Day 1 one project Painite. These logs are used to record and keep track of events that occur. Let us proceed.

Blue Diamond: How much longer until it's ready?

Peridot1: In a moment my Diamond.

Yellow Diamond: Honestly, this is what? Our 146th attempt?

White Diamond: Have faith Yellow, yes our attempts have been...um....

She looked up at several bubbled gems.

White Diamond: ....Less than successful, I'm certain this one will work.

Yellow Diamond: [under her breath] You said that about the last 10 tries....

Peridot1: Done!

Yellow Diamond: Finally, it feels longer every time we do this.

The Peridot gestured to a pod with a strange liquid in it and The Diamonds gathered around it. Then a hand with a red rectangular gem on it shot out. Yellow raised and eyebrow, Blue's eyes widened a little, and White smiled a bit. Another hand came out and pulled itself out the pod. A body came out, it was gray with cracks all over it, and White leaned in closer. The gem stood, and opened their eyes, one was red, the other was completely white.

Yellow Diamond: Hm, they look more masculine than most gems....

Blue Diamond: But it lasted longer than the other experiments.

White Diamond: Hm, maybe we should talk to it. *ahem* Hellooooo there subject 146, what's your name?

???: ............Hi mom! I'm Painite!

White Diamond: ...Did...D-Did it just call me "mom"?

Peridot1: It did, my apologies, I may have messed up a bit.

Yellow Diamond: *scoff* No matter, this is only a minor thing.

Blue Diamond: I believe we should start asking the questions now.

Yellow Diamond: Anything? Yes, I can several uses for this. Construction, fighting, so many possibilities.

Blue Diamond: Well yes, but what will we use him for?

Peridot1: Subject 146 has shown incredible durability, able to withstand a destabiliser at full power. However, he shows yo have a low iq, unable to solve a easy difficulty puzzle.

Peridot1: Um, nobody. This is a recording device I use for future reference.

Painite: Oh! Can I use it?

Painite: My name is Painite.

Peridot1: ...Subject 146 has shown to be more durable than any gem that exist right now. More testing is needed to know his limit.

Yellow was talking to a gem on her device.

Yellow turned off the device.

Yellow jumped and looked at Painite.

Painite: I got bored and left. You really need better security, I literally walked right past them which....I don't know how I mean I make a crack sound every time I move but....whatever.

Yellow Diamond: Because it is a much longer process, even though we get exactly what we want.

Blue was just relaxing in her pool, having a quiet moment to her self, then suddenly, her door opened. She looked to see who it was.

Painite: Stupid Yellow, not telling me anything...oh hi Blue!

Blue Diamond: Oh, Painite! What are you doing here? How did you get past my guards?

Painite: Your guards are dumb, and I'm here because I have questions.

Blue Diamond: Oh, well, why don't you join me?

Painite: You're already nicer than Yellow.

Painite walked over to the pool. He stared at it for a few seconds before kinda just...falling face first into it. He just stood at the bottom, looking up at Blue.

Blue Diamond: Um...do you mind coming above the surface, it'll be easier to talk.

Painite climb up Blue's leg and above the surface, water leaked from his cracks.

Blue Diamond: *chuckle* Now then, what is your question?

Painite: Well...what were you three planning on doing with me?

Blue Diamond: Oh Painite, I would love to tell you, but I can't, it's classified.

Painite: But why? It's not like I'll tell anyone! You aren't just ginna throw me out when you're done are you?

Blue scoff and chose to just ignore Painite. Painite stormed off, cursing under his breath.

Blue Diamond: Hm, we'll have to work on his manners, and that excessive swearing.

~~~White Diamond's Room

White was just having some time to herself, happy that one of her experiments actually went well. The only thing that bothered her was why it called her "mom". She isn't entirely over it, but she's willing to just let it slide. But still, why I'm Homeworld would it call her-

Painite: Mom?

White Diamond: Oh goodness! Painite, you scared me....wait, what are you doing out your experiment room?

Painite: I snuck out. Can I talk to you mom?

White Diamond: Ok, why do you call me that? "Mom"?

Painite: Uh...that's what I was told to call you.

White Diamond: Well that was an error, my name, is White Diamond.

Painite: Oh, ok.

White Diamond: Good. Now that that's cleared up, why are you here, exactly?

Painite: I already asked Blue and Yellow this but, why was I made? And I know it's because you need a new type of gem, but...what am I supposed to do?

White Diamond: I'm sorry Painite, but I can't-

Painite: NO!

White jumped.

Painite: I-I'm sorry, but this whole classified nonsense is really...pissing me off! Why can't I know? I'm not exactly reassured if you don't tell me anything! Heck, for all I know you made me just because! Like, I'm just an object to you! ......I'm...I'm not just an object...right?

White Diamond was slight caught off guard by that outburst.

White Diamond: Painite...I...I um....

A warm smile appeared on her face.

White Diamond: Come here sweetie.

She brought her hands down to his level. Painite raised and eyebrow and jumped on her hands. She brought him up to eye level.

White Diamond: *sigh* You want the truth? Fine, we don't have A plan for you.

Painite: Wait, seriously?

White Diamond: Yes, we didn't know what powers you'd have.

Painite looked down sadly.

White Diamond: But....

Painite looked up at her.

White Diamond: I promise, I'll help you figure out who you are. I know it's partying, but for now, you just need to trust me. Ok?

Painite: ...Ok....

White Diamond: Good, run along now, and tell the Peridot she isn't in trouble.

She gently let him down on the ground. As Painite made his way out, he looked back at her.

Painite: How long will this take?

White Diamond: Not long.

She gave a warm smile, and he smiled back, and with that, he left.

White Diamond: Hmm.....

Project Painite day 92. Subject 146 has shown to be aggressive, which is what we wanted, but he takes things too far.

Yellow Diamond: We had to do it White.

White Diamond: I know.

Blue Diamond: He needs to learn that he gets punished like everyone else.

White Diamond: I know.....

Yellow Diamond: Then why are you so upset?

White Diamond: It's just....

Painite: LET ME OUT!!!

White looked at the room Painite was locked in. He attacked Blue Pearl for some unknown reason, and he was locked inside as punishment. He's been banging on the door for the last 5 minutes.

Peridot1: Project, day 92. Subject 146 has shown repeated signs of aggression without being provoked. We are still trying to find the cause of this problem.

The Peridot put the recorder away. Painite continued to bang on the door.

Blue Diamond: He'll be out in five minutes White.

The banging suddenly stopped.

Yellow Diamond: See? He's gotten over it. He'll be ok White.

White Diamond: *sigh* I suppose your right, forgive me. Come, we have duties to attend to.

The Diamonds left, and just as the Peridot did, she heard something from behind the door. She pressed her ear against door to her better.

Painite: Le...let me out...I didn't mean it.....*sniff*. You know they hate you. N-No they don't. Quit lying to yourself you dumb fuck, THEY HATE YOU!

Peridot1: Is he...talking to himself?

She heard him mutter some mire words before deciding she couldn't listen anymore and backed off. She took out her recorder.

Peridot1: Something is wrong with him, why has he suddenly started to show signs of aggression lately? And, why was he talking to himself? I need to get to the bottom of this.

She left with an uneasy feeling in her gut. After the 5 minutes were up, White went to let Painite out.

White Diamond: I'm sure he's learned his lesson, we bend the rules for him we'll have to bend them for everyone.

She opened the door.

White Diamond: Alright Painite, times up, I hope you've learned-

White gasped at what she saw. Painite laid in a puddle of his tears, curled up into ball.

Painite: Why...why did they leave me? W-*sniff* why do they hate me so much? Why.....

White felt...terrible, if this was any other gem she would have to told it's their own fault. But Painite...why does sge vare so much about him? Maybe she feels guilty? Maybe it's because he's her creation? Painite looked up and saw White. When he did, he stood up and wiped his tears away.

Painite: Mom? S-Sorry, I meant my Diamond....

Painite forced a smile on his face but it went away fast.

Painite: I've uh...I've learnt my lesson. I...I-I-I won't do it again.

Painite never made any direct eye contact. White couldn't tell, but it looked like he was muttering to himself in between sentences.

White Diamond: Are...are you ok?

Painite: I'm...fine. I'm just gonna go...back to the a....yeah....

Painite began walking, though he was moving slower than his usual pace. White watched him leave with guilt, there's just something about him.

White Diamond: Wait Painite!

He looked up at her.

White Diamond: I...er...um....I um...

Painite raised and eyebrow.

White Diamond: *sigh* ...I'm sorry.

Painite face looled more shocked.

White Diamond: Locking you in that room clearly had a negative effect on you. You aren't a voice being punished, but, I'll choose a more tame punishment next time.

Painite: Hehe, I-I-It's ok, punishment is punishment. I'll...go now.

He moved at a quicker pace this time. White just stared as he left, maybe she was a bit cruel to him. Maybe she can make it up to him....

White Diamond: Are your eyes closed Painite?

Painite: I literally can't see anything.

White Diamond: Ok...open them.

Painite opened his eyes revealing a massive empty grey room.

White Diamond: I know it doesn't look like much but, step inside.

Painite trusted her, and took a step in. When he did, the room changed, it had furniture, a window, it looked like a normal room.

White Diamond: Due to your mood swings, I've designed a room made to fit your needs. I hope this will suffice.

Painite: Are you kidding?! I love it! Thanks mo-er, my Diamond.

White Diamond: ...Painite, you may call me mother.

Painite looked shocked then smiled.

Painite: Thanks mom!

White Diamond: If course, take some time to get used to the room. Have fun.

Painite nodded, and White left. When she rounded a corner, she was met with Blue and Yellow.

White Diamond: Ah, Blue, Yellow, how may I help you?

Blue Diamond: ....White, Yellow and I have been talking and....

Yellow Diamond: You've grown to attached to this thing.

White Diamond: What ever do you mean?

Yellow Diamond: You've given him fewer punishments, you have him his own room, you've grown too attached.

Project Painite day 116. Subject 146 has earned his own room, he stays in there nearly 7 hours a day, we don't know what he's doing in there. But I swear one day I heard him speak, and a feminine voice replied. I am not authorized to investigate, so, I will leave it alone. The test will continue however.

Project Painite day 124. Subject 146 is beginning to show signs of aggression again, however putting him in his seems to calm him down, but only temporarily. More research must be done to discover as to why.

He's getting worse. Just the other day I caught him trying to attack Yellow Pearl, he seemed to snap out of it quickly. When questioned, he claims he doesn't remember. It is likely this a cover up...what? ...Why are you looking at me like-hey! Get away-hey! AAAH! HELP!

Project Painite day 125. The Peridot assigned to Painite has been shattered, subject 146 was confirmed to be the shatterer. The Diamonds are getting uneasy. He's now contained in a small cube, and is only allowed to go in his room a few hours a day. Testing, will stop continue.

Project Painite day 145. Subject 146 managed to sneak out today, said he just wanted to see what Homeworld was about. He was quickly taken back to his chamber, thankfully no gem saw him. We also discovered he has some immunity to the Diamonds powers, he has their DNA after all. He also mentioned something about a girlfriend, White says she'll make him one when he's older.

Project Painite day.....I don't even know....um....something...horrible happened today.....

The Diamonds: HE WHAT?!?!?!

Peridot2: He shattered himself! And I don't know why! He just walked up to me, said don't bring him back, then he smashed his gem into pieces!

Blue Diamond: I...I don't understand...he seemed to be ok....

Yellow Diamond: What happened to him?

Blue Diamond: What should we do White?

Yellow Diamond: ....White?

They both looked up at her, White's face was filled with terror and sadness.

Yellow Diamond: Are...are you-

White Diamond: Do you have his fragments?

Peridot2: Y-Yes?

White Diamond: Put them in the machine and bring him back.

Peridot2: What?! M-My Diamond, with all do respect, it'll be easier to just make a new one-

White Diamond: DID I ASK FOR YIUR OPINION?!?!

The whole room shook.

Peridot2: Y-Yes M-M-My Diamond!

The Peridot ran of I'm a hurry.

Blue Diamond: What was that?

White Diamond: SHUT UP!

They both jumped as White angrily stomped out. Blue and Yellow looked at each other with fear.

Blue Diamond: She seems really upset about this, should we check his room?

Yellow Diamond: That's a good idea, maybe we'll find some clues.

Blue Diamond: I'm worried about White Yellow, it's project supernova all over again.

Yellow Diamond: We'll worry about that later, let's go investigate.

Blue and Yellow made they're way to Painite's room. When they got there, they gasped.

Yellow Diamond: What on Homeworld?

The room was practically destroyed. Cracks, pieces of the floor missing, even a massive whole in the wall like someone tried to break in....or out.

Blue Diamond: What happened here?

Yellow Diamond: It looks like there was a battle....is that water?

Blue Diamond: It is....this might have something to do with the gems in my court. I'll start questioning them.

Yellow Diamond: Indeed. Painite can't use this room anymore, he's only allowed to be in the test chamber, and the test chamber alone.

Blue Diamond: That may be the best course of action, but would White allow it?

Yellow Diamond: I hope she does Blue, *sigh* this getting out if hand....

~~~Log 42, Final Log

Yellow Diamond: White! Where's the test chamber?!

Blue Diamond: And where's Painite?!

White Diamond: I stopped the project.

Yellow Diamond: What?! Why?!

White Diamond: We've had several problems, the project was going nowhere. As for Painite, he's out and about in Homeworld.

Blue Diamond: What!

White Diamond: It wouldn't make sense to just let him stay here, so I let him go. Don't worry, he's been rejuvenated, he doesn't remember a thing.

Yellow Diamond: White, this so too dangerous! Even if he lost his memory he can get it back! What will happen then? How angry will he be?

White Diamond: That's none if your concern.

Blue Diamond: Yes it is White! We don't even know his full strength! Don't your remember project-

White Diamond: Stop bringing that up.....

Yellow Diamond: He's not something we can just let walk around, he's a bioweapon!

There was a long moment of silence before Pink came in.

Pink Diamond: Guys! There's a new gem!

Yellow Diamond: We know Pink.

Pink Diamond: No! There's two of them!

The Diamonds looked at her with shock.

White Diamond: What? I...but...how?

Pink ran out and the Diamonds followed. When they got outside, they saw a crowd of gems surrounding two.

Gem1: They're brand new.

Gem2: When did they get here?

Gem3: What can they do?

Gem4: Is that one a male?

White Diamond: Move, MOVE!

White looked down and gasped.

Painite: Uh, hey my Diamond...they're uh...kinda rowdy.

Painite: Have any of these ruffians heard of personal space? Already bad enough I have to deal with this pebble.

Painite: Oh fuck you clod.

Pink Diamond: EEEEEEE! This is so exciting!

Yellow Diamond: There's another one?!

Blue Diamond: But...how?

White Diamond: Excuse me, may I ask your purpose.

Painite: To rescue gems of course, you have me that purpose.

Painite: I didn't know that.

Painite: Because you're moron.

Painite clenched his fist, trying not to just sock her in the face. White stood in shock for a bit before snapping out if it.

White Diamond: Well I'll...I'll leave you two to it. Let them go, get out their way!

The gems obeyed, and made a path for them. Both of the Painites began leaving, but Painite couldn't help but noticed some gens given him weird looks and whispering when he past. He shook it off.

Yellow Diamond: Back to work everyone!

The gems scattered, going back to their duties. The Diamonds went back to their throne room.

Blue Diamond: Did we...make another?

Yellow Diamond: No....at least...I don't think so....

White Diamond: We...could've just waited....we didn't have go make him...put him through....

Blue Diamond: ...Are...are you ok White?

White stood in silence, then faced them with a smile.

White Diamond: Isn't this just silly? We could've just waited and the Painite gem line would've started on it's own!

She laughed as Yellow and Blue looked at her with concern.

White Diamond: Anyway, we have duties to attend to, have a good day!

Before Yellow or Blue could say anything, White walked off, still smiling.

Yellow Diamond: *sigh* Well this was a massive waste of time. I'll be in my room.

Blue Diamond: Of course.
