Epilogue.
A year had passed since the happening with the civil war, and months since James Buchanan Barnes went back under cyrosis.
The 'outlaws' had stayed under the Wakandian princes care, residing in that of the panther hideout.
The physical pain had left, physical wounds had healed and they were healthy once more. However, mentally?
They were scarred, too damaged beyond prepare to fix what remained. Their anger had withered away and all that remained was sadness.
"Morning Cap" Wanda chimed with Pietro at her side, treading into the kitchen and finding the soldier to be seated at the table with a cup of coffee in hand.
"Good morning Wanda, Pietro" he mumbled, gaze fixed on the newspaper he held in his hand.
"What's so good about it?" Marina grumbled, her and Clint stumbling into the kitchen and the two squabbling and frantically trying to grasp at the coffee pot for themselves.
In the end, Clint won.
Marina dropped into a seat at the table, grumbling to herself as the archer poured himself a cup but also, poured her one. Pietro just chuckled and planted a kiss on her forehead before he also took a seat.
She grinned up at the archer when he handed her the steaming mug, a look of satisfaction on her face as she drank from the white mug.
"Wow, so you guys do eat breakfast" Sam chuckled, strutting into the kitchen and stealing a piece of toast of Steve's plate that the blonde grumbled about.
He dropped himself into his seat, the only person now missing was T'challa since Scott had left earlier to see Cassie.
To speak of the devil, he came walking in not long after Sam. He was tired, just like them rest of them as he dropped into the seat and took the mug of coffee that Wanda poured for him.
"What? Do we all run on caffeine?" Pietro snickered, running a hand through his silver locks before stealing a strawberry from Wanda's plate, to which she pouted at.
Marina just laughed softly, running her fingers through her rainbow hair and then tracing over the scar that ran all around her neck. It was a reminder. A reminder that not always could your friends and even your family be trusted.
Pietro noticed her distant look and leaned in, kissing her neck softly right atop of her scar as a sense of comfort.
"We all have our scars Rina, you just learn to deal with them" he whispered softly, pads of his thumbs rubbing against her cheeks before she smiled at him and he returned the gesture before moving back.
Wanda smiled her way, gesturing her plate of pancakes to Marina in which she gratefully took one and munched in it happily.
"My prince, we have a problem!" One of T'challas warriors came rushing into the room.
"Speak" he ordered.
"Tony Stark and his Team, they have just landed a jet right outside the hideout"
The words processed instantly in Marinas mind and she thought of only one thing. Lyla. She missed her. It was different to when she thought she was dead, since there was no way of her coming back. However, since she was alive and Marina knew she couldn't see her over the year, she jumped at the chance to see her now.
She sprung from her seat, sprinting straight out of the room and seeming to be faster that Pietro as she left the hideout for the landing strips. The others followed after her, Wanda hopping in Pietro's arms and the Maximoff twins arriving at Marinas side in no time.
She waited anxiously, the jet door sliding open and Stark stepping out first with Rhodes, Vision and Natasha following after. The other finally reached Marinas and the Maximoffs side, looking the four up and down.
Marina only cared for one person right now though, and she slowly exited the aircraft.
Her pink eyes lit up, meeting the purple ones of her sister.
"Lyla?" She asked.
"Marina?" Said girl questioned before squeals left the two girls mouths and they ran at each other.
When they gripped each other, they spun before settling and grasping onto one an other like there was no tomorrow. Their faces were buried into each others shoulders as they happily smiled.
"I missed you" Lyla breathed, pulling up so she could see her sisters face.
"I missed you too" Marina smiled, looking into her sisters familiar purple eyes.
They held each others hands, looking around to find the others all making amends. But one amend they were extremely thankful for, was Steve's and Tony's.
"So, what's the reason your here?" Steve questioned, glancing to the Jackson twins as they moved to stand with the others.
"Ever heard of a guy called Thanos?"
