Leo Valdez had one mission: to make Nico Di'Angelo smile. So far, all of his attempts had failed. He'd tried everything: jokes, tap dancing, he even took Nico to McDonald's, but even there Nico just stared out the widow as he picked at his food. Noting seemed to cheer the son of Hades up.

Perfect, Leo thought, This has to be perfect.

He sighed and went though his mental check list. Blanket? Check. Basket? Check. Water melon? Check. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? Check. Pepsi? Check. Nico? Not check.

Leo sighed softly to himself and put the Pepsi in the corner of the basket. He then laid the sliced up water melon beside it and then the sandwiches.

Nico's going to love this!! Leo thought as a small grin creped onto his face, though it quickly turned to a frown at a thought. At least I hope so.

Leo closed the basket and rolled up the blanket. He then placed the blanket on top of  the basket. He got up, picking the basket up on his way. He started to head out the door of the Hephaestus cabin but…

"Hey Leo? Where you off to?"

Leo jumped and turned. He sighed when he saw his half sister Nyssa standing behind him.

Leo sighed and crossed his arms, "Why do you want to know?" He asked, "Not to be rude." He added quickly.

"I was just wondering," Nyssa shrugged. "So where are you off to?"

"Oh, I was just going to see Nico…" Leo trailed off. He noticed a smirk on his sisters face and frowned, "What?"

Nyssa's smirk turned into a huge grin, "You like Nico." She accused.

Leo's face turned bright red, "Wh-what!?" He squeaked, "o-of course I don't." He claimed.

Nyssa chuckled, "Think what you want Leo," she started, "but I know you, and I know you like him."

Leo sighed, "Fine, I give up, maybe I do like Nico. But at the moment I'm more worried about his physical and mental health to do anything."

"Aww…" Nyssa smiled, "That's so cute, maybe when he gets better I can help get you two together."

Leo blushed, "If he gets better." He corrected and headed out, strolling towards the Hades cabin. He knocked and waited

Hey guys! Ok, so I'm super siked because I didn't think this book would get so many likes so fast. It seems like every other day, I would get a notification saying someone had added this story to their reading list. And I am so sorry for not updating. Anyway, I want to try to add Will into this, but I don't know if I want him to be motherly over Nico or have a crush on Nico… what do you guys think?
