More Than Answers There
This poem is loosely based on Gravity Falls' forest in the TV show. It is the poem I had to do for an assessment at school, but to be honest, I quite like it!!
The soft breeze echoes over misty trees,
The rustling branches whisper secrets to the wind,
Yet buries among the roots are dangers,
You'll find a lot more than answers there.
Shooting stars glide across the sky,
Falling so gently in amongst the pines,
The scene so peaceful, so serene,
Yet something is stirring, the likes of it yet to be seen.
The sky is pitch, blacker than the darkest oil,
Smatters of stars dot the canvas of the night,
The blackness breaks, the slightest flicker of blue flame,
Then all is peaceful again.
Suddenly something tears the fabric that is the sky,
A stunning comet, falling fast and free,
It drops and buries itself in the soft dirt,
Bright blue fire flits across the surface and fades.
Nothing stirred as the star fell from the sky,
The world still slumbered in its peaceful sleep,
But something crawled from the crater the comet left,
And disappeared into the dark hole that is the woods.
So remember, if you venture and find the comet here,
Be warned, you'll find more than answers there.
