Tsunami shot through the water like a torpedo, heading for a cave just above the water. Then a dragon lunged at her from behind, raking sharp claws down her flank. She spun around and roared a jet of bubbles into his face, lashing out at him with her claws and tail. Whirlpool! She recognized the SeaWing's green scales and his ink-stained claws, along with the golden hoop in his ear.

Tsunami flashed all her luminescent stripes, temporarily blinding Whirlpool, as well as alerting nearby SeaWings. All around, SeaWings formed a circle, watching the fighting dragons, but no one came to Tsunami's aid. Whirlpool ducked around her and wrapped his talons around her neck. Tsunami growled and jerked her head back. Whirlpool let out a yelp, muffled by the water, as her horns stabbed into his neck.

Riptide burst out of the crowd of watching dragons. He slammed into Whirlpool, bowling him away from Tsunami. Thank you, Tsunami flashed at him gratefully. Riptide winked at her, then together, they drove Whirlpool away.

Then Anemone appeared before them, clutching a spear in her talons. She spread her wings majestically, then smashed the spear into Whirlpool's head. Whirlpool sagged and started to sink. Anemone snarled and pushed his limp form into a current, which swept him away.

Anemone met Tsunami's wide-eyed gaze and disappeared. Riptide nudged Tsunami and led her to the cave she was heading for. The two of them curled up together at the back of the cave, their tails intertwined.

Tsunami blinked open her eyes. She was in a grove of trees near the beach. Huh. So it was all a dream. She turned to find Riptide asleep nearby. Tsunami smiled. She padded over to him and settled herself underneath his wing. Resting her head on his shoulder, she let out a contented sigh.
