Two days later Zoe went to find her brother to ask to borrow a car she want to run some errands she found him in the conference room "Hey Tony can I borrow a car I need to run a few errands..."she asked but stopped when she saw that Tony was with Steve. Both men looked at her Tony smiled and Steve went red, Zoe looked quickly away from Steve and to Tony " Oh sorry I didn't realize you were having a meeting I will come back later" said Zoe stiffly and started to walk out the door.
But Tony got up and "Wait Zo we are just about done you said something about needing a car to run some errands?" asked Tony. "Yeah I did I just want to go to a grocery store or a Walmart to grab some more things if that's okay" replied Zoe. Tony shook his head "No, but you need to take another Avenger with you I can't I have a meeting and Nat and Thor and Clint aren't here but why not go with Steve here" said Tony raising his eyebrows and giving her a quick wink. Zoe blushed a little but shook her head "Why do I need another person with me I can be fine on my own?" asked Zoe rather annoyed.

Tony just crossed his arms "Because dear sister since you informed us of Hydra I don't trust them not to try anything so this is why I would like someone accompanying you" replied Tony firmly. Zoe rolled her eyes "Okay why can't Happy come with me then?" asked Zoe. "Because he is driving me to the meeting, besides Steve said himself earlier  said he need to run some errands himself right Captain?" stated Tony. "No I can't wait for Nat or Thor I wouldn't want to TROUBLE the Captain with anything" snapped Zoe. Tony raised an eyebrow at Zoe tone and went to question but Steve cut him off. "Zoe it would be no TROUBLE at all besides I wanted to talk to you about a few things anyway especially about what we discussed the other day" said Steve looking directly in Zoe's eyes. Zoe blushed and turned away. Tony tilted his head in confusion but shrugged it off "Okay it's settled Zoe and Capsicle can run errands together" said Tony happily. Zoe sighed "When will you like to leave Steven?" asked Zoe. Steve looked at her "Give me about 45 minutes and meet me in the common room" he stated. Zoe only nodded and walked out the room. Tony looked at Steve with a serious look "Steve whatever you did to my sister you needs to be worked out and your attitude towards her needs to change she did nothing wrong just revealed that your little Miss Perfect wasn't so perfect after all" snapped Tony. Steve grimaced at this statement but didn't say anything only gave a curt nod. Tony rolled his eyes "I mean it Steve fix it and as soon as possible" said Tony and he too walked out of room.

Zoe went to the common room about 40 minutes later to be a little early and not have Steve wait for her the last thing she needed was something else for him to complain about her. Zoe nervously began tracing a circle on her palm with her thumb something she always did when she was nervous. She sat down on the couch and picked up a magazine that was on the coffee table and began mindlessly looking through it. A few minutes later "Zoe?" called Steve. Zoe looked up to see him standing in the doorway she gave him a slight frown because her heart started to beat a little faster and she hated that he had that effect on her. She stood up "Ready to go Mr. Rogers?" she asked coldly. Steve just nodded "Of course Miss Stark" he responded with the same tone. Zoe rolled her eyes but walked over to him "Okay let's get going" said Zoe.

They got out to the garage Zoe looked around at all the cars "So which one are we taking?" asked. Steve didn't answer and just walked over to a SUV and held the passenger door open for her "Miss Stark" he snipped. Zoe just walked quickly and got in "Thank you" she said as she sat and buckled her seatbelt. "Your welcome" he responded and shut the door. "Oh this is going to be so fun" Zoe complained as he walked around to the other side of the car. Once Steve got in he looked over at her "So where would the Miss Stark like to go?" he asked. Zoe "Just a store like Walmart or Target I just wanted to grab some snacks and some personal items, and what errands do you need to accomplish today?" asked Zoe. Steve snapped his seatbelt and started the car "I also need to a grocery store and then run to the bookstore and used music store to get some books and records" replied Steve. Zoe smiled "Oh the bookstore I love books and records are the best way to listen to music, I worked at bookstore back in the other reality!" said Zoe excitedly. Steve was slightly taken aback how how her smile lite up her whole face and her eyes brighten! "Let's do the book and music stores first then let's go to Walmart" said Zoe practically jumping in her seat. This made Steve laugh slightly "Okay let's go" said Steve with a smirk.

The bookstore was a little bit bigger than the one she had worked at and it gave her a little sense of normalcy that had been missing since is had come here and she just got lost in picking out books she had to grab copies of all her favorites she was looking at illustrated copy of the Hobbit it was a beautiful edition that she would have just dreamed of owning but could never afford back in the other reality but now... and when they found Bucky maybe it could bring him some comfort. "What to you got there?" asked a voice from behind her which made Zoe jump and give a small yelp out surprise that made her drop her basket and the book in her hand. She turn around to Steve "Sorry Zoe I didn't mean to scare you, I was just wondering what had you so engrossed like you were in another world" said Steve as he bent down with her to pick up books that Zoe had dropped. They placed them in the basket when they both reached for the Hobbit Steve quickly grabbed as soon as he saw the title he traced the cover and sighed and closed his eyes. Zoe saw this and bit her lip " That's what had me so engrossed it's a beautiful copy and I have always wanted a copy like that it's one of my favorites" said Zoe with a small smile. "It's a good one I have read it myself" said Steve as he handed back to her. Zoe nodded " Did you read it at the same time as Bucky?" asked Zoe. Steve looked at her in surprise "It's one of his favorite right?" she asked. Steve shook his head "You surprises me on how much you know" said Steve quietly and then walked away. Zoe looked down at the book shook her head but placed it in the basket and made her way to the checkout.

They made a quick trip to the music store Zoe didn't say a word to Steve and left him to his own devices while she picked out her own music. She also needed a record player while looking some of the models Steve came next to her "This model is pretty good I have a similar one myself" said Steve pointing to the one in front of him. Zoe set the records she had picked out down to look over the model. "This is a little bit older than the one I had back home but it is a nice model" said Zoe. Steve just nodded. "I got what I needed are you good to go?" asked Steve. Zoe grabbed the Record player and her records and followed Steve to the checkout. The cashier smiled at both of them " Oh it's good to people with actual good taste in music and such a variety" said the cashier waving Zoe's copy of Led Zeppelin's Mothership and Steve's copy of Lou Armstrong. Zoe hand the cashier her card Steve went to protest but Zoe held up her hand to silence him "I am buying to thank you for bringing me so keep quite and just let me okay" said Zoe firmly. Steve just shook his head "You and Tony are definitely siblings both to bossy and think you know what's best" said Steve teasing tone. Zoe smirked and shrugged.

"I can't you believe eat those they are disgusting" said Steve pulling a face as Zoe popped a Flamin Hot Cheetos in her mouth. Zoe just laughed "Oh come on they are delicious sorry you can't handle the flavor heck I swear pepper is to much for you when you come from a time when they boil everything" said Zoe in a teasing tone. Steve just smirked and shook his head "Okay you got me there but you shouldn't be eating in the car" said Steve. Zoe just smiled "I am hungry so I am eating what I have in hand" said Zoe gesturing to the Cheetos bag. Steve shook his head "Well let's get some real food not that junk your eating" said Steve. "Ooh let's get some cheeseburgers" sang Zoe. "Oh god there really is another one" said Steve. Zoe smirked "Language Captain" she said as she gave him a wink which made Steve just roll his eyes.
Steve pulled into a small dinner "This is Tony's favorite place to get cheeseburgers so you probably will love it too" said he said as he parked the SUV. Once they were seated a booth a waitress came over to the table handing them some menus. "What can I get for you folks to drink?" asked the waitress with a Boston accent that made Zoe smile. "Do you have Polar Seltzer here?" asked Zoe letting her own accent out. The waitress smile "Of course, what kind do you want?" she asked. "Black Cherry if you please and can I get a cheeseburger with no onions but double pickles and tomatoes and a side of ketchup and mayonnaise if can I please." replied Zoe. The waitress nodded "Of course, What about you sweetheart do you have your mind made up like your girlfriend here?" asked the waitress. This statement made Steve cough and blush "Ummm I guess I will have the same as her if you please and she's not my girlfriend just a friend" said Steve. The waitress rolled her eyes "I will get that put in for ya and you sir should make her more than a friend a women as beautiful as her won't be single for long" snap the waitress giving Zoe a wink and walked a away. Both Steve and Zoe blushed hard and couldn't look at each other for a few moments when Zoe "So do you want to talk about what happened the other day or not Steve I don't want there to be conflict between us I want to be friends or at least cordial with each other but I will not have you snap at me every time the Carters come up, I know don't know everything that happened with my dad and Peggy but something did and that all ended when he met my mother and Peggy took it out on me if you can't accept that then you and I won't be friends" said Zoe firmly.

Steve sighed and closed his eyes she was definitely her parent's  daughter she had Athena's Witt, Intelligent and beauty and her father's direct thought and bluntness that all Starks seemed to have. " Zoe I am sorry for what I said earlier it's just hard for me to accept that Peggy just used me, heck your mother and Bucky both tried to warn me about her... I just didn't want listen because I was..." said Steve paused. "In love with her" said Zoe softly and grimaced. Steve only nodded then looked at Zoe and just shrugged "Maybe now I am not so sure...now I look back every time she was round my brain would just fog over" he responded sadly. " Love or the thought of love can make people blind and not see people's red flags" said Zoe. Steve didn't say anything just only gave a slight nod, Zoe went to reach for his hand but the waitress returned with their drinks and their food so she pulled her hand back. "Here we go your food and drinks" as she placed them in front of each other. "Do you need anything else?" asked the waitress. "No I think we are good right Steve?" asked Zoe. " Yes, and thank you so much Miss. Linda" responded Steve giving her smile which made the waitress blush. "So he is handsome and polite don't see that to much anymore you better tie this one down baby girl" said Linda and gave Zoe a wink as she walked away. Zoe groaned as Steve laughed.

Zoe focused on her meal and started to mix the ketchup and mayonnaise together. "Zoe what in the world are you doing?" asked Steve giving her a weird look as she mixed the sauces. "I making fry sauce it's thing they dip their fries in out in Utah" replied Zoe dipping a fry in the now pink sauce and taking a bite. Steve looked confused "I thought you grew up in Massachusetts?" asked Steve. Zoe  sighed " I did but my adoptive Ma was originally from Utah and we would visit every summer so I picked it from there and then when I turned 14 my adoptive sister didn't want to go anymore but I did and to give us all break I would out there from the beginning of June till the end of August when school would start back up I would come back to Massachusetts"said Zoe. Steve "I take it you and your sister didn't get along then?" asked Steve. Zoe shook her head "No, not at all Nicole made it very clear that she didn't want me around so those two and half months where the best time of year for me, my grandparents were very loving and didn't remind me every day that I was adopted they just loved me and I got to spend it with my cousin Bree who was more like a sister me than Nicole ever was" said Zoe with a few tears rolling down her cheeks. Steve gave her small smile " I am sorry about your adoptive family Zoe" said Steve. Zoe took a deep breath and just nodded " It's all in the past and you can't change it  you only grow and hope to be better" said Zoe softly. Steve nodded and they were finishing up when Steve's phone rang saw it was Tony "Hello, yes we are just eating some lunch...he is okay we will head back soon bye" replied Steve. Zoe gave Steve a questioning look. "Thor is back and he thinks he knows where Bucky is" sighed Steve.
