~Luthais P.O.V~

I will be writing from Luthais's point of view only.

It started out as an ordinary day... I really thought everything would be fine. Me, mom, dad and my little brother Lieutenant had just finished watching a movie, and we were going to bed. Well, Lieu and I, that is. Mom and dad were planning to stay up a while longer.

Just as I had finished reading Lieu's bedtime story, I heard a knock at the door. I didn't pay it much mind, as people often came and visited at this hour.

But what I heard after that...

That noise

The gunshot. It would forever be imprinted into my mind. I rushed out to check on my parents, to make sure they were okay. But naturally... All I saw was dust. Dust, and two strangers. They rushed away again

"M-Ma... P-Pa..." I froze, hearing Lieu's voice behind me. I turned around "Lieu go back to your room..." He told him, just barely managing not to sound like I was on the brink of tears. "N-No... Wh-What happened..?" This question almost made me cry. I couldn't tell him the truth! He'd try to get revenge and end up getting killed too... "Mom and dad had to... Go... G-go back to your room, They want us to sleep" I spoke softly, giving Lieu the most convincing look I could at the time

"Oh... Oki..." He spoke, turning around and heading back into his room. I held back a sigh of relief, slowly following. Though, I couldn't hold back my sniffles as I walked. Lieu turned, looking at me again. A worried 'uuu' noise escaped him.

"I-It's nothing bro..." I sniffled "It's nothing..." I spoke. He responded with this "...? You're sniffling..? Uuu..?" I rubbed my left eye before speaking up again "It's nothing. Let's just go to sleep..." I forced a smile, looking him in the eyes.

We went to bed, cuddling until we both fell asleep. I was gonna keep him safe...
