30 weeks May 11th
Today I'm 30 weeks, I have a doctor's appointment and an ultrasound appointment. Landon's alarm wakes us up around 7, we get up, get ready, go downstairs, eat breakfast, then head to the doctors. On the ride there,
"How you feeling today baby?" He asks.
"I'm okay, no pain, just her kicking like crazy," I reply.
He smiles as he pulls up to the doctors office, "Good, let's see how she's doing."
We get out after he parks, we walk into the doctor's office, check in, take our seat, after 15 minutes we're called in, we follow the nurse, who brings us to a room, takes my vitals, then tells us the doctor will be right in, after she walks out, the doctor walks in a moment later,
"How are we today? I heard you had quite a scare, I know you were seeing the other doctor but she's out sick," the lady says.
"I'm good, I did, she wanted to come very early, 4 weeks ago she tried, we stopped her, since then no intense pain like that." I say.
She smiles, "Good, let's check her heartbeat and measure your belly."
I nod and lay down, the doctor does her thing, we hear the heartbeat,
"Nice and strong," she says to us with a smile.
I smile, so does Landon, as the doctor finishes up,
"Your regular doctor will see you next week," she says handing me the paper to give to the front desk.
"Okay," I say getting off the table, taking the paper.
Landon and I walk out of the room, walking to the front desk, I hand the paper over,
"Next Friday 8am work for you guys?" The lady behind the desk asks.
I nod, "Yes perfect."
She smiles, booking the appointment, handing us an appointment card,
"There you go, have a great day." She says.
I smile, "Thank you, you too."
Landon smiles, "Bye."
"Bye," she says.
We leave, walking towards the door, we walk outside, into the sunny spring day, it was warmish, the wind softly blowing my hair, I smile, taking in the fresh air, we walk to Landon's truck as he unlocks it, we get in, shut our doors, buckle up, then he starts his truck, then drives to the hospital,
"At least Miley is still healthy and holding on in there for us," Landon says to me.
I look at him, smiling, "She's being a good girl."
He laughs, then I do, looking out the window at the scenery, I never liked it before, now that I didn't see my world in black and white, now that I wasn't being abused daily, emotionally and physically, I loved the way the outdoors were, they kept me calm, something about the flowers growing, the sun shining and the soft breeze made me feel better. I was so nervous as we were 10 weeks away from my due date. Things were crazy, we had the nursery finished, Landon set up our room differently the other day, I was downstairs in the living room with Sharon doing my school work, listening to music.
Our room had the spot for the baby not far from the bed, Landon had said to me that day, 'You're going to take my side of the bed once the baby comes, so you can get up easier.'
I had replied, 'You're so good to us baby.' He kissed me after that, holding me close.
We pulled up to the hospital, parked, we got out, he locked the truck, took my hand, we walked into the hospital, walked into the hospital, checked in, took our seats, waited to be called. When we were called we followed the nurse, as we entered the room she says,
"She'll be right in," she leaves closing the door behind her.
I lay down, a few moments later, the ultrasound technician walks in, does her thing, checking on this baby,
"Okay she's good, doesn't look like you haven't lost the fluid yet, so you're in the clear," she says, as she takes pictures.
Once she finishes, she hands us a few pictures,
"I want to see you again in 2 weeks," she says.
I nod, "Okay," I smile.
I get off the table, taking Landon's hand, we walk out, heading to the front desk to book the next appointment.
"May 25th," she says handing us a card with the date and time for 10am.
We take it, leaving, we head home, make lunch, eat, then go relax, I fall asleep, he lets me sleep until dinner, waking me gently, we go downstairs eat, then go back upstairs, shower, and I end up going to bed, super exhausted.
The next two weeks fly by somehow, filled with school work every day, like always, both Landon and I were still keeping up our grades despite everything.
