previously :

He has his arms sprawled out, and his legs as well, blood was oozing from his nose and pouring out of his mouth.
I dropped my meal and ran to my brother's side. "Darren stay with me!" Tears were shamelessly pouring down my face, "Please! Darren!"
"Look for h—" Darren's eyes drooped, and his sentence was cut off.
"Darren!" I was screaming through my tears, "Please!"

Rory's pov :

"Darren!" I continued to shake him as I sobbed.
"Please." My voice had grown hoarse, and now was barely a whisper.
There was no response, but what had I expected? He hasn't responded since his eyes closed.
I gave him one last shake before I jumped up and dashed to the door as tears continued to stream down my face. I managed to find my way downstairs without getting lost and scrambled out of the front door as quick as I could. I was fully sprinting and the tears wouldn't stop, but I didn't slow down for a second. I dashed into the pack square, and darted straight to the pack doctor's house.
I banged on the door, my face soaked from tears, my hair knotted and blood on my hands and knees. There was no answer, so I pounded the door again. Nothing.
My heart was racing, faster than when I was running. What if I can't get help in time? What if Darren doesn't wake up?
The thoughts kept swirling in my mind as I raced to the next door over. In a pack, the families are arranged in homes based on the head of the family's occupation and rank, so I was in the medic section, or neighborhood, and since Greg, the highest ranked pack doctor, wasn't home, I have to go see the other doctors.
I pounded on door after door, but nothing. I was at the last house of doctors, "Please!" I sobbed as I banged on the door.
Nothing. Just like the rest. I slid down the door and sobbed. I sobbed relentlessly, hugging my knees. I had failed. I failed him.
If I hadn't gone down maybe whatever happened would have happened to me instead of him. And if I didn't get lost he could have told me how to help. And if I was a wolf I could have carried him to help. If I was a wolf I could of run faster. I could of called someone through the mind link.
But I'm not a wolf. So I'm just going to have to pick my depressed ass off of the ground and save my brother.
I gave myself a pep talk as I sprinted to the pack house. I threw the grand, front door open and ran towards the offices. The first office to come into view was the Head Warrior's office, so I threw open the door, only to run into an empty room.
One by one, I ran into open offices. By now some the wolves in the pack house were giving me strange looks, but minded their own business. And it's good they didn't because the pack house only has wolves without mates and children, so teenagers that aren't old enough to be professionals and are no use in helping Darren.
Finally, the last office came into view. It was the Alpha's office.
I threw open the door, and unlike the rest it was full. Doctors and other high ranking wolves were in the room, and all of their heads immediately snapped to me—the psychotic looking girl with blood smeared on her.
"J-Jase. D-Darren i-is d-dying!" I said, slightly panting, and with tears streaming down my face again.
Jase shook of the look of shock and quickly jumped out of his seat, "Every medic go to the Alpha manner now!" He bellowed.
Men and women alike scrambled out of the office and took off to Darren, and the other high ranking wolves bowed in respect before departing.
I began to get lost in Jase's eyes before shaking it off. I quickly turned around, prepared to sprint back to my brother's side.
"Wait." Jase's voice was soft and velvety, "Come with me."
Jase didn't give me much of a choice, as he picked me up bridal style, and ran at an inhuman speed.
My surroundings were blurred as I clung to Jase while he ran.
"Wait Jase!" He came to a sudden halt and checked me for injuries, but looked at me confused when he didn't find me injured.
"You have to turn, the Alpha manmer is that way." I pointed to the left.
He let out a sigh, almost as if he was relieved that I wasn't physically hurt, "We're not going to the Alpha manner." He said.
I looked at him unbelievably.
"We're going to your place." He continued.
"No! We're going to Darren! I have to see Darren!" The tears flowed freely again as I struggled in Jase's arms.
"Auri, we need to get you cleaned up." It angered me how calm he was.
"How can you be so fucking calm?! My brother, your best friend, is dying!" My tears came out in the dozens.
He pulled me closer to his chest, "It's okay, everything is going to get better."
"How can it?! Darren is dying!"
"Shh..." He cooed, "Darren is strong, he will pull out of this."
"But—"
"No, you have to take care of yourself."
"But—"
"Darren would want you to." He stared directly into my eyes, and I knew he was right.
I slumped in his arms, and he carried me to the house as if I weighed nothing. He opened the door, and set me down on the couch.
"Go get cleaned up, and I'll make you something to eat."
"Can we go see Darren after?" I asked, my lip slightly quivering.
He sighed, and pulled me close, "Of course." He pecked my forehead and I relaxed in his arms.
Me and Jase. Jase and me. We've never been this way before, but I need the comfort, and right now I felt safest in his arms.
"Go get ready, Princess. I'll be waiting right here until you're done."

Jase's pov :
(In the meeting)
The pack doctors piled into my office, along with Grey, the gamma, Kai, the delta, Dylan, my head warrior, Brent, the retired Beta and Rory's father and finally, my father, the retired Alpha.
"Everyone take a seat," I said firmly. "As you all know I have found my mate, however, she is not yet of age so she isn't aware that I am her mate. That being said, she doesn't know she is your Luna, but others do. Earlier, she and the Beta were in the car when a rogue flipped the car, injuring my mate and beta."
The room erupted in growls. "Kill the rogue!" "That bastard deserves death!" Everyone began to talk. Among us, it was unanimously decided that the rogue should be killed, and so killed it shall be.
"Quiet," the room immediately silenced, "The rogue will be killed," there were hoots of victory, "But no one is to mention this to the Luna, understood?"
"Yes Alpha."
"Alpha when will we meet Luna Ror—"
The door flew open and on the other side stood Auri.
