Loyalty

Chara and I have been switching between timelines recently, just for laughs. Now Sans and the crew on my end are geniunely worried about whether I am Chara or Frisk. Frisk, obviously! It's hilarious though, because now they have no way to tell who we are. We both change sweaters in the Waiting Hall, and I go live in MurderTale for a bit, whilst Chara's soul rests in what we have now called TrueRun. Meh, lame name, but we couldn't just call it something stupid like OverTale could we?

It's nice to experience some new challenges now. I like fighting with mad dummy without him being to glad. I like talking to the Froggits as Chara. I love hanging on to my soul whenever the Darkness rolls around. And Chara loves the break. The bliss of not having to worry about the darkness coming whilst she sleeps. I stay here for a couple of days, she stays there, we're both safe, and it heals her. I see nothing wrong with it. But of course Toriel, Sans, Asgore, Undyne, even Mettaton, they all find it weird, stupid, wrong, and dumb. Alphys and Muffet are on my side, and Papyrus is just a not-so-innocent cinnamon bun. Or at least, that's what Uncle Metta says.

Sans has caught our little loophole though. We both keep the phones we have from our timeline. We don't switch them. If someone from our Timeline calls us, then we call each other and discuss if we need to switch back or deal with it ourselves. Sans keeps calling at the wrong moments, like dinner. He gets to know who's who because we want to avoid mix-ups like the whole... uh... incident. It makes me laugh to think of their mortification when Sans went to kiss Chara, not thinking about the switching. Cute. They suit each other.

I laugh at my thought, and proceed to answer my phone. It's Sans.

"Yo Sansy-Boi. Wassuuuuuuuup?" I giggle behind my hand and await his reply.

"WASUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP GURL?! Ya never guess wassup over here!" He drawls and I burst into laughter, causing the echo-flowers to pick up my laughter.

"Wassup over on your end Sansy?" I ask, after finally containing my laughter. I hear his sarcastic, deep, rumbling laughter on the other side, in a whole other timeline.

"Oh, nothing too bad. Just that Chara's at 1HP and I'm about to kill her. She's an A-hole." He laughs and I pale. My laughter ebbs away quickly, and I ask him if he's being serious.

"Yup." Is his only reply, and I hear the dial tone as he hangs up.

I've never ripped open a shortcut so quickly.
