"You didn't answer your phone last night." Brie said to me.

I sighed and laid my head back on the seat.

John and Daniel sat in the front seat, discussing directions to get to the arena while rain poured outside of the car.

Brie and I sat in the back and she hadn't left me alone since we had gotten here.

"I was sleep Brie." I simply said as I closed my eyes.

"No you weren't." I heard her voice say, "Don't lie to me Nicole."

"Do we really have to discuss this right now?" I asked her, "I mean it's not like I'm dead or anything, gosh."

"But you could have been." She nagged, "And I wouldn't have known because you didn't answer your phone."

I groaned and immediately went to grab my earphones, but she knocked them out of my hands the minute I grabbed them, causing them to fall onto the floor of the car where I couldn't reach.

"Your such a bitch sometimes." I say while laying my head on the foggy window, but immediately sat up when she tugged my arm roughly, "What Brie, what!"

The entire got quite at the sound of my voice rising.

"You girls alright back there?" John asked while looking back at the two of us.

"Peachy." I mumbled as him and Daniel went back to talking.

I glanced at Brie and saw her giving me a look of concern.

"You can stop staring at me, y'know." I mumbled.

"You were with him last night weren't you?" She said while glaring at me.

"I wasn't with him-" I started to say but she cut me off.

"Yes you were. I can tell because your starting to freaking act like him." She shot at me again.

"I was freaking in his presence for less than five minutes!" I whisper shouted at her.

"Doesn't matter!" She whisper shouted back and rolled her eyes at my groaning, "Have you even talked to John about this?"

"Brie, you act as if I talk to John, then the world will be a better place." I mumbled, "No I haven't talked to John. Will you give me some freaking time?"

"All I've given you is time!" She shouted lowly at me, "You could have been told him. This could have been over with, but no. You want to continue playing this fucked up game."

"I'm trying to help him!" I whispered loudly back to her, "You wouldn't understand."

She shook her head at me and looked away, "I can't believe I have to call you my sister."

I shook my head at her words but never took them to heart.

For the next 20 minutes, the only thing I could hear was the heavy rain beating against the rental car we were in. It was peaceful in a way, yet it was almost too noisy.

As we approached the arena, I could already see the endless line of fans standing in the rain, and I groaned at the thought of us having to try to get through all of them in order to get inside.

Daniel pulled the car to a stop and the arena security were already there waiting for us with umbrellas.

"Nikki." Brie said with a sigh as they opened her door, "I don't want you to think that I'm just fussing at you. I just know what's best for you ok? You know I love you."

I didn't respond to her as she exited the car, myself being close behind her.

'Know what's best for me?' I thought to myself as I let Brie walk with the man holding the umbrella while I simply placed John's jacket over my head and look down at the wet ground.

Brie didn't know what was for me and that was a damn fact. She always though she did, but no, she didn't. Yes, I knew sometimes she was just trying to be good at heart, but somethings were just better left alone.

A loud crack of thunder boomed over head and a few of the lighthearted fans screamed at the noise. But a yell caught my attention.

I quickly glance up to see that my sister had stopped dead in her tracks. I tried glancing around her to see what she had been looking at, but my eyes stayed glued on her as I slowly watched her fall to the ground.

"Brie?" I questions as the fans lost their minds around me.

"Brie!" I could hear Daniel's voice shout from somewhere as the security tried with all their power to keep the fans away.

"Brie?" I asked again quietly to myself and I could hear my heartbeat long in my ears as the screams faded out.

"Stay back!" One of the guards shouted at me but I simply pushed past him.

"Brie?" I say while dropping to my knees in front next to her, my entire body shaking as I saw red leaking from the left side of her body, "Brie."

"Nicole?" She questioned, glancing around as though she was fine, but her face pale.

"Brie, no." I mumbled as I lifted her shirt slightly as screams echoed around us. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see a guard tackle a man to the ground, something sliding out of his hand and in my direction.

When my eyes landed on the weapon, my head started piecing things together and my breathing increased.

'No. No. No no no no.' I chanted in my head.

"Nikki." Brie's voice said as she laid her head on the ground, "Nikki what's going on?"

"Stay with me Brie, just stay here." I said quietly.

"I'm here." She said as I frantically looked around.

"Somebody help her!" I shouted to anyone around us, but everyone seemed to busy trying to keep the fans away, "Somebody please!"

"I'm ok Nikki, I'm ok." She said to me but I ignored the lie.

"Somebody please!" I shouted again, and seconds later Daniel appeared next to me.

"No!" He shouted as he touched her side, "No, no no!"

"Daniel I'm ok." She said and closed her eyes.

"No no," he chanted, "Stay with me, Brie. Stay with me, I'm right here baby. Keep those beautiful eyes open for me ok?"

"Brie." I mumbled again while grabbing her hand and squeezing her hand.

Her eyes opened again at the contact and I could see the distance in them.

"Brie no, don't." I say to her as her head began to nod off, "Brie!"

"Nikki are-" I heard John's voice say but I paid him no mind, "Oh my god..."

"I love you so much Daniel." She whispered and I felt her give my hand a squeeze.

"Brie please, just stay there." I say to her, tears mixing with the falling rain.

"I'm sorry Nicole." She said to me and closed her eyes again, "I'm sorry."

"Will somebody fucking help her!" I heard John shout.

She opened her eyes and glanced at me one last time, giving my hand a strong squeeze but then slowly released it.

"No." I mumbled as Daniel shook her, "No Brie, come back! Come back!"

I squeezed her hand once

Then again.

And again.

And again.

And I got nothing.

Nothing.

Nothing.

"Move back!" The gaurds shouted at the three of us and tried to push us away from her.

"Let me go!" Daniel shouted, tears staining his face, "That's my wife! Brianna!"

Nothing.

She didn't tell anything back to him.

Nothing.

Not a scream to let her husband come near her.

Nothing.

Was she gone?

No. Her body was there.

But she couldn't answer me.

She couldn't move.

It was like half of me wasn't even there anymore.

Nothing.

That's what life was now.

Nothing.
