Lucy always waited for the time she will reunite with her lover. She waited for her to be held in his arms again, for her to hug him, for her to kiss him. But she knows that she has to wait. After all, Midnight of the Oracion Seis was still in prison, waiting until he can go back to society. Even he is waiting for the day he can go back to her and continue their love. Both of them wanted to see each other soon.

But they weren't expecting this kind of reunion.

Lucy was in deep thoughts, sitting in Blue Pegasus. So many question were running through her mind now. 'I don't understand... I'm sure he has changed... Why would he go back to do this kind of stuff? Didn't he thought about our love in prison? That should've been a reminder to not go and do these kinds of things.'

"Lu-chan? Are you alright? Is it about the whole Reborn Oracion Seis thing?" Levy asked as she sat down next to her. None of Fairy Tail other than, Team Natsu knew about her relationship with the narcoleptic mage. "Lucy.. I think you should tell them." Erza said nodding her head to her. "Tell us what?" Lisanna asked.

Lucy nodded her head and said, "Only my team knows about this. But 7 years ago when we fought them at Nirvana, Midnight, now the leader of the Reborn Oracion Seis, and myself both fell in love with each other. We became boyfriend and girlfriend after that." 

"WHAT?!!!!" Everyone (Except Team Natsu) shouted at the same time. So many questions were raided on Lucy and she didn't know what to do. "Everyone be quiet!" Erza shouted as she shut everyone up. "I know it's hard to believe, but they really do love each other. He even saved her twice from Master Zero. Even almost died because of it. I accept this relationship and everyone should. Is there any objections? " everyone nodded their head no.

"Does that mean Love-Rival is not Juvia's love rival anymore?"Juvia asked, happiness in her eyes. Lucy sweatdropped at this. "I was never your love rival in the first place." Juvia then hugged Lucy. "Juvia is happy that Lucy-san is Juvia's friend again!" Lucy smiled and hugged her back. "Lucy~" A voice from behind her cooed and she swore that she felt a chill run up her spine.

She turned around and saw the she-demon matchmaker Mirajane looking at her and she was sure there were hearts starting to go around her head. "You could've told me you were gonna make me an aunt! You've talked about having kids with him right? You can't continue the love unless you get married and give me blonde haired with red eyes kids." Lucy blushed so badly that steam may have started to come out from her head. "K-Kids?!" She exclaimed while hiding her face behind her hands.

"So what?" Gajeel asked out of the blue. Lucy looked up and saw how his eyes were serious. "He's your boyfriend. But that didn't stop him to do what he's doing now. If he's your boyfriend, why is he doing this to you? You think he's still the same before he met you?" Lucy shook her head no and said, "No way! He's changed I'm sure of it! I believe that he's the person I fell in love with." Gajeel just shrugged it off.

'Something definitely happened to him while I was gone for 7 years. There has to be a reasonable explanation for this.'

The creepy-looking flying fish called Real Nightmare is now released. The chains linked to it is connecting to the ground below it. The whole sky looks threatening with the murderous color red and venomous purple. Every citizen scared at what's about to happen next.

Right now, an unconscious Lucy Heartfilia is in the arms of her so called 'sister' who turned into a traitor with Klodoa by her side and Byro holding an also unconscious Natsu Dragneel, having them as prisoners. As they made it to their destination, the Legion Tribe member went to put Natsu into his cell, while the other two take care of the blonde Celestial Mage.

As they walked into the enormous room that controls the whole magic, they find their leader there, waiting for them. Once the Reflector's Mage saw the unconscious body, he sighed and nodded his head to the two. "Very good job. Both of you. Let us place the Celestial Wizard on the big Orb." He said as he walked up the stairs with the others following.

The moment Lucy was attached to the big Orb, Imitatia said, "Nee-san told Fairy Tail that you two are in a relationship. Why didn't you tell me this?" Midnight sighed and said, "If I told you when we first met, you would've bothered me with so many questions. I didn't want a headache back then. I would've lost my focus."

"I'm sure our Brain II has gotten over the Celestial Mage. He finally come back to his senses and went back to be the person Master Zero always wanted him to be. Cold, emotionless and ruthless! Even to his past lover!" Klodoa said. Midnight just stared at him and switched his gaze to Lucy.

"I would like to have a moment with her alone. I want to talk to her privately. If you don't mind.." Imitatia eyed him suspiciously but simply understood him and left the room taking the staff with her. The time she has left the room, Lucy started to slowly open her eyes.

She blinked her eyes a few times to adjust the brightness of the room. She tried moving her arms and feet but they were stuck in place. She struggled in getting off of whatever is attached to her but it won't let her go. Giving up on her effort, she looked at the person in front of her and gasped.

There he was. Him standing in front of her with emotionless eyes staring at her. "Midnight..." He didn't responded to her. He only averted his gaze away from her, to avoid eye contact. "Midnight! What the hell is going on?!! Why is Michelle part of the Oracion Seis?!!! What is this thing?!! What happened to the one I fell in love with!!?? He wouldn't use his love one to use this kind of magic!!!!" All of these questions were full of confusion but mostly hurt. The last one she asked hurt him in the heart. "I thought you've changed!!!"

"I have changed... I've changed into a much stronger person... I'm not the same person who you met before..." Midnight said as he gripped his coat tightly. "Are you telling me that the time you've confessed to me is now nothing to you?! All the words you said doesn't mean anything to you anymore?!! The time you almost killed yourself to save me twice was a waste of your time?!!" Lucy shouted as hot tears rushed down her cheeks from her eyes.

"Believe me or not but I treasured all of those moments so much!! I was still thinking about them while I was in prison!! That's the only thing that reminded me of you!! I'm still in love with you! Even until now!!" Lucy was shocked at his words. If he still loves her, why is he still using her?

"Did Michelle knew about this when you first saw her?" Lucy asked. Midnight shook his head. "I didn't tell her then. No one knows about this but Cobra. He's the closest friend I have in the Oracion Seis. I trust him not to tell anyone. But now that Imitatia knows, I'm not sure if she'll tell my team about this. Klodoa thinks I've given up on you, but I still love you." 

"If you love me, why are you using me?" This was the primary question that she has for him. She wants a clear answer for it. Midnight look straight in her eyes and said, "I've told you how I was in the Tower of Heaven making the R-System for Zeref. How I was practically their slave and prisoner. Being in prison as a criminal has reminded of all those revolting memories that I wish I could erase. But thinking of you was the only thing that could make me smile and still be sane. But then..." 

Lucy saw how he started to grip his coat tightly and him gritting his teeth hard. "All of those guards are sickening! Insulting me in my face for being a low-life scum... Laughing how miserable I was... Beating me to a pulp just for their own amusement! The worst part is that they somehow found out about our relationship. They keep on telling me that you felt pity on me and gave me a chance. Or playing with my feelings so you can persuade me to go to prison. Or even that you were scared of me and just went with what I said so I won't kill you..."

"But you know it's not like that! I truly love you and I still do! Don't tell me you actually believed them!"

"Of course I didn't!!" He shouted so suddenly making Lucy flinched. "I know you're not like that. It's so obvious in your eyes. They can never lie. But soon, I got a news from a guard. It's something that I don't ever want to hear. Members of Fairy Tail were killed on Tenrou Island by Acnologia. I had little hope when I was waiting to hear who were on that island. But they were shattered when he said Lucy Heartfilia was one of them. That's when I started to have deep thoughts about this world. How it loves seeing me suffer mentally, physically and emotionally. For a second I thought it started to have a change of heart when I fell in love with you. But it betrayed my trust and decided to kill you off. I then made my decision to make the world suffer for my own sufferings."

"But you don't have to do this anymore! I'm here aren't I? I'm alive and well. The world is giving you another chance for you to turn the other cheek. You don't have to continue this anymore. You can do this for me. So we can continue where we last left off leaving all of this behind us. We can move on from our pasts and look ahead for the future. So we can be happy together! Maybe even start a family! Only if you just give the world a chance..." Lucy said with sad eyes.

"A family? This world stole my real family away from me. For all I know, they are dead and gone. If I start a family with you, it will take them away from me again. This world rejects me. So I'll reject them back. And that'll happen if I sacrifice what's most important to me. And unfortunately, that's you. It's better to do sacrifice than loosing it and regret it for the rest of your life. If I don't do it, I might really lose you without a doubt... And I'll be in so much regret..."

"I'm not going anywhere, Midnight. I'll stay by your side. No matter what happens." Midnight turned around and started to walk away. "You weren't by my side back when I was mourning just when I thought you were dead." He continued walking away, ignoring the Celestial Mage calling his name over and over again. Tears falling from her eyes as she cried out for him. Midnight felt so uneasy and wanted to turn around and remove her from the orb and hug her while kissing her softly. But he didn't and that hurt him even more. A tear rolled down his cheek before he wipes it away.

If I were to save you from my own wrong actions, the world would reject my actions and punish me. It would've taken you away from me.

Lucy watched as her lover and her best friend were fighting each other as she started to sink into the orb even further. She watches as Happy and Coco are trying their best to get her out, but can never succeed.

Midnight kept on dodging Natsu's attack and went on offense from time to time. Him acting all evil was kinda out of character of him. He wouldn't do that if it meant that Lucy will cry. But he's doing it to mask how he really feels inside. In front of these people anyway...

"Do you think that this would solve all of your damn problems?!" Natsu asked him as he stopped punching hime. "Did you not wanted to be with Lucy?! I saw how you acted back at Nirvana. You were clearly in love with her. She even returned your feelings! But this is how you answer her!! By sacrificing her to a damn clock!!" Natsu started to punch him again and again. Every time Midnight dodged, he started think again about what he was doing.

"You don't get it! The whole world clearly despise me! It likes seeing my suffering and takes away what I hold dear! If I continued to love her, she will be taken away from me..." Natsu then punched him in the face. "Are you stupid or something?!! You're keeping her alive by using her?!! By sacrificing her?!!! Are you crazy!!!??Why don't you just protect her if you're so scared of life taking her away!!!!" 

As the fight went on, Midnight decided to make his final move. "Protecting her? How would I even know that I can protect her? The day I thought I lost her was the day I lost faith in myself. I wasn't there for her. I didn't save her the third time. The world won't give me a chance to save her anymore. One day, I'll be lonely again. Without her." Natsu saw how his eyes were sad which made him lower his guard. "I'm sorry. But even if I did want to protect her now, she hates me. You saw what I did. I screwed my chances with her. Now I can never be with her."

'That's not true!! You were just hurt and confused!! I could never hate you for that! Not after what I have heard you have been through these past 7 years when I wasn't there for you!!!' Lucy screamed out loud inside the space like place, hoping that maybe Midnight can hear her cries. But he continues to stay still as if he didn't hear a single thing. 'It's no use... They can't hear me if I'm in here...' She said as she cried silently into her hands.

"Lucy isn't like that. I'm sure that you know that she's very forgiving. She forgave you and accepted you. What makes you think she wouldn't forgive you again?" Natsu asked as his eyes were filled with concern. "Because of what I'm about to do to you. I'm sorry. But you're in the way." Natsu's eyes widened and surprised and was startled. "Genesis Zero!" Midnight shouted as he threw one of his powerful dark magic he has on him. Watching the Dragon Slayer being consumed into nothingness, he felt more guilty.

'I'm sorry Lucy... If he wasn't here in the first place, maybe you wouldn't hate me more...' Midnight thought to himself. Lucy on the other hand watched how Midnight was about to make Natsu disappear. She had to do something before her best friend really disappears and Midnight will regret it.

'Please stop this... Open your eyes Midnight!! Can't you see what your doing is wrong!!! Bring Natsu back and restart all over again!!!!' Lucy shouted at the top of her lungs. Without her knowledge, she unconsciously used the Real Nightmare. Then a bright light started to shine almost blinding them. 

One moment Midnight was blinded by a light, the next thing he knows, he's surrounded by darkness. He looked down and realized he was wearing his old clothes from 7 years ago. Even his physique was the same as before. When he looked up and saw Zero right in front of him. He then shot his magic at him but luckily, Midnight reflected even though he flinched a little. He heard the magic hit something from behind and a scream followed.

He looked behind him and his eyes widened in horror. "Lucy!!!!" He screamed as he ran up to her and carried her in his arm. He saw as the blood started to drop on the floor. "Y-You weren't there t-to save me... Y-You promised... Y-You did this to me... Y-You k-killed me..." She muttered as she slowly close her eyes and stopped breathing. Midnight started to tear up and hugged her figure tightly. "Lucy!!! Don't leave me!!!" 

'Open your eyes Midnight!!! Start over again so we can be together!!' 

Midnight looked up as he recognized the voice. "L-Lucy..?" But then the body he held started to disappear, including the fake Zero, as he slowly went back to reality. 'W-Was that Real Nightmare? Did Lucy do that?" He looked at the orb where Lucy once was and has now disappeared inside with her two friends banging on it. 'Did you do that for me?' Then he was punched in the face by Natsu.

"Don't even know if you can protect her? Cut the crap!" Natsu shouted. Midnight rubbed his face and started to release magic onto his hand. "The whole world has rejected me no matter what I do to change that. I'm pretty sure that even the gods themselves planned this when I was born."

The two continued to fight each other. Both of them getting hurt here and there. But then they used up all their magic punching each other, both fists meetings they struggled to overpower the other. But Midnight's arm started to form visible dark cracks. "W-What the..."

"So what if the world rejects you? That doesn't mean that you should reject it back! Screw that kind of world and continue what you do!! Stop being afraid that you can't protect Lucy anymore! You must protect her from anything no matter who says!! She would've done the same thing to you. Stop being so scared and come back to your senses!" Natsu punched him causing Midnight to stumble. Each blow that Natsu keeps on delivering, memories started to replay on Midnight's mind.

"Hahaha! This is what happens when you start to worship for dark magic scum! You go to prison and live miserably!" A guard said as he kept on kicking Midnight in the guts while other guards were laughing at him. He felt so humiliated. Midnight started to throw up and cough hard.

"Disgusting! It's your vomit so you should clean it up! I'm not gonna wash some lowlife's meal. Here's your piece of bread. That's your dinner." The guard threw the bread at him, hitting him and left while laughing with his friends.

Midnight got the bread and sat on his bed. He didn't bother to take a bite out of it. He just stared at it as if it's the most interesting thing he has ever seen.

"I'm gonna endure it... For Lucy... So we can meet again soon..."

"I've heard that your dating Lucy Heartfilia." Midnight ignored the guard and looked away. He got punched in the face. "Don't ignore me! That's very rude! How can that girl from Fairy Tail date someone like you? A hot chick like her falling for a lowlife criminal like you?! Hahahaha!! That's gotta be the funniest thing I've ever heard!" The guard's friends started to laugh really hard. 

"I'm betting that she dated you because you threatened her if she doesn't." One of the other guards said. "She probably has an actual boyfriend who's not a scum like you. She must be happy that you're here in prison!" Midnight looked at him and glared at him. "Lucy is not like that!! She would never do that to me!!!"

He got kicked in the face and getting stomped at over and over again. "Don't ever talk back to us!!" He kept on kicking on him until he was satisfied. After the guards left, Midnight was just there on the ground. He was curled up and started to cry silently. 

"Lucy would never do that to me... She would never leave me..."

Midnight was just lying down on his bed, trying to catch a nap. His head shot up when he heard footsteps coming closer to his cell. He sit up and saw Lahar standing on the other side of the bars. "What are you doing here?" Midnight asked him. "I've come to tell you something. This might be hard for you though." Midnight looked at him suspiciously and nodded his head for him to continue.

"Recently, a number of Fairy Tail members were on Tenrou Island for their S-Class Exams. But they were attacked by Grimore Heart. Fortunately, they managed to defeat all of its members." Midnight smirked and said, "What? You think I would've been sad because our allies lost? I'm not surprised that Fairy Tail defeated them. They got Oracion Seis. And frankly, I don't care if they were caught." 

"That's not what I came here for." Lahar said. Midnight then raised his eyebrows in confusion. "Later after Fairy Tail's victory, Acnologia attacked the island. With its last attack, it vaporized the entire island till there was nothing left of it. No members of the guild were found." Midnight's eyes widened in horror. 'S-She couldn't have...'

"I'm sorry to say this to you, but Lucy Heartfilia was one of the members on that island. I've heard from the other guards that you were dating her. I'm sorry for your loss." Midnight ran up and grabbed the bars in front of Lahar. Anger was clearly on his eyes. "Cut the bull! You're lying to me! You're just like the other guards! Laughing at me and my misery! Insulting me! There's no way Lucy died!!" 

Lahar pushed his glasses and said, "I can't lie to you about it. After all, I saw it happened with my own eyes." Then Lahar left the room leaving Midnight to fall onto his knees. Tears kept on flowing out of his eyes. He hasn't cried so hard like this before. It was too much for him to actually believe it.

'I wasn't able to protect you! If only I was there with you! Then maybe... I wouldn't be so alone!'

Midnight was done discussing the plans for the Infinity Clock with his members. He was just out in the forest at night, training himself. That's until Cobra found him and placed a newspaper on a tree stump. "Do you know which Celestial Wizard we should use for the clock?" Midnight shook his head. "Not yet. Why? Did you found one?"

"I did. But you're not gonna like it." Midnight raised an eyebrow at him. "Did you hear the news? Fairy Tail members who supposedly died 7 years ago are back again. That includes your girlfriend." His eyes widened and took the newspaper and examined it himself, seeing if it's really true. Seeing the words 'Supposed Dead Fairy Tail Members Came Back Alive' was all it took for Midnight to start tearing up. "Lucy... You're ok... You're really ok... I'm so happy..."

"Midnight." Cobra called out catching his attention. "Heartfilia is a Celestial Mage. She has ten keys of the Golden Gates. You know what that means?" Midnight looked at him in shocked and hesitantly nodded his head yes. "O-Of course..."

"If you want to continue your plan, you have to sacrifice your girlfriend."

Midnight was looking at the fight between Natsu and Byro. He was waiting until the Infinity Clock was activated. He turned his attention to the blonde Celestial Mage who was watching the fight as well. He wanted to call her name just so she could see him with love in her eyes. It took all of his power to not go punch that womanizing Legion Tribe member. Each touch he gives her always boils his anger and he knew this was jealousy. He wished he could just go up there pulling her away and giving her a hug. So he can feel her warmth again.

But he can't...

He has to stay in the shadows with his team until the time is right. He remembered the picture of Lucy as a little child when he went inside of Lucy's mansion. He thought she looked so adorable that time. But it wasn't like she's not adorable now. He still thinks about her. 

'Cobra...' Midnight thought, knowing that the Poison Dragon Slayer can hear him. He saw him looked him with a questioning look. 'I wish I didn't thought of this plan in the first place. There's no going back now. Lucy will hate me. She wouldn't love me anymore.' Cobra put a hand on his shoulder and whispered to him, "Probably. But if you have a chance to be alone with her, explain to her. Give her your reasoning. She'll understand I'm sure of it. All you have to do is wait until this is over. You'll see by then if you'll have a chance."

Midnight nodded his head and continue to watch the fight. He saw the pieces of the clock started to flow and started to built itself into a giant clock. "I think it's about time to reveal ourselves." Midnight said to his teammates. They all smirked and started to walk out of their hiding area. Midnight was the last one to go out. He looked down and saw Lucy's shocked face.

'I wish I could take back my actions. So you wouldn't have to see me like this guy ever again.'

Midnight was punched again by Natsu. "You think what you're doing is good for your own sake? Think how others would be affected here!! Then Lucy and you can be together again!!!" After one hard final punch to Midnight's face, he hit the wall hard that it started to crumble. Before he fell back, only one thought was going through his mind.

'Lucy... I'm sorry.. Please forgive me..'

The moment Midnight fall into the new hole, despite Natsu trying to catch him, Lucy started to cry. 'T-That's not what I-I wanted to do... Midnight!! Come back!!' She shouted at the top of her lungs. She was crying into her eyes, scared that she might have killed him. "Lucy? Is that your voice?"

Lucy's head shot up. It wasn't Midnight's voice which disappointed her, but it was a voice she's very familiar with. It was Natsu's voice. He heard her. "Natsu! Is that you?!" Lucy shouted as she looked around. But she was still in the space like room. "I don't see you! Wait... Is Lucy this big fish now?"

"Hell no!! I'm a big giant snack for Happy to eat..." Lucy sulked to herself. "Im not gonna eat you!" Happy exclaimed. "That aside.. Natsu... That was unnecessary for you to push Midnight on to the wall.. Causing him to fall down!!" Natsu started to laugh, very nervous. "Haha.. W-Well I had to b-beat some sense to h-him.. You know.." He laughed awkwardly. "I'm close to go Real Nightmare all over your ass..." Lucy said deadly making Natsu apologize repeatedly.

"Lu-chan! We found a way for you to be back to your own self. But for that to happen.. You would be falling from the sky like a fallen star crashing down once your back to normal..." Levy said uneasy. "What?! That's crazy! There has to be another way!" Natsu argued. "I'll do it!" Lucy said with much confidence. "Luce?"

"I'm a Fairy Tail mage, Layla and Jude Heartfilia's daughter, Michelle's big sister, and Midnight's girlfriend! There isn't anything I won't and can't do! I'll do it!!" Lucy said with determination. She closed my eyes as She started to use the magic from the clock to bring me back into the real world.

'This is for Midnight's and my future.. For us to be one again!'

Lucy opened her eyes as her vision started to be a little blurry. Once it was adjusted, She sees herself sitting on top of Natsu who looks like he tried to catch her. He looked at her giving her a grin as she smiled back. Once Lucy got off of him, everyone started to crush her in a big group hug. 

But the time they broke the hug, a loud crash was heard not too far away from them. She started to have a thought and her heart was filled with hope. She saw Natsu sniffing the air then his eyes widening. "Luce! That's him!" Natsu said. Her eyes widened as tears started to come up. Everyone nodded their head, indicating for her to go to him. She nodded back and ran to the place where the crash occur.

Lucy arrived and went on the crater the crash has made. She saw him lying there, looking like he's not awake yet. His clothes were slightly tattered and he was bruised almost everywhere. She went by his side and held him by her arms. She held his cheeks and wiped off the dust smudge on his face. 

His eyes twitched and he started to cough. He slowly opened his eyes as he looked around, checking where he is. Once his eyes made contact with hers, his heart stopped for a bit as his eyes were wide. "L-Lucy..." He whispered as he broke the eye contact and looked away from her. He felt such a burden right now. "I-I can't look you in the eyes anymore. I've hurt you even though I promised to protect you. You definitely wouldn't take me back.. You could never forgive me."

Lips started to go in contact with his own dark lips. He was surprised that Lucy was kissing, giving him so much love as she did 7 years ago. She still accepted him despite what he has done to her. His eyes started to close as he kissed her back, giving her the same amount of love she is giving. Once they pulled away, they were both breathing heavily.

"Baka.. If I didn't want to forgive you, I wouldn't be here with you in my arms." Lucy chuckled as she gave him a small smile. Midnight laughed a little and gave her a weak smile. "I could never stop loving you no matter what you do to me. You were the one who took my heart all those years ago." Lucy said as she started to tear up a bit. A tear rolled down her cheek causing Midnight wiping it away.

"I feel like I don't deserve you. Yet at the same time, I do. I must be a big idiot for not hoping you were still alive and well." Lucy laughed softly at what he said. "Yeah.. But your my big idiot. All that matters is that you're here with me. I've always waited for this moment to happen." She said as she hugged me tightly as he did the same. 

When they pulled away, Lucy started to feel nostalgic. "This moment actually reminds me of what happened 7 years ago. You being in my arms being bruised and all, us being here after a fight between both of our teams, both of us falling down from the sky when Nirvana and now The Infinity Clock crumbled. Doesn't this remind you of that time?"

Midnight gave a small chuckle and nodded his head. "Yeah I think so. But it's kinda nice to repeat history with a few details changed." Lucy smiled at him. "It's always nice to look back at the past, Midnight." 

"You know actually, Midnight isn't my real name. I mean, what kind of parents name their child 'Midnight'?" Lucy gave him a surprised look. "That's right. The names you have are code names." Midnight nodded his head and kinda smiled a bit when he thought her surprised look was cute. "Yeah. My real name is Macbeth. No last name though. I can't remember it." Lucy gave Midnight a small punched on the chest.

"Ow! What was that for?" Midnight asked as he rubbed where she hit him. "It took you 7 years to tell me that now? Real smooth.." Lucy complained as she gave him a small glare. "Hey. Cut me some slack. I haven't introduced myself as Macbeth for a really long time. The name Midnight has really grown to me. But I guess because of you, I'm ready to show my true self before the Oracion Seis existed."

"Well.. I'll forgive you because you're cheesy and cute.." Lucy pouted as a small blush appeared on her face. Midnight gave a chuckle and said, "You're the cute one." He pulled her down for a kiss into which she responded to. Pulling back, Midnight had a sad smile plastered on his face. Lucy noticed and questioned him, "Is there something wrong?"

"If these events will really repeat what happened back at Nirvana, then I will be back in prison again. They'll probably make us stay there longer than we were suppose to. Meaning you have to wait again.." Midnight said sadly. Lucy frowned realizing he was right. If this scene is like what it was 7 years ago, then definitely he will be taken away from right before her eyes. And he will be back in that retched prison again. With all of those guards who bullied him.

"Don't worry! I'm willing to wait even longer for you. And I promise this time, I'm never gonna be gone from this world until we are finally together for good. I'll keep this promise. And Celestial Mages never break a promise!" Lucy reassured him which put him at ease. Now he knows nothing bad will happen while he's gone.

"Lucy... About that moment you casted Real Nightmare at me..." Midnight said making Lucy's eyes widened. "A-About that!! I'm so so so so sorry!!! I-I-I was just trying to stop you b-before you did something rash!! I-I didn't mean to h-hurt you! Please please please forgive m-!" Lucy's ramble was cut off with Midnight's hand on her cheek and his laugh. "Don't worry. I'm not mad at you." Lucy gave out a sigh of relief.

"You know I thought my greatest fear... My greatest nightmare was being stuck in that tower as a slave. Being so helpless and getting abused everyday. But because of the Real Nightmare, it showed me my true nightmare. And that was you dying for I have failed to protect you. I don't ever want that to happen. So please... Don't ever leave my side." Lucy smiled and kissed him again. "Never in my dreams."

"Midnight of the Oracion Seis, leader of the Reborn Oracion Seis, we have come to take you into custody." A new voice said interrupting the moment. The two turned to find Lahar and Doranbolt standing there, ready to take in the dark mage. "Lucy?! What are you doing here with him?!" Doranbolt questioned confused on why a Fairy Tail member, someone who was the victim in this incident no less, was with the the master mind of this whole ordeal. 

Lahar tugged Doranbolt's sleeve and whispered to him about their relationship. He was so shocked because he never imagined that Lucy would fall in love with one of their enemies from before. And the fact that she is still with him after what he has to done to her.

Lucy looked at Midnight's eyes as he looked back at hers. She gripped on to her coat as if she didn't want to let him go. And she doesn't. "Midnight... No.. Macbeth.... Do you have to go." She asked as tears threaten to fall down her cheeks. "I have to, love. At least if I don't resist, I won't have more time to spend in prison. I promise you, I will believe that we will be able to live together and love. I won't let anyone tell me that you're dead. To me, you will survive until we see each other again."

He held up her hand and kissed her knuckles. He stood up and walked towards the two men. "You realize that your sentence in prison will become longer." Midnight scoffed at Lahar and said, "Of course." He continued to walk away with the two men.

"Doranbolt! Lahar! I need you to do a favor for me!" Lucy shouted causing the two to look at her. "I want you both to watch him instead of those prison guards that has been watching him!" Doranbolt gave her a confused look. "Why is that? Is there something wrong with the guards?" He questioned her. She shook her head continuously and said, "Those guards of yours have been abusing Macbeth even since he was inside that damn cell! If he goes back inside again, those stupid guards will just beat him up again!"

"Is this true, Midnight?" Doranbolt asked the reflector's mage. His back was turned to them but he was shaking up a bit. He gave him a short nod. "And why should we follow you?" He asked Lucy. "I wouldn't get a wink of sleep if I'm not sure if he's getting beaten up. Please... I'm begging you.." 

Lahar looked at her and sighed. He adjusted his glasses and said, "Alright. We will do as you asked. Come on Doranbolt. We have to get the other members." The other man hesitated a little but nodded and continued to walk with the two.

"MACBETH!!" Lucy shouted as she ran toward's the said man. Midnight turned around and was caught off guard when she wrapped her arms around her neck and kissed him right at the spot. He melted in to the kiss and wrapped his own arms around her waist. When they pulled away, she buried her face in to his neck. "I promise you that I will be here waiting for you. And I will not break it this time!!" 

A tear slipped down Midnight's face as he hugged her tighter. They pulled and look each other in the eye. Lucy wiped his tear and gave him a kiss and said, "I love you..." He looked at her and smiled. "I love you too.."

When they pulled away, Midnight then went to the two other men. "I'm ready to go." He said. Lahar nodded and started to walk away dragging a stunned Doranbolt still shocked at what happened. 

She watch the love of her life walk away for the second time. But in her heart, she knows she will see him again but as a new man. 'One day for sure, we will be together again. And this time, no one will rip us apart.'

Guess even broken promises can be kept...
