Rory's pov :

I let out a small groan, as I stretched my strained neck. I pushed myself up from the hard, wooden floor with the help of the bed I was leaning against.
As I was stumbling through the sunny rays of light shining through the open window, I felt something slushy under my feet. I looked down to find myself standing in a puddle of crimson red.
Feeling more awake, I looked around me, and was met with the same blank room that my brother had been in last night. The room I was supposed to leave last night. Why am I still here? Jase is gonna kill me!
My head was pounding, and I waded my way through the scarlet puddles to the door. My eyes landed on my unmoving brother, and I silently said goodbye before disappearing into the maze of a hallway.
With my head still throbbing, I made my way through the halls. I turned and turned and turned. The halls all looked the same, and I could find no way out nor did I see anyone who could help. Screaming would have been an option but my scratchy throat wouldn't let my voice to reach much louder than a whisper.
As I rounded my tenth right turn, I saw a crimson drop on the wooden floor. Ignoring the increased throbbing in my head I began to run, following the trail of wet crimson. For the first time since I've been in this maze, I felt hope of escaping.
As I kept following the droplets, I would smear them so I would know where I came from and where I needed to go. After the tenth right turn, though, I came across smeared droplets. I've been running in circles.
Every ounce of hope I had left, was drained. And the throbbing in my head became more violent. I held my head in my hands as I wondered aimlessly through the halls.
After what seemed to be hours of traveling through the same loops, I found the stairs. Despite wanting to smile, I couldn't. The pain in my head grew to be too much, and all I was capable of doing was grimacing.
There were faint noises coming from downstairs, but I couldn't make out what they were. All I could hear was the rushing in my ears, the pounding in my head and my racing heart.
Using the hand rails for support, I stumbled my way down the staircase and towards the noises. My body felt weak, like it could give out at any moment, as I dragged my feet along the cold floors of the Alpha's Manner.
"What the hell were you thinking?! You disobeyed my direct orders and endangered my mate!" I heard a gruff voice sound from in front of me.
"Jase! You know we would never let our Luna get hurt!" Another voice sounded.
I reached the room the voices were coming from, and saw Jase pacing back and forth with a distraught look on his face while Grey, Kai and Dylan stood against the wall.
"J-jase?" My voice came out small and weak.
All four heads snapped towards me. "Auri, sweetheart, are you alright?" Jase asked, his was voice full of concern while his eyes were filled with fiery rage.
I gave him a curious glance, "Yeah, why?"
"Because you're hurt, sweetheart," Jase's voice cracked as his hand caressed my face.
"It's just a headache," I replied, brushing it off.
As the words left my mouth, though, the world began to blur until all I saw was black.
