It wasnt even eight in the morning and Tyler was already crying.

He wanted to do something nice for Josh, so he tried to make breakfast. He had made them over-easy eggs because he knew they were Josh's favorite. It was all well until Tyler managed to drop Josh's plate. The eggs and plate dropped to the ground. Glass was shattered everywhere, and the yolk from the eggs had splattered all over the floor.

A normal person wouldn't cry over something so dumb, but Tyler had gotten sensitive over the years. He was angry with himself for being so clumsy and breaking everything, but he was also afraid Josh was going to yell at him.

He sat on the floor crying in the middle of the mess. The noise woke Josh, and he was annoyed until he saw Tyler broken down in the middle of the kitchen floor.

"What's wrong, Tiger?"

Tyler felt somewhat relieved. Josh didn't call him that unless he was in a good mood.

"I-I was making us b-breakfast but I dropped it a-and everything broke and I'm s-sorry Joshy..."

"Hey, it's okay." Josh didn't sound mad, which was rare. He helped Tyler up and lifted him up over the shattered glass. Tyler watched silently as Josh swept cleaned up his mess. He felt bad. He could've done it himself.

"You didn't have to do that," Tyler mumbled.

"Okay, next time I won't," Josh rolled his eyes. "You can't just be thankful I helped you?"

"I am thankful," Tyler said defensively, narrowing his eyes at Josh. His head hurt from crying and he just wanted to go back to bed. He really didn't want to argue right now, but if Josh was going to then Tyler could too.

"Sure doesn't seem like it. Just go sit down. I'll get you cereal."

Tyler didn't know if he should argue or "be thankful" but he figured Josh would want the latter. He sat in the living room and turned on cartoons. Josh came in with two bowls of cereal and sat next to his boyfriend. He handed Tyler the bowl of fruit loops and took the frosted flakes for himself, even though they were Tyler favorite.

"You didn't get me frosted flakes?" Tyler asked in annoyance.

"If you wanted some you could've gotten it yourself."

"I was trying to be thankful," Tyler explained through gritted teeth.

"I hate this fucking show," Josh changed the subject, grabbing the remote.

"But I love Tom and Jerry..."

"It's stupid, Tyler. We watch it all the time."

"Actually, we watch your shit all the time. But whatever."

Josh threw the remote down on the coffee table, making Tyler flinch. "God damn Tyler you just love arguing with me don't you!?" he snapped.

Tyler didn't answer, he stared at his cereal with disgust. He was never hungry when him and Josh were arguing. Besides, he really wanted frosted flakes.

"Yeah, that's what I thought," Josh muttered. He changed the channel to some boring adult show Tyler hated but they watched nearly every day. Tyler stirred his cereal in boredom, wishing he wouldn't have dropped the damn plate of eggs, wishing he wouldn't have made Josh yell at him.

"Eat your cereal, Tyler."

"I'm not hungry."

"Then fucking starve, I don't care."

"I know you don't."

"Shut up, Tyler. You know I care about you."

"I guess."

Tyler went to the kitchen and dumped his cereal out. He felt sick to his stomach after Josh's words. He said almost the same things every day, but it still hurt Tyler. He wished he could say he was used to it like people in the movies do, but Tyler would never get used to the love of his life being so mean to him.

Tyler really loved Josh. They used to be so happy together. They went through the whole love phase. The warm fuzzy feeling, feeling so in love you can barely breathe. Tyler still feels that sometimes, when Josh is in a good mood. Josh always says Tyler starts all their fights, but Tyler knows the truth. They wouldn't fight so much if Josh wasn't such a dickhead.

Josh loved Tyler too, he was just fucking sick of him. Everything Tyler did annoyed the hell out of Josh, and the things he used to find cute now bugged him.

Josh wasn't the only one with a temper, Tyler definitely had one too. Maybe they didn't love each other as much as they used to, but they still loved each other too much to walk away. Tyler wished Josh would turn back into the guy he used to be, even though he knew it would probably never happen. And since Tyler was dumb enough to think such a thing was possible, he was also dumb enough to believe Josh's lies.

"I don't mean it."

"I won't do it again."

"I know it's my fault."

Tyler loved to listen to Josh's lies. They made him feel better, even if it was only for a short amount of time. Tyler was thankful for one thing, and that was the fact that Josh had never laid a hand on him. He'd promised Tyler he'd never hit him no matter how angry he got. So far, he had told the truth.

It sucked, because when things were good, they were great; that was rare. Bad days were more common and when they were bad, they were awful.

Josh came into the kitchen and saw Tyler just standing there, staring out the window.

"What're you doing?"

"Watching the birds."

"I'm sorry."

Tyler nodded, that was Josh's best lie. He tried to believe it.

Josh rinsed his empty bowl out and placed it in the sink. He snaked his arms around Tyler's body and pulled him in for a tight hug. Tyler hugged back.

"I have to go to work."

"Okay."

Tyler wished he could have a job.

"I love you, Tiger."

Jeez, he got over that fast.

"I love you too."

"Don't be upset when I come home."

"Okay."

Josh kissed his forehead, Tyler smiled. Josh knew Tyler liked forehead kisses. He was trying to he nice. Maybe he really was sorry.

"I'll miss you," Tyler added.

"I'll miss you too. Don't go anywhere I wouldn't like."

"Okay."

"See you at four."

"Bye."

Josh left, Tyler cried. He was confused, his head hurt, and he just wanted Josh to hold him. Usually he would go out and be back before Josh got home, but today he didn't feel like doing anything. He went upstairs to their bedroom and collapsed on the bed.

It still smelled like Josh, and Tyler reminisced about when their love wasn't broken. He missed it so much; he wished he was better for Josh. Tyler wiped his snot on the back of his hand as he cuddled into Josh's side of the bed. He just wanted to sleep until Josh came back.

__A/N__

Hi sorry this was all over the place I'm trying to explain the situation but I'm really bad at explaining things. Let me know if you're confused about Josh and Tyler's relationship, I'll try to make things more clear.

But I'm so excited to finally be working on this. I've been inspired to write it for so long, but was so busy with other stuff I never got the chance to. Anyway, hope you enjoy so far! ❤
