'You got some nerve trying to leave my sister like that Ambrose. And I want to hate you... but I can't. You made my sister happy when I'm not there, and you're not done yet. If you think for a second that suicide was you twos way out, you're about to have a rude awakening. And that awakening starts now.'
"Brie..." I mumbled slightly as my eyes opened, immediately burning from the bright lights overhead and a loud beeping filled my ears, but my burning eyes became the least of my worries as literally everywhere began to throb.
I groaned loudly and the beeping increases at a faster rate.
I attempted to move my arm and I let out loud yell from the pain that struck it, the beeping on a steady rise.
"Dean?" I heard a sleepy voice says, the again in more of a panicked voice, "Dean?"
I felt my breathing increase as pain surged through out my body. I caught sounds of someone moving, but it soon tuned out as the sound of my heart beating in my ears became the only thing I could hear.
Seconds later, the face of an old man appeared next to me.
"It's alright Dean." He said as he thumped a syringe, "Calm down. Everything's gonna be ok. You're in good hands."
"It's ok Dean." Roman said seconds later, appearing next to me as the doctor injected the medicine into my arm, earning another yell from me.
'Wait...' I thought to myself, 'Roman??'
"Roman?" I asked, my own words sounding a bit slurred as though I had been drinking and immediately feeling myself become tired.
He shushed me, "Take it easy, Dean. It's ok. Rest."
I'm not dead.
I'm not dead because Roman's not dead.
You gotta be fucking kidding me.
The pain seemed to fade some as my eyes began to get heavy, but I felt something press against my hand.
I lazily glanced to my hand and saw nothing there, but could still feel as though something was holding it.
Images flashed in my head and suddenly, one person came to mind.
"Nikki?" I asked as I grew more exhausted by the second.
"Rest Dean." Roman repeated, "Nikki's resting. You need to rest too."
'Resting?' I questioned, 'No... no... no, no, no.'
The beeping seemed to increase again and Roman's eyes widened.
"No, Dean that's not what I meant." He said quickly, "She hasn't woken up yet. She's resting, but she's ok. You two have just been asleep for a long time. But go back to sleep for right now... we'll talk when you wake up... we have a lot to discuss."
I wanted to protest and demand him to tell me where she was, or better yet, go find her myself.
But my eyes kept getting heavier with every passing second, and I soon found myself in a restless sleep.
I wasn't dead like I wanted to be...
I was alive... and I was unsure of why I needed to be...
