Zoe was frozen in horror as she watched the scene before her. Memories flashed in her mind of the fear and devastation that she felt that day returned. Bucky gripped her hand tightly "Angel Please let's go, I can't watch this... I can't see what I almost did...." Bucky pleaded. Just as she went to turn away a light began to glow from both little Zoe and Winter Solider purple and silver threads began to reach out from their hearts and intertwine with each other. Zoe felt a tickle on her wrist that held her bracelet and Bucky's hand the bracelets glow and each half reached towards the other. "Doll what is happening?" asked Bucky confused.

Zoe just smiled "Bucky this were our souls first connected and felt the pull towards each other, This why the Winter Soldier didn't fulfill his mission cause even then your soul knew mine and couldn't harm me" said Zoe in almost a whisper.

Bucky took a deep breath and pulled her close to him and kissed her cheek. "See this why your an angel and enlightened my soul chasing away all the darkness within it" whispered Bucky. The Winter Soldier sets little Zoe down even though she screaming he brushes her cheek. Bucky just holds on to Zoe but she squeezes his hand to reassure him. "You know Zoe that was the first time in almost 70 yrs I felt something other than pain it was like some was taken from me" said Bucky. Zoe nodded "All I really remember was pain I think my soul wanted to give yours some peace even though I was so young I just wanted your pain to stop" said Zoe. Winter Soldier and little Zoe stared at Bucky and Zoe then they both just disappeared.

Zoe just began to walk away with Bucky in hand when she heard a voice. "Bucky? Zoe?" a sad voice asked. Bucky groaned " Just keep going Zoe don't listen to him" he said pushing her slightly forward. "Zoe how can you do this me? How can you be with him? You are breaking my heart..."said the voice. Zoe closed her eyes and kept walking towards the river. " You Bucky my best friend stealing my girl how could you? "I finally had the girl and you swoop in with your charms  always such a ladies man asked the voice. Bucky stopped. "Steve?" said Bucky he began to turn but Zoe pulled him along. "Come on Bucky" said Zoe. A laugh filled their ears " Seriously you two can't be a real thing both so broken and pathetic, I mean look at Zoe so desperate for love she jump in my bed so quickly and you are a good fuck especially when it was thoughts of Peggy getting me off"snapped the voice laughing maliciously. Zoe stopped pain surging like a jolt in her heart but Bucky push her forward "I got you Angel" he whispered.

Zoe nodded a took steps forward then there were shouts of anger. It in desperate tone "Really this women will be the end of the line for us Bucky? After all we have been through you going to throw all that away for HER" yelled the voice. Laughing it continued "You always have to remember that she chose me first, she jumped in my arms and bed so willingly" laughed the voice as Bucky stopped. The voice got louder "Yeah she choose me first I mean can you blame her you broken man who killed her father...she loved me first and is only settling with you.... You will never deserve her..."  Crackled the voice.

Bucky stopped, the voice getting to his head and his heart he began sinking to his knees. Zoe who had been by his side began to be pulled down with him. "Bucky don't listen it just our doubts and fears trying to stop us, to hold us back" said Zoe softly. Bucky looked up her with tears flowing down his face. "Angel he speaks the truth I don't deserve you I am second choice...you will never love me like love you him" cried Bucky putting his head down and bury them in his hand. Zoe sighed her heart breaking at his pain she got to her knees and wrapped her arm around him. "Bucky listen to me I love you and I am so sorry that you feel like you're second choice I know that feels believe me" said Zoe softly. Bucky shook his head but Zoe got in front of him and place her hands on the side his face. "Bucky look at me" she said firmly, Bucky opened his blue eyes were gleaming with tears. "Yes Steve was there first but there was always doubt and no real deep connection and I had to work his love, but the moment I meet you there was an instant spark and a real connection and you loved so freely" said Zoe. "You are my soulmate and I need you in my life I won't be to compete without you" cried Zoe. "We are intertwined in soul and mind both broken and not whole without the other, Bucky I will never be whole without you, I will never love anyone the way I love you" finished Zoe leaning giving him a kiss he returned it like a man starved. She pulled back and stood up helping him up as well. Bucky gave her a smile "Oh Angel, my light, only you can bring me from the darkest of places I love you too" said Bucky in a whisper and kissed her deeply. The voice kept screaming and yelling but their love just tune it all out and they walked hand in hand not looking back only forward and together.

The sunshine blinded Zoe's eyes as she walked out the cave she placed her hand on her forehead to block out the sun. Zoe saw Athena and Hermes standing near the cave entrance and at their feet was Bucky's body. Zoe and Bucky walked over to them Bucky looked down and pulled a face. "It's so weird to see your own body lying there lifeless" said Bucky with a shudder. Athena step forward "Now Zoe to return his soul to his body you must kiss him" said Athena. Zoe turn to Bucky "I hope you're ready for true love kiss Prince Charming" Zoe smirked at Bucky who just rolled his eyes "Only if it's from you Angel" replied Bucky licking his lips and giving her a sly smile. Still hold Bucky's hand she kneeled down and placed a soft kiss on Bucky lips a warmth spread throughout her body and soon two hands one flesh and one metal was grasping her trying to get closer to her.

Lips were touching and hands were moving soon Zoe was straddled across Bucky's lap. Zoe was lost in his touches when she remembered and heard a cough pulled her back into reality. She pulled away much to Bucky's dismay, She looked up to see Athena glaring at her and Hermes clearly not knowing where to look. "Sorry Mom and Uncle I got carried away there for a moment" said Zoe in ashamed tone. Athena just shook her head "Well I get the want of being near your soulmate but please keep it to a PG level especially in front of me, I love you Zoe but I don't need to see you intertwined with Bucky" said Athena with a look of discomfort. Zoe stood up and helped up Bucky he pulled her close to him and whispered in her ear "Doll when we're all alone we will be nothing but intertwined for as long as we can cause I am never letting you go!" he said in a a husky tone. Zoe shivered at the thought of it and blushed deeply but then just smirked and kissed Bucky deeply.
