Explosions racked the space station making the people inside stumble. Ligh grunted as he slammed into a wall. He held on to Treble and Arium fell to the ground. Keyshot managed to steady himself and helped the medic up. The old alien winced and clutched his chest.

"Arium?" Treble asked with fear in her voice as she helped steady him.

"Are you alright?" Ligh asked with concern. He nodded slowly and grunted in pain.

"I'm just old..." he rasped and winced as he stood up straighter. They hesitated then continued forward.

Ligh stopped and peaked around the corner as the others pressed against the wall. His ears went down as he watched the Galra and the robots fight. He didn't agree with what his people were doing, but couldn't bear to watch them die. He looked away as he heard their cries of pain and suffering.

There was suddenly an explosion and he grunted as he and Keyshot shielded the others. He held on to them as the ship shook for a moment. He listened as more Galra ran in and took down the robots. He knew they would get caught. He grabbed Trebles hand and took off again. She held on to Arium, afraid to let go. Keyshot grabbed a gun someone dropped and followed.

They dodged the fight as much as they could and got to the escape pods. But they were all gone or destroyed. Ligh glared darkly and went to a damaged one. He typed frantically as he tried to get it to work.

Treble stared blankly at one of the dead crew members. Her breathing quickened as her eyes widened. The man's blood was leaving his body and his eyes were wide with fear. She started to hyperventilate as she looked at the others that were dead. The realization of what was going on hit her full force. Arium ran over and hugged her tightly.

"Look away child." He rumbled as he buried her face in his chest. "You do not need to see this destruction." He said seriously. She didn't argue and just held on to him tightly. Ligh growled in frustration as he kicked the escape pod.

"Come on!" He yelled angrily as his ears laid flat against his head. He growled angrily and continued to kick it. The pod didn't move and he realized it was jammed.

He panted heavily and fell to his knees as he hung his head. They were trapped. The pods were all damaged and they were at the mercy of the Galra. He squeezed his eyes shut knowing they were lost.

Keyshot watched them quietly then looked at the pod. He stepped back then rammed into it. Ligh jumped and moved away as the robot rammed into it again. The escape pod shifted and landed on the track. He hummed with pride and forced the door open. He stepped back and looked at the others. Ligh smiled brightly and got up then looked inside.

A few crew members ran over and shoved him aside. They ran in and took off in the escape pod. They stared in disbelief then looked to the hallway. The Galra were coming. Ligh sighed forcefully and walked over to the medic. He stared at him blankly for a few minutes as he realized what he had to do.

"Keyshot..." he mumbled and stared at the floor. "What is your mission?" He asked and clenched his fists tightly. The robot seemed confused then looked at him.

::Protect Treble under any circumstances.:: he said seriously. ::To protect Arium and Ligh when possible.:: he said as the young Galra nodded slowly.

"Correct... never forget what you were told to do." He said seriously and finally looked at him. He stared at Arium and set a hand on his shoulder.

"Thank you for saving me." He rasped and hugged him tightly. The old alien blinked in surprise and hesitantly hugged him back. Ligh let go then stepped back before gripping Trebles shoulders.

"Hey... listen to me." He mumbled and she looked at him. He sighed shakily and rested his forehead against hers as he closed his eyes. "Always remember one thing... remember that I love you." He whispered quietly and gently kissed her forehead. Treble watched him and couldn't help but whimper. She hugged him tightly and buried her face in him.

"Why do I feel like this is goodbye?" She asked quietly. He didn't respond and hugged her tighter. He sighed shakily and let go then stepped back.

"Ligh?" She asked wanting him to answer her question. Tears filled her eyes as he stared at her and continued to step back.

"I'll buy you time." He said as he looked at the medic.

"No." Treble said as she watched him knowing he may never come back.

"Get somewhere safe and hide until they leave." He mumbled then turned and ran off.

"Father!" She screamed and reached for him as the other two pulled her away. Ligh didn't look back and blinked back tears. He had to give them time and make sure they got away.

Ligh turned the corner and saw Autho struggling to fight some Galra soldiers. The captain looked at him and narrowed his eyes. The young Galra stared at all the other crew members as they died. One of the Galra soldiers looked at him and seemed confused. They didn't seem to know what side he was on.

"Help us dang it! I'm your captain!" Autho yelled angrily. Ligh glared darkly and wanted to say 'no'. This alien had killed them all. But that wasn't who he was. He growled lowly and picked up a gun then started firing as he clenched his jaw tightly. He continued to fire as he walked and stood by the captain.

After a few minutes the hall fell silent as the last of the Galra soldiers crumbled to the ground. Autho smirked cockily and looked at the others.

"Alright men let's take this station back." He said seriously and Ligh looked at him with disbelief as the others cheered. Was he serious?

He narrowed his eyes and punched Autho hard in the face. Everyone stopped and stared in shock. Ligh grabbed the alien and shoved him against the wall.

"If Arium or Treble die because of this... I'll personally kill you." He seethed angrily through gritted teeth. Autho blinked in surprise then growled lowly.

"If you think-" He was cut off as they heard yelling. The crew ran down the hall as they fired madly.

"Get out of my sight filthy Galra." Autho spat and shoved him away. Ligh glared darkly and looked to the fighting. He had to get them out of there.

He ignored his captain and ran off to find the others. He dodged the fighting and swerved corners, but didn't know where to even go. He pressed himself against the wall as he panted quietly. He scanned the area then peaked around the corner. He tried to focus as he headed down the hall.

A shot ran out and he cried out in pain. He fell to the ground and gripped his leg. He yelled angrily through gritted teeth and looked towards the shooter. A Galra captain. He glared darkly as he approached the injured pirate.

"Traitor." He seethed and gripped Lighs neck then shoved him against the wall. "You're a disgrace to the empire and Zarkons cause." He growled angrily.

"Zarkon is not my emperor." Ligh said with defiance. "Nor will he ever be." He spat and kicked the alien hard. The Galra grunted and shoved him to the ground then aimed his gun at him.

"We'll see what you think after some time in a prison camp." He growled lowly. Ligh narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists tightly.

Arium led the girl through the station as he ignored the pain he felt inside. He didn't know where the safest place would be, but he had an idea. He quickly went to a section that had already been destroyed. He gripped his chest and fell to his knees as he squeezed his eyes shut.

"Arium?" Treble asked as she knelt by his side. She did her best to ignore the dead around them. Keyshot looked around then started tearing at the wall. He moved some paneling aside then looked at them.

::Inside.:: he said quietly and helped the two into the hole. Once inside he put the pieces back and started to seal it shut.

"Wait Keyshot, what about you?" Treble asked as she tried to reach for him. He stopped suddenly and looked at her.

::I must protect.:: he said quietly and finished then took off. She felt claustrophobic and started to hyperventilate again. They could hear people screaming and yelling in pain. Arium hugged her tightly and buried her face in his chest.

"Cover your ears child. The nightmare will be over soon." He rumbled and held her protectively. Treble let her tears fall as she tried to block out the noises. She would be haunted by this night for a long time.
