How Could You...?
'Dear Katsumi,
I know it'll be hard for you to cope that mom and dad died but I want you to know I'm still with you. I'm leaving you this in hopes that you find it, Katherine'll be bringing you here tonight, right? I have a business meeting, but if I do get killed during this... I still love you.
Take care of the business and the house if I go, okay?
We'll be watching over you, Kat. Don't you worry.
Your brother,
Katsuki'
Homare read the letter carefully, making sure not to rip it or worsen it's former condition. He was about to place it away in his bag but when he heard the Naka and Katsumi talking, walking to their suite, he hurriedly stuffed it on the bedside table drawer. Pathetically, he forgot that they use it to keep things in. Especially Kat.
As expected, the council president ended her conversation with the girl before closing their suite door behind her. "Hey, Homare." she greets with a small smile as she enters, removing the tie from around her neck.
"Katsumi." he nods in greeting, focusing his gaze on a book he fumbled to pick up as she had entered earlier. "Hey, Homare?" the student sits beside the raven haired boy, the bed dipping lightly as she does.
"What?" "I have a request." the boy listens carefully, and the girl continues, knowing that for a fact. "I was wondering if you wanted to come to the I.V.C. tonight, Eisuke invited you all personally."
"Isn't that for celebrities?" "Yeah, but Baba and Ota kept bugging him to invite the whole group." she giggles.
"Any rules?" "Behave and wear a tux, duh." she speaks as if it were the most obvious thing before getting up, Homare following her movements.
"Fine. It's just the whole group, right?" "Mhm, thanks, Homare." Katsumi hugs the boy for a quick moment before giving him a quick peck on the cheek as thanks. She gives him a flirty wink before leaving, claiming to buy her clothes and the other girls'.
Homare's cheeks burned for a moment, a bit embarrassed at her actions. He shook his head and left the suite as well, back out to the lounge. It turns out Baba and Ota, well mostly Ota, were urging all the boys to get tuxes for the night.
Well, who can blame him? He's a model, after all.
"Oh, Homare! There you are! Come on, you need to look your best for the night. Let's get you a tux as well." Ota's serious face made the three girls giggle as they walked out of the shadows of the hall, ready to buy some dresses.
"Ah, Katsumi, let's go! We have a whole section for you to try on. And I still need to do your make up."
Kasumi shakes her head as the group, including the bidders, enter the elevator and head down to the boutiques in the hotel. Nagisa, Katsumi and Homare had no problem finding their clothes, with Homare and Nagisa wearing black tuxes, Katsumi wearing a cocktail dress with a slightly puffy skirt, the top glittering under the lights.
Her hair and makeup however, was still not done and the artist refused to have her do it herself. But she didn't hate the idea that much as Nagisa left to read while Homare and Katsumi sat side by side, watching with sick amusement along with the other 4 bidders as Ota continuously put down the dresses and tuxes for the group.
"No." "It doesn't match your hair and skin tone." "Too tight." "Too baggy."
It was just one put down after the other. But after 2 hours, one by one, Ota finally agreed with the dresses and tuxedos.
Chii wore a navy evening dress with Naka in the same styled dress except in orange, and way more jewels sewed into her top.
After the shopping, Ota had quickly styled Chii's short hair into a half ponytail, Naka's down in straight strands. The artist placed a thin layer of makeup on the two before turning to Katsumi, who took a little more longer jewelry-wise.
After the whole makeover, Katsumi's raven hair was waved to perfection with a pair of long, silver dangle earrings and a simple white bracelet around her right wrist.

At the I.V.C., once they entered, all the bidders were quickly surrounded with women, but Soryu and Mamoru, who got annoyed by the attention, used Katsumi as excuses to get away.
"She's pretty handy." Mamoru chuckles once they get away, joining Soryu at the bar. "I'm not an item." she rolled her eyes. "Anyway, I'll have the usual smoothie. I can't wait for the day I can drink..." she mutters to the waiter.
The two laugh quietly before beginning to sip their own drinks. Around 9:00 that night, the auction began and Katsumi and the boys regrouped with the other bidders before they set the distraction into motion.
They called in a musician onto stage for a short performance and all the guests' attention shifted to the said person. One by one, a few guests in the party sneaked into the back using a password to get past the 'bartender' who was a guard.
Finally, the group of 6 moved to the door as well, their decorated masks covering their faces. "Sensation." Eisuke says simply and the man opens the door, letting the full masked group enter.
Soryu steps forward, taking lead as they enter a room full of mirrors. It looked like a dance studio.
The mobster gently pushed a single mirror pane and it rose, revealing an elevator. They took it down to a big auction hall, where the auction has began, the first item on list up for sale already.
Meanwhile, back up at the I.V.C., the performance has ended and the group was having a great time, dancing to music that began playing from the dance floor in the room. Homare was off to the side, teen models and actresses his age flocking around him, which eh kept turning away.
Of course, that did not deter the young teens, even when he mentioned having a girlfriend. "Just leave me alone. I have a girl already."
"Come on, you can just ditch her!" "Yeah! Aren't we so much better?"
'Jeez, Katsumi... Where are you when I need you?'
He ignored the girls' endless pestering, blocking out their attempted convinces.

"Now for the last thing tonight!" the 'Mad Hatter's voice boomed loudly over the speakers in the auction hall. "We have information about the Yuriko family murder and history!"
Katsumi's bored, hanging head snapped up and the bidder's were equally shocked, but didn't object when Katsumi started the bid.
But it seemed that people also wanted this as the price kept jumping higher and higher. It settled at 20 million for a moment. It wasn't Kat.
Just as the bid was about to end, her number sign went up, along with the bid for 25 million. No one replied, but the same bidder of the 20 fought back with a 27 million. "Let it go, bastard." she hissed quietly before she brought it to 30 million.
The person went to 35, and Katsumi fought until it settled with the mystery bidder on top with 47 million. The bidders expected Katsumi gave up after she placed her card down and only to come back up with 55 million, where it finally ended.
"Finally..." she muttered, running a hand through her styled hair before the bidders got up. "You really want this, huh, Kat?" Baba smiled gently at the teen who nods with determined eyes.
"My parents were murdered and my twin in an accident. I need to know what happened."

That night, after the I.V.C., Homare headed back to their suite where he found Katsumi by their shared nightstand, a folder in hand. And a yellowed piece of paper.
Oh crap.
At the sound of the door clicking close, she looked up with betrayed eyes.
"How could you...?"
