Two days later Zoe watched as the others were leaving for the mission. Zoe would be going to the city with Pepper to stay at the Tower. To Shield this would the Avengers stopping an black market arms dealers with the help of Fury. She was talking to Thor when Steve came up to them "Hey Thor do you mind if I steal Zoe for a moment?" he asked. Zoe's eyes widen and Thor smirked "Of course see you on the Jet" replied Thor to Steve. Then he turned to Zoe "I will see you when this mission is over stay safe Little Bolt" said Thor to Zoe with a small smile as he gave her a small hug before turning to walk out. Zoe return the hug. "I will try my best Thor but you stay safe as well okay Big Thunder" replied Zoe waving at Thor who nodded and walked away.

Steve watched the exchanged and wished he could talk to Zoe as easily as she did  Thor. Zoe walked up to him "So Rogers what can I help you with?" asked Zoe with serious tone to her voice. "I just wanted to thank you for making this mission possible and I am grateful that you is all" said Steve. Zoe nodded "Of course Steve I couldn't let Bucky suffer any longer knowing what I know I can't wait to meet him" replied Zoe. Steve smiled "Oh his going to like you for certain him and your mom were quite close friends back in the 40's" he replied. Zoe smiled "Bucky was always a ladies man right?" asked Zoe. Steve sighed and shook his head "Yes, but I think Bucky and Thea were more of best friends or brother and sister kinda of thing they both certainly liked messing around playing practical jokes on me and the other Howling Commandos" said Steve shaking his head.
"Oh I would love to hear all about those stories" said Zoe gleefully. "Definitely, maybe they can help bring some of Bucky's memories back" replied Steve. Zoe only nodded and was about respond when Tony came up in his full Iron Man suit with the helmet opened " Are you coming Capiscle?" asked Tony looking at the both. Steve rolled his eyes and nodded "Yes Tony I was just thanking Zoe here for making all this possible" said Steve. Tony nodded  "Well if you're done I would like a word with my sister so you can do your little strut and my sister can admire that spangles suit as you walk away" said Tony sarcastically. Steve just raised an eyebrow and coughed "Bye Zoe" and quickly walked away.

Zoe glared at Tony "Seriously brother you're lucky that you have a tin suit to protect you cause I really want to zap you right now" said Zoe creating a ball of lightning in her hand and it holding up. Tony's eyes widen and he held up both his hands in defense. "Hold on now little sis I was only teasing no need to get your panties all sparky" said Tony tensely. Zoe smiled as she looked at the spark ball in her hand "Okay I will zap this out but stop with the jokes about me and Steve nothing is ever going to happen between us and I don't need him to think that I like him" said Zoe snuffing out the ball and frowning. Tony walked closer to her "But you do Zoe and..." Tony began but saw sparks from Zoe's fingers. "Okay okay I will drop it" he said cautiously. "Good, now what can I help you with dear Bubba?" asked Zoe sweetly. Tony "Just stay safe if you need to go out call Rhodes or Happy to take you alright Zoe" said Tony firmly. Zoe rolled her eyes "Zoe please I don't know how long I will be gone I have to know that your safe at the tower" said Tony. Zoe sighed "Okay Tony I won't go out alone and it will be good to get know my future sister-in-law" replied Zoe without really thinking. Tony smirked "Your future what?" asked Tony. Zoe's eyes widen and she covered her mouth "Ummm nothing" she said in trembling tone. Tony got a huge smug look on his face "Me and Pepper huh?" he questioned. Zoe just shook her head "Goodbye Tony safe on the mission" Zoe yelled in response. Tony waved " I will give my future wife a kiss for me and I will watch your future husband precious backside" said Tony and before Zoe could do anything he shut the helmet and flew off. He is such an ass sometimes thought Zoe as she watched her brother and the Quinjet fly off.

Three days later Zoe was sitting in main sitting room of the tower watching TV when JARVIS called out "Miss. Stark there is an Alexander Pierce and a Agent Sharon Carter and Agent Brock Rumlow here to see the Avengers" said JARVIS in a Britain accent. Zoe's stood up quickly "Please inform Rhodes, Happy, and Miss Potts please and let them in please JARVIS" replied Zoe uneasily. "Of course Miss. Stark and I am also informing Mr. Stark as well" replied the AI. "Thank-you JARVIS and please call me Zoe from now on" said Zoe. "Of Course if that is what you wish Miss" responded JARVIS.

Zoe moved to where the elevators opened to greet her guests. Happy walked into the room "Miss Zoe, JARVIS just informed me of our guests and that you asked for me" said Happy as he walked over to her. "Yes Happy it seems we will have some very unwanted guests here soon so I thought my brother would rather not have me meet them alone" said Zoe tensely. Happy frowned and stood next to Zoe "Yes wise choice Miss" he replied. Just then the elevator door opened and there stood the last three people Zoe had hope to never see but that was not the reality she was living. She step forward with Happy following close behind "Secretary Pierce and Agent Rumlow and Agent Carter what an unexpected surprise to see you here how may I help you today?" asked Zoe with as much confidence she could muster. Pierce looked at Zoe head to toe "Ah you must be the lovely Miss Zoe Stark who has suddenly been returned to her family after being gone for so long, Your beauty is beyond what I have heard described" said Pierce practically leering at her. Sharon scoffed and Zoe rolled her eyes quickly. "Thank you Secretary Pierce those you flatter me but they surely are exaggerating" replied Zoe firmly. "You can say that again" snapped Carter.

Pierce snapped his head towards Sharon "Agent Carter do you have something to share with the group?"snapped Pierce. Sharon pulled a annoyed look "No sir" she mumbled narrowing her eyes at Zoe. Pierce gave Sharon a curt nod before turning back to Zoe. "So Miss Stark are adjusting well being back with your brother?" he asked. "Yes, Sir it nice being back with my brother it was hard to believe at first but we are slowly getting to know each other" said Zoe simply. Pierce gave a nod at her answer "How is living with the Avengers?" he asked. Zoe looked Pierce with an raised eyebrow and "I have made many friends here and learned a lot from Agent Romanoff and Thor and Captain Rogers." replied Zoe. Sharon pulled a face at the mention of Steve which made Zoe smirk.

Pierce tilted his head "Oh what have you learned from the Avengers?" asked Pierce. Before Zoe could respond Happy interrupted "Sir what's with all the questions I am sure you read the report that SHIELD provided about Miss. Stark and the events that lead to her returning" said Happy. Rumlow began to move closer to Zoe which made Zoe take a few steps back and closer to Happy. Pierce just shrugged "I'm just curious to meet the lovely young women who has miraculously returned after so long been missing and the supposed marvelous things she can do" replied Pierce. Zoe took a deep breath at this statement "Miss Stark would you care to enlighten me at the things you can do since you do have quite a prestige heritage I mean with Howard Stark for a Father and your mother well that is something completely unique" said Pierce. Zoe eyes widen "Miss Stark I am well informed on who your mother is especially since I was part of the rescue team that found your parents and yourself almost 22 years ago" replied Pierce. Zoe moved to say something "I mean to find a actual goddess but just not any goddess but Athena the Goddess of Wisdom herself was quite shocking, despite the state that she was in power just radiated from her and of course there was you such a beautiful baby and you had a light about that pulled people in, not that your parents let any us of near you" said Pierce with an small darkened tone. Zoe shivered at his voice. "Your Father let no one near Athena or you especially with his new found strength only a tall man in gold armor then you and mother just disappeared in a ray of golden light" said Pierce bitterly but quickly recovered with a small smile. Zoe turn her looking straight into his eyes. "Pierce what do you mean my father had new strength?" asked Zoe nervously. " Oh your brother didn't tell you?, I thought for sure he would, the people who had your parents did experiments on them and turn your father into another Super Soldier like Captain Rogers" said Pierce.

Zoe closed her eyes trying not to think of her parents pain at the hands of Hydra and most likely this man in front of her. Tears began to fall and rain hit the tower windows. Zoe began to feel anger began to build when the voice from weeks before "Zoe please calm down this is what he wants to have you show your powers so he can find an excuse to take you in don't let him win"said the voice. Happy pulled Zoe in for a hug as she cried. "I think we are done here" said Happy. Zoe stepped back from Happy to look at Pierce was looking disappointed " Sorry, that news upset me know that my parents suffered" said Zoe brushing the tears from her face. Rumlow who had moved to the window to watch the rainfall "I didn't know it was supposed to rain today it was supposed clear and sunny" said Rumlow turning around and looking straight at Zoe. Zoe eyed Rumlow wearily, she went to say something but then a ding from the elevator interrupted her trail of thought. Out walked Pepper Potts and James Rhodes Zoe could tell that neither were very happy to their guests. " Secretary Pierce and Agents of SHIELD what an unexpected surprise to see you today we were not informed of this visit and the the Avengers are not here so what brings you here today?" asked Pepper firmly.
Pierce frowned "We were in the neighborhood and Agent Carter mentioned seeing Miss. Stark  here at the tower a few days ago and I haven't got the chance to meet her so I thought I stop on by." replied Pierce.

Rhodes stepped forward "Well Secretary Pierce you know there are protocols that need to be meet before meetings with the Avengers and SHIELD" said Rhodes. Pierce tilted his head "Oh is Miss Stark an Avenger now?" he asked with a grin that sent chills down Zoe's spine. "No I am not I just live with my brother and the Avengers" responded Zoe. Pepper step forward "As Rhodes stated before there protocols that need to be followed regardless so I think we are done here, you can set up a meeting in the future and in all regards to Miss. Stark is in her files that Mr. Stark and Mr. Banner sent to the SHIELD offices weeks ago if there are any changes they will be sent forward." said Pepper with a firm tone.

Pierce gave a annoyed look at Pepper and the straighten his tie. "Well guess we will be on our way then, Miss Stark it was loving meeting you and hope we can see each other in the future" said Pierce practically leering at Zoe. Zoe nodded "Have a good day Secretary Pierce" responded Zoe. Pierce and Rumlow turn to leave but Sharon stayed "Miss. Stark would you please tell Steve I saw my Aunt and she said she would love to see him again since they meant so much to each other" sneered Sharon. Zoe narrowed her eyes but nodded  "Of course" replied Zoe coolly. Sharon smirked "Have a wonderful day Miss. Stark. Zoe gave a small smile back "You as well Agent Carter" said Zoe trying to keep a neutral face.  Sharon joined the other on the elevator which quickly closed behind her.

Zoe let out a huge sigh but turned to Pepper and Rhodes "Do we know when my brother or the other Avengers are coming back?" asked Zoe. Rhodes nodded "Tony and Banner are headed back and will be here in few hours the others have a few more things to take care of" said Rhodes. "Well good cause I just found out that Pierce was there when they rescued my parents" said Zoe giving them a knowing look. "He also said my father was a super soldier as well did any of you know this?" asked Zoe. Both Pepper and Rhodes looked at each other and then sadly at Zoe and nodded. "Why did no know one tell me?" cried Zoe. Rhodes step forward "Well it was a shocked to Tony as well your father never said anything to many bad memories I guess, Tony only found out himself when he saw your blood work showing similarities between you and Rogers" replied Rhodes. Zoe put a hand on her forehead. "Fury came to him with files from the report on the rescue and it showed what happened to your father and your brother just felt he didn't want to burden you will that" finished Rhodes. Zoe took a deep breath "God, I really am a freak half god and half super soldier it would have so much better if I had never been born" said Zoe angrily. Pepper walked to Zoe and put her arm around her "Zoe you are not a freak from what I have seen you are intelligent and beautiful women who was born with things beyond her control, Zoe I know it's confusing right now but you will find your place in this world" said Pepper pulling her in for a hug. Zoe shook her head "My parents suffered so much because of me" said Zoe.

Pepper just rubbed Zoe's back "From what your brother told me that yes they suffered but having you was such a blessing despite the darkness that your father was so proud of you and loved having you that he would do it all over again just to have you in his life" said Pepper. Rhodes walked to them "Zoe you had Howard Stark's heart he loved you so much don't forget that okay and I know that Tony does to so please don't be to mad him from keeping this from you he only wanted to save you from some heartbreak" said Rhodes. Zoe pulled from Pepper and looked at everyone in the room "Okay but I still want to give him a piece of my mind when he does return" said Zoe. Rhodes smiled "Oh I bet you will" he replied.
