Fawnpaw POV

Fawnpaw was laid in the Medicine Den as Snowcloud checked her over once more. Fawnpaw liked Snowcloud a lot.

She was a pure white she-cat with honest, blue eyes. Her fur was soft and always messy and her body was slender.

"Just be careful when you're walking, I don't want those wounds to open up again." Snowcloud instructed,"Oh! And if you start feeling sore or unwell, please come see me straight away."

"I will." Fawnpaw dipped her head,"T-thank you."

"It's my job, Fawnpaw." Snowcloud smiled,"Now go, Oakenstar is going to-"

"All cats of CavernClan who are well enough to stand, please meet in the centre of camp."

"B-but I'm-"

Snowcloud cut her off,"Go on, Fawnpaw."

Fawnpaw nodded slowly and padded towards the centre of camp, finding Skypaw, Featherpaw and Runepaw and quietly sitting beside them.

"Hey, you're alright!" Featherpaw purred.

"Y-yeah, I hope you don't mind me being here." Fawnpaw looked at them.

"Of course not, CavernClan is all about acceptance." Runepaw stated.

Skypaw nudged Runepaw as Oakenstar looked around and began speaking.

"Today, I have gathered us here together as I believe there is a young kit who is ready to be apprenticed." Oakenstar began,"Snakekit, can you step forward first?"

Fawnpaw looked over at Featherpaw who whispered,"He turned six moons a day or so ago, that's his kit."

They watched as a black tom kit with very messy fur and amber eyes stepped up to look at Oakenstar.

"Snakekit, you have reached the age of six moons and I believe it is time for you to apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Snakepaw." Oakenstar announced proudly.

Fawnpaw smiled, Snakepaw looked so happy as his tail swished in the sunlight.

"Rayfeather, you are ready to take on an apprentice."

Rayfeather eagerly padded forward. He was a black and white tom cat with scattered scars along his pelt. His claws were sharp and his eyes were yellow.

Fawnpaw actually recognized him, he used to be in WaterfallClan!

"You are a formidable Warrior and you have shown yourself to be powerful and also a quick thinker. You will be the mentor of Snakepaw and I expect you to pass on all you know to him." Oakenstar finished.

Rayfeather and Snakepaw turned towards each other and touched noses, the ceremony was complete.

"Snakepaw! Snakepaw!" The cats cheered.

As Snakepaw jumped down and the cats began to disperse, Oakenstar padded over to the four apprentices with his Deputy, Runeheart, beside him.

"So, Fawnpaw, is it?" Oakenstar tilted his head.

"Y-yes!" Fawnpaw immediately dipped her head,"I s-seek shelter, that's all. I can hunt my own prey, if you wish. I just-"

Oakenstar chuckled,"Relax, Fawnpaw. As the Leader before me, Ravenstar, made sure to accept everyone, so shall I."

"Y-you'll let me stay?" Fawnpaw's eyes widened.

"Of course." Oakenstar nodded,"I'll find you a mentor, just so you don't miss out on training while you're here."

"Thank you again." Fawnpaw purred.

"Come on, there's so much to show you!" Runepaw ran off, followed by Featherpaw.

"He's right, let's go." Skypaw nodded, padding beside Fawnpaw.

Foxpaw POV

Foxpaw was excited because, as long as she promised to be careful, Sunnystar let her try and hunt herself outside of camp!

Her tail swished as the gentle breeze blew in her fur. She sniffed the air and caught a scent. The scent of a rabbit! She'd look so cool if she brought a rabbit back to camp! She had to catch it!

Foxpaw lowered her body and stalked forward, in the direction of the rabbit... And she saw it! A pristine, white rabbit, just eating some grass.

Her muscles tensed as she resisted the urge to dart forward but she kept slowly proceeding. Stay calm... Stay calm...

Foxpaw went to move but the rabbit perked up and ran... Dang it! Wait... What scared it? Before she could think any further on the subject, someone grabbed her by the neck.

"H-huh!? Lemme go!" Foxpaw struggled.

She landed back on the ground but something hit her head and soon... Her eyesight went dark. The only thing she saw before blacking out were two greyish brown paws.
