Zoe paced up and down the length of the Quinjet Bucky just sat watching her. By the fourth time she had paced Bucky reached out and stopped her "Hey Doll take a seat cause pacing back and forth is just going to make your and mine anxiety even worst" he said tensely. Zoe looked down at him and saw the worry in his blue eyes and she sighed as she took the seat next him. "Bucky I just hate sitting by doing nothing I know that I can help" she cried, Bucky just nodded and wrapped his arm around pulling her close. Zoe couldn't but help but curl into his embrace he was just so calming she felt Bucky sigh and kiss the top of her head. Bucky closed his eyes and felt his heart calm to a steady pace for the first time all morning having Zoe in his arms just felt so right like that where she was suppose to be, he placed a kissed on the top her head and taking in her scent of Jasmine and vanilla and just a hint of cinnamon.

All of a sudden there was a loud bang outside and they jumped up Zoe raced to the window to see Clint shooting arrows at a winged creature that was terrifying and "Oh shit" she cried  as one of creature flew in front of the Quinjet it had the body of a bird but the head of a women it looked into Quinjet and saw Zoe and got a sinister grin on it's face and screeched so loudly that both Zoe and Bucky and to cover their ears. The creature flew off in the direction of a plane it the distance and she saw the other creatures following as well. "What in the hell was that" asked Bucky as he rubbed his ears, Zoe's whose ears were still ringing just looked at him terrified "I think those were Harpies" she almost whispered, Bucky's eyes widen in acknowledgement. There was a loud bang and it knock Zoe off balance but Bucky's quick reflex made him catch her. The Quinjet loading dock started to open and both turn to see a man walking up it with a grin on his face. Bucky pulled Zoe behind him and pulling a gun from his side. The man just laughed it was cold and unfeeling and sent chills down Zoe's spine, Zoe got a familiar feeling like she has seen him before but shook it away he was dress in a well cut deep blue suit and was wearing dark sunglasses and his dark hair was twisted in braids on the top his head. "Well, well little princess I have finally found you" hissed the man. Bucky pulled to where he was shielding his body with her behind him. The man just laughed "Oh isn't this sweet the princess and her soulmate soldier" hissed the man again. "What do you want from me? asked Zoe as she looked out from behind Bucky. The man just got huge grin on his face it was almost snake like "I want revenge" he yelled. Zoe narrowed her eyes "What the hell did I ever do to you and who are you?' asked Zoe. The man moved closer  and laughed "Oh princess I am Chrysaor and I want revenge for my mother" he yelled.

Zoe's eyes widen "Oh shit" she gasped Bucky just looked at her confused "Who is he Zoe?" asked Bucky. "He is one of the sons of Medusa and Poseidon" she replied looking straight at Chrysaor. Loud clapping made both turn back "You truly are your mother's daughter so brilliant" hissed Chrysoar. "What does that have to do with Athena?" asked Bucky, Zoe remained silent and Chrysoar just hissed out a laugh "Oh I am sure the little princess knows the stories.. please to tell" he snapped.  Zoe sighed "I am sure you know the story of Medusa right Bucky" asked Zoe quietly. Bucky gives a slight nodded "She's the monster who turn people to stone with at glance" replied Bucky. "Monster" hissed Chrysaor  Bucky looked over at him and back at Zoe with a questioning look. Zoe let out huge sigh "Medusa wasn't always a monster she was actually a handmaiden in Athena's temple she was suppose to be very beautiful so much so that she caught the eye of Poseidon and he tried to seduce her but she refused and he assaulted her on the steps of Athena's temple, which made Athena furious she punished Medusa by turning her into the Gorgan monster of the myths" said Zoe with a sad tone to her voice. "Strike one little princess but that's not the whole story right please continue" Chrysoar snapped. "My mother gave the shield to Perseus which was reflective he used it like a mirror causing her to turn to stone and Perseus beheaded her and gave Medusa's head to Athena who used it on her shield" said Zoe solemnly. Chrysoar smiled "Now that we know the reasons I am going to take the actions and finally get the revenge that my sister has failed so many times" he laughed.

Zoe looked at him in confusion "Your sister? in the legends you had a brother Pegasus the winged horse" said Zoe. Chrysoar just shook his head "No that was a cover my father used to protect my sister, my sister has been brilliant she finally captured Athena and held her for over 40 yrs tortured her and tormented her drain of her powers until she thought it would be a brilliant idea to bring your father and do the same to him but what my sister didn't plan was the greatest weapon known in the universe" he hissed looking Zoe with hatred. Zoe just shook her head "What is the greatest weapon?" asked Bucky cautiously. Chrysoar just looked at them both "Oh solider I think you know it's what you feel for the little princess here Love and the truest kind where you sacrifice anything for them even at your own expense" he replies with sinister laugh.

Zoe gasped  and looked at Bucky but he wouldn't meet her eyes, "Oh princess you have been sharing the your bed with the wrong solider and are a whore just like your mother" he hissed. Bucky snapped up at this and ran firing off his gun at Chrysoar who just laughed and held his arms open taking the shots acting like it was just a tickle. "Stupid mortal that will do nothing your mortal weapons have no effect on me, you would need something like this" he responded and in flash there was a golden sword in his hand. "Now for the real reason I am here I am going to get the revenge I and my sister have craved for thousands of years I am going to kill Athena's greatest creation,  her weakness, her greatest love her daughter Zoe, then she will know what its like to lose something she loves" he laughed. Bucky stood in front of Zoe "Over my dead body" yelled Bucky Chrysoar just grinned "Solider that won't be necessary because you will be my weapon" he snapped. Zoe brain was racing at his word then like lightening a thought stuck her brain and her anger started to build. "Who is your sister?" she asked angrily. Chrysoar looked at her with a knowing look "Oh I think you know..." he laughed in response. The rain started to come down hard around the Quinjet and lightening flashed followed by thunder. Chrysoar looked around just smiled even wider "WHO?" yelled Zoe and she started to glow purple "Think Zoe who would gain the most at capture of your mother and who knew of where you and father would be along that country road and who had access to the Winter Solider to send him to you that night" he laughed. Bucky started breathing heavily as memories flooded his mind and it hit Zoe as well a female voice saying the dreaded words "Longing, Rusted, Furnace... kill Howard and Maria Stark and bring me the girl... the voice finally had a face a women that both Bucky and Zoe knew.  The flashed ended and Zoe screamed "Peggy Carter".

Chrysoar laughed so "Oh this makes me so happy now I am going to get this right and make you suffer Longing, Rusted, Furnace, Daybreak" said Chrysoar. Zoe could see Bucky fighting it with all his might that he was in tears "Run Angel please run I don't want to hurt you" screamed Bucky. Zoe's anger was at an all new level she was shining brightly and all of the pain and loneliness that she felt in her life came to a head. She struck out her hand sending a lightening blast to Chrysoar  which knocked him off his feet. He laid there not moving Zoe ran to Bucky trying help him up but she looked to eyes and saw a blankness there none of the warmth she had known. "Bucky please stay with please fight it" she cried. Chrysoar stood over her with sword in hand ready to swing but a loud screech filled the air making him pause and then next thing Zoe knew the sword dropped in front of her. Another screech sounded  over her and Zoe looked up to see the owl from her dream. Zoe grabbed the sword and the owl flew over her in flash Zoe was covered in battle armor it was flexible and strong and lightweight. Zoe swing the sword with expertise like she was born to do this. Zoe smiled as she looked at the shocked face of Chrysoar "How is this possible you are no warrior" he screamed. Zoe laughed had the sword at his throat " It's in my blood my mother is the Goddess of strategic war and one of the best warriors ever seen" she snapped. Chrysoar scream "No, no" and Zoe took the sword and ran it threw his gut. Chrysoar let out a gutting sound and fell to the ground. Zoe turn to around to see Bucky in the corner trying to fight the control. "Bucky" she called refused to look at her "Bucky please look at me" cried Zoe. Zoe heard a hiss from behind her and she rolled her eyes was about to turn when a voice screamed Stop Zoe don't turn Chrysoar is like his mother. Zoe looked around saw a shield Tony had made to withstand and reflected laser blasts. Zoe wasn't close but Bucky was "Bucky please I need your help" she yelled. Bucky head snapped up at her plea and looked at her she nodded towards the shield. Zoe stood up but keep her back turn against Chrysoar. "Oh Princess you are going to pay for that" he hiss. Trust your instants and your heart said the voice of Athena. Zoe closed her eyes and took a deep breath and began to move swinging the sword and hitting Chrysoar but it seam no matter how many time she hit he would just stay standing and laughing. Getting frustrated she started to falter. Chrysoar laughed grabbed her by the throat "Open your pretty little eyes princess" he hiss. Zoe felt something tickle her face and hiss at her ears. Zoe wanted to scream at feeling of something crawling a crossed her skin. "So beautiful, I wonder.." Chrysoar whispered in her ear. Then Zoe almost gagged when he pressed a kiss to her lips.

"I could take you" he laughed Zoe gave him a quick kick in the gut and sent him flying back. Chrysoar rolled out the Quinjet into the rain. His face was was cover in mud Zoe ran out with sword in hand and seeing him try and get the mud out his eyes made her smile. "Princess you are going to lose the ones you love look around you the Avengers are failing and it's all because of you" he hissed. Zoe looked around and saw Nat and Clint being held down by harpies and Steve and Thor surrounded by snake like creatures. No no I can't lose them too Zoe raised the sword the lightening struck it filling her body with power and she move quickly striking the Harpies it a few quick swipes of her sword they fell to the ground. And Clint and Nat look at her and then Harpies eyes widen.

Zoe moved toward Steve and Thor she raised her hands out sending purple lightening striking the creatures and send a power boost to Thor who moved with new energy.  "Little Bolt" he screamed excitedly as he looked around at all the dead creatures. Zoe was about to say something when she was cut off by a loud scream "Thor close your eyes and tell the others he's the son of Medusa" said Zoe quickly before gripping her sword tighter.

"Why won't you just die" Chrysoar screamed Zoe just smiled "Oh are you failing like that pathetic sister of yours and once I kill you I make sure that she suffer just like my mother and father did at her hands" she laughed as he screamed again. Zoe heard Bucky call out her name she turn and open her eyes to see him throw her the shield she ran and caught it. Holding the shield up over her face she watched as Chrysoar came running towards her hissing at her. Zoe raise her sword one last time pulling the lightening to her engulfing her body with power. Zoe also pressed a button that change the shield in a reflective mode causes Chrysoar to freeze and swing around him bringing the sword down beheading him. One last hiss came from him and then it turned completely to stone. She raised her hand sending out lightening blasting the head into smithereens.

Tired but happy Zoe took a few deep breathes, the other gathered around her slowly. "Zoe is that you" asked deep voice, Zoe turn to Steve stare at her in shock. Zoe ran to him and wrapped her arms around him. He just gripped her tightly. "What the hell was that Stark you went all Amazon warrior?" asked Clint. Thor step forward "She is in her true form" responded Thor pulling her away from Steve and hugged her tightly. Zoe winced as he hugged her and she cried out in pain. Zoe looked down to see a black and red on her side. "I don't feel so well" she said before collapsing Bucky raced forward and caught her.

"What the hell" yelled Steve trying to reached for her but Bucky caught her and was racing towards the Quinjet. The others followed all yelling and not sure what was happening. When they got to the Quinjet Nat saw a women in a long blue grecian style dress waiting for them "Who in the hell are you?" she asked raising her gun. The women ignored her "Zoe oh my sweet girl" said the women passing Nat with ease. Bucky stop in his tracks "Thea?" he asks in a surprise tone the women grabs Zoe from Bucky and lays her down on one of benches. "Bucky who is that?" asks Clint with his bow raise. "That's Zoe's mother Athena" response Bucky then moves towards the mother and daughter. "Thea what's wrong with her" pleas Bucky. Athena ignores the question and examines the wound. "Someone go check Chrysoar hands and see he have anything in them" she yells.

Everyone is hesitant but Athena's eye begin to glow purple "Thor go check now but be careful" says Athena her voice booming, making the Quinjet shaking. Everyone was quiet as Athena removed Zoe's armor and few seconds later Thor return with small blade in hand wrapped in his cloak. Athena carefully a few seconds screamed and threw the blade, Steve moved close "What is Thea what is that blade? Is Zoe going to be okay?" he asks. Athena close her eyes "I have to get Zoe to Asgard that blade was made with the bones of Kronos" she response with tears in her eyes. Thor eyes widen "No, no I though all of them were destroyed" he yells. "What is Kronos?" asks Steve. "He was my grandfather and his bones are poisonous to all of his descendants" she said quietly. "How do we help her please tell me there a cure?" Steve pleas.

Athena nods "Yes Zoe has to become a full god by eating ambrosia" she replied. Thor kicked a suitcase and stormed off Quinjet "What's his problem?" asked Clint looking over the panels. "Only my father and his wife can give permission who isn't a full god who can have ambrosia" said Athena solemnly.
