"Boss did something happened? I saw
y/n walking down the hall with her head hung low" Ran asked as he entered Mikey's office.

Mikey raised his head from the papers he was reading and shake his head. "Nothing happened" Mikey answered before returning his gaze to the papers in his hand.

Ran didn't seem really convinced but didn't question further and left his office, going to the lounge where the others were.

"Hey, did something happen between boss and y/n?" He asked as he reached them.

"Huh? Nothing that we know of. Y/n looked fine when she handed me some papers earlier" Rindou answered as he looked at his older brother with a raise brow.

"Why did you ask?" Koko questioned as he took his gaze from his phone and looked at the older haitani.

"Just asking since I saw y/n walking down the hallway looking kinda down. She probably went home first and boss is still in his office" Ran answered with a shrug.

"Huh? Well that new. Most of the time they both go home together" Koko mused and Ran just nod, agreeing with him.

"Well maybe that's why y/n looked down? That she and boss didn't get to go home together?" Rindou said although it came out more like a question.

"Maybe" Ran shrugged as he sat down besides his brother. "Wanna go to the bar?" He asked his younger brother who just shrug and nod.

"Well let's go" he said and stood up and left, with rindou following behind him and leaving Koko alone.

"Yeah, I should probably just ready some food for him when he gets home later" I mumbled as I began to prepare some dinner for me and Mikey.

"But I still couldn't understand why would he suddenly act like that" I huffed out as I began searching the ingredients I'll be using in the fridge.

"Hm, guess I'll just cook some chicken" I grumbled with a sigh as I began preparing the chicken.

"Hm? It's already late and Mikey is still not home?" I questioned and looked at the time on my phone. Seeing that it was almost midnight by now.

"Guess I'll just go to sleep first" I mumbled and went upstairs to my room and just went straight to bed.

[... ]

The next morning I woke up due to the sun peeking through my window. I let out a groan as I turned around and pulled my blanket over me.

I was about to go back to sleep before I realized that I still need to cook. I stood up before stretching my body and then tidy up bed before going down stairs, not even caring that my hair wasn't combed yet.

When I got to the kitchen my brows furrowed when I saw the food that I cooked last night was still on the table, untouched.

"Don't tell me he didn't come home last night?" I asked as I bit my lips and looked at the food.

"It's spoiled now" I sighed as I just put it in the sink for now. "I'll just throw it out after cooking" I mumbled and began to cook some bacon and some pancakes.

"I probably should check of he did come home last night" I said to myself as I went upstairs and went took his room.

"Mik... Boss? Are you inside?" I knocked on the door and called out to him, receiving no response.

"Boss?" I knocked again and heaved out a sigh as I yet again received no response.

I slowly opened the door and peeked inside, not finding him there. I closed the door and then proceeded to go to his office at home.

"Boss?" I called out again and knocked on the door. Same as before I still haven't gotten a response so I just opened the door and peeked inside, also not finding him there.

"Oh, looks like he really didn't come home" I mumbled and looked down as I closed the door and just went downstairs to the kitchen.

I then sat down and began eating breakfast after I put some food for bud later when he wakes up.

As I was peacefully eating my breakfast and staring at the seat in front of me, I didn't notice that the trio had entered the kitchen.

"Hey!" I flinched a bit when Ran slightly raised his voice to call me. "Huh? Sorry I didn't notice you guys there" I grumbled and returned my gaze to my food.

"We're here to tell you that boss won't be home for a few days" Sanzu said making me absently nod at him.

"Alright" I said still not looking at them and just continued to eat my food. "Well then we're leaving first" Ran said and yet again, I just nod at him.

"I should probably go back home after cleaning here" I mumbled as I stood up and put my plate in the sink.
