Author's Pov:

Aera was again in the garden. Her wedding anniversary was near and she was no more excited about it. She waited for Minghao but he was no where to be seen. It's been an hour since she is here without even telling Mingyu.

He called her alot but not wanting to answer, she just messaged him. It's been a week, she has is trying to distance herself from him. She looked at the sky, stars were barely visible.

"I have been here for a long time,  I need to go now", Aera sighed. She was about to sit in her car when she felt someone standing behind her, turning around, she froze. He stood there right infront of her with his creepy smile, Park Minjun, Aera's worst nightmare.

"Hello sweet heart", he smiled. His smile still sent shivers through her spine, "Hmm, you have grown up, I see. When was the last time I met you? Something like 7 years ago? Last time your lover helped you. Who will help you now?". He tried touching her cheeks but she moved away. He snatched car keys. "Give them back", she said trying to take it.  He clicked his tongue, "I'll not, sweetheart".

Pushing him, she ran inside the garden. She knew a place where he cannot find her. She panicked. "Just wait until I find you. This place is abandoned, no one can stop me having fun with you here", he shouted. Aera took her phone and tried calling Mingyu but in vain. He kept looking for her. She kept her phone on silent.

Soon, Mingyu called her back.

'H-Hello, Mingyu, please save me. He is here, Mingyu. He is trying to touch me again, Mingyu. Please help me. Please'.

'I'll be there, Aera. Don't worry'

Mingyu looked at Jiho, he called Mrs. Jang to take care of him who willingly agreed. He rushed to his car driving at the top speed.

"You think I'll leave so easily? You tried to put me in jail but you're father didn't let you. Your dumb father believed in everything my sister said. Last time I met you, Your lover made me go to hospital. Now, it is my turn again. You were young that time but still felt so good", he yelled. Aera trembled.

"Aha, found you", he said. Aera peeked and saw him going at other direction. Aera sighed in relief knowing the way he went is wrong.

But she heard the footsteps, "I saw", he said. The foot steps neared. Aera closed her eyes. Suddenly he was infront for her with his creepy smile. Aera screamed. She tried to run away but he pulled her back making her fall which  left some wounds. He laughed like a evil, "You can't run away from me, Aera".

Aera cried and screamed loudly as she could. Infront of this man, she was nothing but a weak woman. Infront of him, she would lose all her strength. "Shut up", he slapped her. His hand imprinted on her cheeks.

He held her close, his eyes looking at her lips hungrily, "If you are thinking I am weak, then you are wrong, sweet heart. I still have the same power as before".

Aera tried to get out of his grip but while doing that her dress collar ripped off. Her cleavage was visible, "Aha, such a nice view", he said looking at her. She again successfully got out of his grip but she has no place to run away. As he took steps forward, Aera took stepped backward.

"Don't touch me", Aera said. Shaking his head, he said, "It's of no use, dear. Don't run away from me". Aera couldn't control her tears anymore.

She kept walking behind until she hit the wall. Aera closed her eyes tightly and sat down hugging her body, "Leave me. Please leave me".

"Leave her", she heard the familiar voice. "Ming-", whispering to herself, she met his eyes, "-hao". Minghao sighed, "You need to respect her mister. That's not how you treat  women".

Minghao took off his coat and walked to Aera, within an instant she moved back. Minghao seeing her condition closed his eyes and said, "Wear this jacket". "Ohh, sweet heart, you have another man your life, huh? I see", he said. "Watch your mouth", Minghao said. He smirked, "What if I don't?".

"Then here you go", saying this Minghao gave a powerful kick, "Want to see more?", Minghao asked giving him another powerful punch.

The man groaned falling down. "This is nothing, I haven't used much of my power yet". Minghao grabbed him by his collar picking him up, "You better don't try any tricks right now. Understand?". Minjun nodded. Minghao took out his phone and called someone.

Mingyu reached there seeing Aera sitting on the ground, "Aera", he shouted. She tried to stand up but couldn't. Mingyu ran and hugged her. His eyes went to her red cheek and the cut on her lips. He saw some of her wounds. Aera burst out into tears, hugging him tightly, "Mingyu, he tried to touch me, again. Mingyu, h-he... h-he", before Aera could continue her vision went blurry and soon she lost her consciousness.

"I think you should take her to hospital. One of my close friend is an officer. I have called him. He will reach here any time. I'll take care of rest", Minghao said.

Mingyu's eyes landed on Minjun, giving him a hard kick, he said, "You are saved today because of Aera otherwise I would have killed you".

Mingyu gave his card to Minghao and said, "This is my number, do call if you need help". Minghao nodded and smiled, "Sure but before that let me handle this old man".

"Old man!! You called me old man?", Minjun yelled. Mingyu kicked his leg, "You better shut up. Men like you only know how to act like a tiger infront of women but not infront of other men".

Mingyu picked Aera in bridal style, "I am so sorry, Aera", he whispered seeing her face.

At the Hospital,

"Nothing to worry about, Mr. Kim. Her wounds are not that deep, we have done the dressing. I just hope this doesn't bring her trauma back", the doctor said patting Mingyu's shoulder. Mingyu thanked him and went to Aera's room.

He held her hand slightly rubbing it, "I wish I could take all your pain, Aera". He chuckled hearing his line, "What I am even talking about? I am the one of them who gave you pain".

"What are talking about, Mingyu?", Jeonghan asked who was standing near the door, "What pain did you give her?".

Mingyu looked Jeonghan, "You are here". Jeonghan nodded taking a seat beside him. His eyes landed on Aera, seeing her wounds shocked him,  "What happened to her?"

When Mingyu called Jeonghan, he didn't give much information. He just told Jeonghan that, Aera has fainted.

Mingyu took a deep breathe, "Minjun". Only one word was enough to make Jeonghan angry, "Did that Bastard again try to?". Mingyu nodded, "Nothing happened, luckily someone saved her".

"I seriously don't understand what bad she has ever done to have such a life, Mingyu-ya. The only person I can trust is you. I know that you'll never hurt her", Jeonghan caressing his sister's hair, "I trust you with her".

Mingyu tightly clutched the sheets of bed, guilt filling inside him. "Jeonghan, I have a favor to ask. Jiho is alone right now. Not exactly alone but with Mrs. Jang. Can you please take Jiho with you for few days? I don't think Aera wants him to see her in this state", Mingyu said. Jeonghan smiled, "Don't worry about that. I was about say this too".

Jeonghan stayed there for few minutes and then left. "H-hey", Mingyu looked at the door. Mingyu smiled and welcomed him, "Hey, Is everything done?".

Minghao nodded, "Yeah, almost everything is done. She would be called for statements". Mingyu slowly nodded. "How is she now?", Minghao asked.

"She is fine", Mingyu said. There was a silence between them. "Aera, looked so afraid that time". Mingyu looked at Minghao with furrowed brows, "How did you know her name?".

"Ha, we used to talk sometimes so. We met in that abandoned garden, on the day she got to know about your cheating. We would meet there sometimes and have a talk", Minghao said. "And she let you talk?", Minghao nodded.

Mingyu at a point felt jealous knowing how much she hates talking to a stranger, he literally took 1 year to make her comfortable with him while this guy literally took few hours. Even after 1 year, Aera was still hesitant to talk about her worries but this guy...

Mingyu looked at him with a frown, "It is very unusual of her to talk with a stranger, especially if it is a man". Minghao smiled, "She is still afraid of me though. She would always maintain a distance with me, so you don't need to jealous about that".

Mingyu turned his gaze away from him, "So you know everything about her past?". Minghao shook his head, "Nope. I just know she has a bad past, she told me how you two met and then how much she loves you but don't want to give a second chance and also she told me how she found that abandoned garden".

"How?", Mingyu asked. "One of her friend told her about that garden so she visited there", Minghao said. Mingyu frowned, "Friend?". Minghao nodded.

Mingyu cleared his throat, "You must really be something to get to know this. She normally doesn't share anything. I can't help but be jealous about this". Minghao chuckled, "You don't need to be".

"I can't do anything about that though, I took almost 1 year to get close to her while you just did it in few days", Mingyu pouted.

"She hates me now", Mingyu suddenly said. Minghao diverted his eyes to him, "Who said that?". Mingyu smiled sadly, "It is visible, I know nothing can happened now. She will not forgive me. She hates people who cheat".

Minghao clicked his tongue, "You know, I once asked her if she hates you and her answer was she can never hate you. Even if she did, her love for you over powers it".

Mingyu looked at him with a shocked face, "S-She really said that?". Minghao nodded, "You know, she always gave fake smiles to me while talking but when she talked about you, her smile used to be a real one. Whenever she talked about you, her eyes shined just like a small child who got her favorite chocolate".

"She really loves and trusts you, Mingyu. But you decided to cheat".
