Wait...I leave school for 3 months and they build a wall in the parking lot?
I rub my crushed nose and look up, the wall has sparkling green eyes.
When did walls start having green eyes? Emily stop it! That's not a wall, yells my subconscious, and she's right.
In front of me is the most beautiful man I have ever seen, jet black hair covers his forehead and a scowl takes over his strong features.
"Watch where you're going!" shouts the stranger. With the sexiest British accent I have ever heard.
"Hey I wasn't the one standing in the middle of the parking lot!" I retort.
"Whatever." he says and catches up with his friend who was heading towards the school doors.
"Huh..." I whisper, I haven't seen him around here before.
I shake the thought out of my head and rush to class.
