Remus Lupin-Black was continuously walking back and forth in front of the St. Mungo's ward. His hands clasped behind his back and an expression of slight fear was present on his face.

"Moony mate, just sit down for a while. I'm sure everything will be okay," said James Potter, as he watched his friend's hurried pacing.

Remus seemed to not hear James' comment as he kept on walking. Sirius stood up from where he was sitting on the bench and took Remus' hand in his managing to stop him.

"Rem; don't worry so much. The healers are in there right? They informed us that the baby is healthy and normal and would be born in no time," Sirius spoke, trying to soothe him.

"But, what if- what if it's like me? I know we discussed this before..... But I can't help but worry that I'll destroy that child's life!!" Remus replied, his voice filled with pain.

Then Lily stood up walked towards the pair and looked straight at Remus. She knew how much he hated that he was a werewolf; even though being with the marauders had helped him immensely; a part of him was still the same.

"Remus I've told you that even if the child will have your furry little problem, which I highly doubt will happen; it will still have the most loving and supportive family ever!!."

"Yeah," Peter smiled, placing a hand on Remus' shoulder. "The baby will be loved all the time Moony, don't worry too much."

Quite a time had passed with all of them restlessly sitting outside of the ward. Remus sitting beside Sirius and both of them held each other's hands, while James, Lily and Peter all were standing, leaning against the wall.

As though after an eternity's wait, they heard the baby's crying, and not long after two healers came out of the room with smiles on their faces. Everyone immediately looked at them, relieved to see both were smiling.

"Congratulations! Mr Lupin-Blacks. It was a successful process and you've been blessed with a baby girl!!" Said one of the healers beaming at them.

"You can go inside now," saying both of them left leaving the small family.

"Oh, Merlin! it's a girl!" Lily squealed, with a huge smile adorning her face, trying but failing to keep her voice and excitement low.

"Come on now, hand in the money Potter, Pettigrew," she smirked, holding out her palm.

"Damn it flower," groaned Peter, as he and James handed three galleons each to Lily while the other two watched them incredulously.

"Did y'all just-? You know what? I should've guessed this before," Remus laughed lightly, shaking his head.

"So...Rem? Sh- Shall we go inside?" Said Sirius stuttering, his nerves almost exploding.

"Yeah, go on you two go first," James grinned, pushing them inside, "Go on!".

Sirius and Remus both looked at each other nodding their heads, and trying to calm their nerves, though they were excited.

They opened the door and found another healer in there holding their little girl.

The healer smiled and said, "She's a beautiful little one she is," before handing them the baby wrapped in a purple blanket and leaving.

It was Sirius who took her in his arms first, Remus saying he was afraid he'll somehow break her or drop her.

And when the pair finally took a look at her it was as though someone had turned on a water tap in them. Their eyes had already become moist as they looked at her.

The baby on the other hand wasn't crying, she was just looking up at Sirius with wide eyes; that both of them noticed right away were identical to his own.

Eyes that looked as though they held the entire universe in them.

"She- She has your eyes love," Remus chuckled, looking at him and Sirius responded with a small nod and a smile.

"And she has your hair," replied Sirius, looking at the small tuft of sandy brown hair atop her head.

"Wanna hold her Moons? Don't be scared, you won't drop her".

Hesitating, Remus gently took the baby in his arms and felt his eyes watering more than they already were, as he looked down at the now yawning baby.

They both smiled at each other. The same thought running in their heads, that whatever may happen, they'll protect her forever. Just then the door opened and the other three stepped in.

"She's perfect," Sirius let out a watery chuckle and wiped his cheeks.

Remus sat down in the armchair and continued to admire the little bundle in his arms.

The baby was now looking up at him, her doe-shaped eyes wide and then blinking slowly.

He gently lifted her a little higher and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Sirius smiled at the two and took hold of her much smaller hand in his. "I love you little Moonfoot," he whispered making Remus laugh softly at the nickname.

"Come on, Come on. I wanna see her," said James as he pushed open the door and walked towards them eagerly.

Chuckling slightly, Remus walked over and handed his daughter to James who was quite literally jumping with excitement.

"Oh, Godric! She's adorable!" He grinned, looking at her with such a fond smile that'd make anyone melt.

"She's a perfect mix of you two. Sirius' eyes and Rem's hair," said Peter who was looking over James' shoulder.

James was now gently rocking her and it wasn't long before she fell asleep.

"See Potter you're so boring that she fell asleep," teased Sirius with a laugh.

But said 'Potter' didn't pay him any attention, as his mind was completely focused on the little bundle in his arms.

"She's perfect Remus, Sirius. Really adorable," said Lily taking the baby in her arms now.

The smile hadn't left both Remus and Sirius' faces at all. They were continuously admiring her as though she was a blessing which she was, of course.

Lily handed her back to Sirius who carefully held her and rocked her in the most gentle way possible.

"So, what's gonna be the name of this lucky lady?" Asked Peter, with a curious expression.

The 'now-parents' couple smiled as they thought back to the night they decided on the name. They had decided on the name 'Leo' if it were a boy.

"We had quite a little trouble picking out names," said Sirius laughing.

"Yeah but we found the perfect one that'll match her," Remus said.

"Okay, so what is it?" Questioned James eager as always.

Sirius and Remus looked at each other smiling and said, "Op-", that's when the door opened and the person who came in was quite a surprise for everyone present except for Sirius.

"Ello Minnie!" Said Sirius, running over to her and pulling her in a hug which she happily returned.

"Minnie!" James shouted, and he too hugged her tightly.

"What a pleasant surprise, Professor!" Lily exclaimed.

"Well, what do you expect? She missed me so much!" Smirked James.

"Well Mr Potter I must say I'm not here for you, not at all-" James placed his hand over his heart acting offended- "In fact Mr Black- oh I mean Mr Lupin-Black here was kind enough to send me a letter. Now come on where is my granddaughter?" McGonagall questioned.

"Here Minnie," Sirius chuckled, handing his sleeping daughter to her.

Just like everyone else, even McGonagall was entranced by the little one. She smiled at her and handed her to James.

Then she looked at the two young parents and pulled both of them in a hug.

"She's the most beautiful little girl I've ever seen," McGonagall whispered. "Congratulations both of you, I do expect you all to mature because of her, but knowing everyone; I doubt whether that day will ever come," she finished with a little smirk.

"Oh, you know us so well don't you Minnie?" Grinned James.

"Hey! Tell us the name quickly!" Peter reminded them.

"Oh yes! of course, Merlin how did we forget"

So Remus and Sirius looked at each other and said, "Ophelia Lupin-Black," in unison.

"Ophelia.... that's a gorgeous name".

Everyone else nodded at the statement. All thinking that Ophelia was truly an ethereally beautiful name.

They all sat talking with each other. Laughter echoed around frequently but not loud enough to wake little Ophelia up.

The parents looked over their little girl while laughing and talking with others. Admiring her and swearing to protect the little miracle.

It was a really happy moment. And what made it happier was the joy that you were able to share and witness with your loved ones.

Little did any of them know...
