Dick was in his room preparing a bag. Since Artemis just joined, M'gann proposed a sleepover to help bond more and get to know her better. Every mentor and Red Tornado as supervising den mother had agreed to it, so the team was put on break so they could have their bonding. It was the first time for the team to get a new member, so to prevent what happened with M'gann, it would be better to get to know each other a bit better in a safe place than out in the field.

He wasn't sure what he thought of Artemis for now. What he was sure of, is that he seriously disliked how rude and cocky she was, and that's heavy on the dis. In part he can't blame her though. Wally was dragging it out a bit, especially with the comments to preferring Roy over her. Not that he could say he disagreed, but at least it shouldn't have been thrown in her face like that.

As he packed, he made sure to get all his essentials but paused when it came to his preferred comfort items. He can't just take them with him, what would the team think? They already look down on him as he is the youngest, so it would be a horrible idea to bring his plushie or his own pillow. Can you imagine it? The protégé of THE big bad Bat can't sleep without a teddy? He knew Kaldur and Wally wouldn't think anything of it, but we wasn't particularly willing to take the risk with the others. M'gann and Superboy were nice, but he barely knew them, let alone Artemis. He decided against any of the obvious things and opted for his favorite loose shirt and a comfy pant to change into before he left.

At least he would physically be comfortable.

After checking one last time that he had everything, he went downstairs to the Batcave. He saw Bruce working as per usual with Alfred by his side. Though they don't advertise it a lot, the elderly butler is an important part in completing research from time to time as Bruce would have another adult to converse with. It did suck sometimes, but Dick did understand that he wasn't the best choice for every situation. Sometimes it simply calls for a more experienced set of eyes to help out.

He placed his bag near the zeta tube and walked over to the desk. On the screen were multiple files pulled up with reports of strange energy spikes. "What you working on?" He said, making sure the two older men were aware of his presence. Bruce waved a dismissive hand as he turned away from the desk. "Nothing for you to worry about right now. Weren't you supposed to be at the Mountain already?"

Dick awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck and he chuckled sheepishly. "Well, you see, I had some trouble packing everything and lost track of time. But I'm good to go now, just wanted to say goodbye."

Bruce looked at his ward and frowned as he rechecked the date. "Aren't you forgetting about something?" He asked as he signaled over to a large capsule. Dick sighed as he looked away from it. "I was hoping I could do it when I'm back? I'm already late and feel perfectly fine. Plus last time really hurt so it wouldn't be a good idea to do it now anyway." He looked at his mentor and pseudo grandfather in the hopes they would allow it. After a moment of silence, Bruce sighed, "Fine, but be careful. You are already overdue for another round." Dick practically jumped in joy as he yet again managed to procrastinate. He started to make his way back to the tube as he heard Alfred speak up.

"Master Dick, I do have to warn for extra caution tonight. I have been told Master Wallace will be in attendance, and well it can be rather chaotic. Do try to keep that shirt clean. I would hate for there to be any stains I wouldn't be able to remove." Dick looked down to his favorite shirt. It was black on the bottom corner, and white on the opposite top corner. In the middle the colors mixed as there were opposite colored stars scattered across the fabric. He laughed a little, "Yeah I see where you are coming from. Don't worry, I'll be sure to not let Wally handle anything near me that could cause a stain. But I'll be going now so please be safe, both of you! I don't want to come back to a destroyed Cave." He teased as the Zeta tube started up. With a final wave he was teleported to the hangar of Mount Justice.

Recognized, Robin B01.

As they AI announced his arrival, he steadily braced himself. Just as predicted, Wally came zooming in. "Dude! Where were you, we were all waiting for you! Is that my shirt?" Dick laughed as he started walking towards the lounge. "You left it, I claimed it. It's mine now."

Wally sputtered as he fell behind the little bird. "What do you mean it's yours? That thing is baggy on me! It's basically half a dress on you!" His argument fell on deaf ears as Dick kept on laughing at the red head's misery. Before they reached the lounge, Wally pulled Dick to a stop. Confused, he turned to the redhead with a raised eyebrow. Wally smiled softly as he pushed Dick's sunglasses back properly onto his nose. "Can't go walking in with those baby blue's showing, can you. Don't want to make daddy Bats freak out." This time it was Wally's turn to laugh as Dick quickly became flushed as he checked himself that his glasses were covering his eyes. He silently cursed himself as with all the commotion he nearly spilled his secret identity if it wasn't for Wally.

Now a laughing Wally in the lead, the two boys finally make it to the lounge where the rest of the team was already preparing some snacks. The couch had been moved a bit back so there would be enough space for some pillows and blankets on the floor.

"Robin! I'm so glad you could finally make it!" M'gann exclaimed happily as she flew over to greet him. Dick laughed sheepishly as he did feel bad for being so late. "Yeah, sorry, I usually don't do sleepovers so I wasn't sure what to bring. I did bring some cookies from home though! I hope that makes up for being late." He pulled out a box filled with carefully packaged chocolate chip cookies. He really did have to thank Alfred later for making a batch special for now. M'gann gleefully accepted them. "They look so good! Did you make them?"

"Rob? Bake? Never, he has been banned from the kitchen because he keeps committing crimes against food." Wally snickered as Dick elbowed him in the ribs. "Dude, not cool."

Before anything else could be asked, Artemis called out from her spot on a chair at the kitchen island. "What's with the sunglasses?"

"Batman believes it necessary to keep both his and Robin's identities a secret." Kaldur answered for him as Dick was still busy fighting Wally. Artemis snorted at the answer. "So we're just not good enough to know his little secret while he gets to know all of ours. Dude's got to learn how to trust a little. Who is he to stop you from telling your friends." Kaldur frowned as he didn't particularly agree, but he would be lying if he said he didn't want to know himself. "Sorry," Wally called out as he was keeping a thrashing Robin at bay with one arm, "Bat's rules. You either follow them or you're out. Simple as that really. Who are you to demand to know his secret ID when we barely know you?" Artemis looked ready to start a fight but decided to back down and look away.

The air had become rather tense and nobody really knew how to break it. That was until Wally suddenly went flying over to the couch. Robin dusted off his hands as he started making his way over to the couch himself. "Now that that's settled. Anybody up for a game?" Immediately at the word game, Wally perked up again and started rattling off multiple games they could play.

Eventually they ended up roping everybody into a few games of Mario Cart before they switched to Tekken. Surprisingly enough Kaldur and Superboy were fast learners and managed to get Artemis to rage quit after one too many losses. M'gann simply kept herself busy with making some hot chocolate for with the cookies as it wasn't her type of game.

Wally was currently in a match against Kaldur. They were holding a mini tournament to decide on who will pick the movie they would watch after. Of course everybody proposed one movie, but the winner would decide. Dick had already won against Superboy, so they were waiting to see who would have to go up against him. Incredibly enough, it was a neck on neck as each of them had won a round already. Dick reached for his cup of hot chocolate at exactly the wrong time as Wally jumped up as he won the fight. The hot chocolate spilled all over Dick's clothes. Luckily the beverage wasn't too hot to burn him.

"Ah shit, fuck um here let me help!" Wally panicked as he quickly pulled the shirt off of the younger and rushed to try and rinse out the drink. "I-WALLY!" Dick screamed as he was suddenly left shirtless with of course everybody's attention on him. He embarrassingly tried to cover himself with his arms as he felt wet metal on his chest. "Oh man." He lightly wined as he grabbed a tissue to try and clean up his necklace that had been previously hidden by his shirt. It wasn't anything fancy, if anything it was the opposite. On a simple leather strap hung what looked like half of a bird made out of copper wire. It had a simple red gem that looked like it's wing stretched out.

Wally took a quick glance at the younger and cursed some more as he only then realized he had left him half naked. He rushed to grab a blanket and wrapped it around Robin. "Shit I'm so sorry Rob! I didn't mean to-oh damn wait I'll help." He picked up the younger and brought him over to the sink as he carefully tried to clean off the chocolaty drink from the pendant.

M'gann carefully floated over but stayed a respectful distance. "Is everything alright?" Robin slightly turned while Wally kept focused on carefully cleaning off the pendant. "Yeah don't worry, Kid Klutz over here just made me spill my drink all over myself and he's trying to damage control everything. Though I really hope the shirt won't stain. It's my favorite and I was specifically told to not let Wally near it when he was eating but apparently failed to realize that also meant I couldn't drink around him either." He laughed as Wally started another string of apologies. "Oh, I could help with your shirt if you want? I make a mess in the kitchen all the time so I should be able to get it out." Robin smiled gratefully at her as she started to work on the shirt Wally abandoned under the running sink.

After some slightly awkward silence M'gann tried to start a new conversation. "So, um, that is a really pretty necklace. I mean I didn't see much of it, but um," She trailed off as she wasn't sure how to continue. Robin smiled gently at her. "Thanks, I just hope it wasn't damaged or something. Can this even rust?" He chuckled worriedly. M'gann paused her cleaning of the shirt to look at him. "I could have a look at it if you want. At the very least I can make sure it dries safely." The youngest pulled the blanket a bit closer to himself as he looked away. "Um, no offence at all, but I'd rather not? It's nothing personal, it's just really special to me and I don't really like taking it off."

M'gann immediately backed off and wanted to apologize but Wally stood back up straight before she could. "Sorry to say, but you kinda have to so I can make sure the strap is clean." Dick looked very unsure. He really doesn't want to take it off, but also doesn't want it being dirty and possibly getting moldy later on. He wrapped himself up just a bit tighter in the massive blanket before slightly nodding. Wally carefully removed it and placed it in his hand. "You should probably go put on a new shirt, unless you are planning to stay wrapped up in that blanket the whole night." Wally laughed as Dick pouted and looked away from the speedster. "I don't have any back ups. Didn't have the time yet to get my room here fully set up."

Wally ruffled his hair with his free hand as he set to work in the sink next to M'gann. "Just go pick out one of mine then. Not like you mind stealing, sorry, claiming my clothes." Dick was rather hesitant to leave but with a reassuring smile from Wally he waddled out the room.

Wally sighed once he was sure Dick was out of earshot. "Man, I really messed up huh. I really hope the shirt will come out clean, otherwise Batman might actually kill me. And sorry about the rest of the mess there guys. You didn't have to clean it up for me."

Kaldur smiled as the other two remained stoic. "You needn't worry, it was our way of helping out. This may not be the kind of bonding we were meaning to have, but it is welcome none the less. If it would be necessary, I could see if I can help remove any dirt left on the shirt. I may not be very familiar with stains but maybe I can still be of service." M'gann smiled at the team leader but motioned for him to stay where he was. "Don't worry, it's coming out rather easily with how fast Wally reacted. It shouldn't leave any marks after being washed." Wally sighed in relief as he let some of the tension in his shoulders release. "Thank hell for that. Once death sentence evaded, now to make sure there isn't a second one." He tried to joke.

"Wally?" A soft voice called from the corner of the door opening. Robin had come back, still wrapped up in the blanket but now sporting a baggy black sweatpants. If it weren't for the dark sunglasses, you would easily forget this wrapped up walking blanket was Mr. tall dark and gloomy's partner. "I, um, I can't find your shirts."

Wally facepalmed as he remembered where he put them. "Hello Wally, yeah sorry about that. They're on the top shelf." Dick looked down in defeat as he would have to climb up Wally's closet to get to it and right now he didn't feel like doing that. Truthfully he was getting tempted to leave, all the attention and embarrassment getting to him. This was exactly why he doesn't like big sleepovers. He turned to leave again, halfway getting tangled in the mess of blanket that drags behind him on the floor, as Wally called out to him. "Hold on, tiny one, I'll help." He quickly dried off his hands as he lightly jogged to catch up with the younger as the rest of the team could hear Robin's shouts of retaliation.

As they entered the lounge again, Dick almost immediately stopped laughing and let the blanket fall off of his shoulders as his voice trembled slightly.

"Where did it go?"
