I walked back into the dark hotel room and my ears were immediately filled with Roman's soft snore, which was odd considering that he usually sounded like a freight train.
I glance at the clock and see that it was now nearing 4 am and we had a plane to catch by 5.
"Hey big guy." I say while walking over to his bed and shaking his shoulder, "rise and shine brother we got a plane to catch."
"Five more minutes Lina." He mumbled while turning over and I sighed at the nickname he use to call his ex.
"I'm not that beast you use to call a wife babe," I tease him and push him slightly, "Get up Roman. You don't want us to be late."
He groaned, but sat up and rubbed his eyes as his hair flowed wildly down his back and over his shoulders.
"Good boy." I teased while ruffling his hair, which he tried to swat me away as he tiredly trudged to the bathroom.
I sigh to myself as I heard the shower water begin to run. It was actually fairly easy waking him him up this morning. Normally he would have had a mental breakdown at the thought of opening his eyes without having his 8 year old near him. Maybe he was getting better, maybe he was getting worse, I'll have to watch him for now.
I walk over to his bag and reach for the several pill bottles that his doctors had described to him and take out the correct amount that he needed, then take out the unnecessary once that he would end up getting addicted to and threw them in the trash. I fixed him a glass of water and left it on his nightstand.
Having already changed into the clothes that I would wear for the day before I had went down to the lobby, I decided to step out into the balcony until Roman was ready.
I look out at the city of whatever in whatever state we were in, with as much as I travel, I loose track/didn't care.
"It's a long way down." I mumbled as I climbed the rail, then positioned myself to where I was able to sit in it while my feet dangled off the edge.
Was I going to jump? I damn well might as well, but what was it going to do? I'm in no way scared of death, it almost interests me, but at this moment, Roman needed me, and I promised him that I would be there for him at all costs, I'm not just going to leave him.
I close my eyes as a gust of wind blew by and I sigh once again.
I was at peace at the moment. Nobody was here to bother me, bug me. No fans asking for autographs or a picture. No flashing lights, no fancy things, it was just me, the night sky and silence. Not even the cars below made much noise.
I heard a giggle and my eyes immediately snap open and glance around for the noise.
Several feet below me, walked the happy couple of John Cena and Nicole Bella. She laughed widely at something the man had said as she hung onto his arm tightly.
I growl and make my fingers into a gun and shoot it one time at the area of her feet, as thought my finger could actually supply bullets.
As soon as I did the action she turned around and looked up as her boyfriend went on about something. Her eyes went wide and her smile dropped at the sight of the position I was in.
I simply smirked and pressed a finger to my lips, telling her to be quiet and not to alert the man beside her.
I could see her mouth the words, 'please don't jump' and if I wasn't on this edge, I would have doubled over laughing.
Jump?
She's worried about me jumping. Jesus fucking Christ, I wish she would just mind her own damn business?
She thinks I'm depressed or something? She thinks because I can't fucking be like her, all fucking happy all the fucking time that I'm fucking suicidal?? Every nerve in my body ached to just prove her right. Just take this jump and hear her scream, to see the tears run down her face and the memory to be scared in her memory until the day she died.
"Dean." I hear Roman say behind me and I turn my head to see him with his bags already in his hand, "I'm ready. Why are you sitting on the ledge again? You'll scare people."
I smirk back down at Bella before hoping back into the balcony and walking toward the door.
"Sorry big guy, it's peaceful." I say to him. Roman had seen me sit like for quite a while now, he eventually stopped worrying about it and just let me do what I want. I guess he figured if I wanted to end things, I would have done it already.
"Take your medicine?" I ask him as I grab my bag.
"Yeah." He answered plainly as he checked around the room to see if we had left anything.
"Alright then bud," I say to him, "Let's get going, beating the early morning traffic would be a smart idea."
He nodded and walk towards the door and I walked back over to the balcony to slide the door shut. Before I do, I glance and see Bella still looking up here.
I shake my head and flip her the bird before closing the door and walking after Roman.
