Author's Pov:

Eunji rested on his shoulder, tired. "Remember Mingyu, you had chance to push me away but didn't". Mingyu closed his eyes tightly, "I couldn't help".

Eunji got up, dressing herself properly again, she said, "What happened to that file".

"Aera was about-", he stopped and called her. At first it rang and suddenly it came switched off. He cursed under his breathe and called an employee.

"Did Aera come here?", he asked. The employee nodded and said, "She was looking angry and hurt while going back".

Mingyu got up and was about to go but Eunji stopped him, "Did she get to know ?". Mingyu stopped, "Leave me". Eunji left his hand, Mingyu ran.

The whole time he kept calling her but her phone came switched off. He called Mrs. Jang who told him what happened before. "She is still not home", Mingyu whispered and turned the wheels to abandoned garden. He was sure, she might be there.

After reaching there, he ran to her favorite spot. He saw nothing.

"Searching for a women?", the same man asked. "Y-Yeah, did you see her?  Do you know where she went?", Mingyu asked.

"You are her husband?", he asked, "She went back but I don't know where".

Thanking him, Mingyu again went to his house. He opened the door to see, Aera carrying a sleepy Jiho in her arms and a suitcase beside her.

"A-Aera", his voice cracked. He walked towards her and tried holding her hand but she retreated. "J-Just listen to me-"

"You are here", Aera smiled and went to Jeonghan. "Please take Jiho. I want to talk to Mingyu for a while", Aera said. Jeonghan nodded and took Jiho in his arm while the suitcase in other hand.

Aera's smile dropped seeing Mingyu, "I am still not leaving this house, Mingyu. As I had told you before, I am living with Jeonghan for few days". Her monotonous voice hurted him, it showed no feelings. "I know everything Kim Mingyu but just for the sake of our son, I am acting like this", she said, her eyes held nothing but pain.

"Aera, please let me explain", Mingyu said. Aera chuckled, "I heard and saw everything I needed to. I don't think your explanation will help".

Mingyu was about to hold her hand but she backed away, just like their first meet. "Aera, please listen to me once. Just once", he pleaded. He saw her hands clutching her dress which meant she is uncomfortable.

"I am already late, Mingyu. Jeonghan is waiting for me, I don't want him to keep waiting", Aera said. Mingyu could see the old Aera in her, the one who never showed her feelings to anyone especially men. She left and he didn't stop her.

Mingyu called Seokmin urgently. Pacing around the room, he waited for his bestfriend to come.

"Why did you call me so urgently? And why is the house so silent?", Seokmin asked entering the house. "It's over. Everything is over", Mingyu said. "What do-"

"She saw me and Eunji today", he paused, "while having sex". Seokmin say with the shock, "I told you to stop, didn't I? Why the hell did you do that? Congratulations, Kim Mingyu, you fucked up", Seokmin mocked him.

Mingyu started crying. "Now there is no use of crying, Mingyu", Seokmin couldn't help but speak like this, "Even after knowing past you chose this step".

"It happened again, Seokmin. Just like our first meet, she moved away. She hates me now"

Flashback:

Even after a month, Mingyu kept visiting the cafe just to see her. Until, one day, he muster the courage to talk to her. They talked but it was only limited to giving and taking the orders, nothing more than that.

"Hello! I am Kim Mingyu", he introduced himself extending his hand. Aera looked at his and nodded, "Your order?".

Mingyu awkwardly withdrew his hand back, "Umm, as usual today's special". Aera nodded.

"Aera", Mingyu saw the same man who always picked her up. His eyes moved to Aera. He felt jealous seeing her smile at someone else.

"You are early", she said. 'Her tone is so sweet. Why can't she talk to me in that tone', Mingyu said in his mind. "Yeah, I had some break, so I came here", He said. "Aww, so sweet", Aera smiled.

'Sweet? He is sweet?', Mingyu looked at him. He was totally jealous of seeing her smiling and talking to another man.

"Can I get my order soon please? You can talk to him later", he grumbled. Aera flinched and then nodded, "Just few more minutes".

"Excuse me, you can't talk to her like that", the man said. "Jeonghan, leave it", Aera tried to stop and held his hand which didn't go unnoticed ny Mingyu. "No, Aera. I don't want anyone to talk to my sister like that. You are not their slave"

"SISTER?", Mingyu shouted earning people's attention. Apologising to them he again repeated, "You both are brother and sister?". Aera and the man nodded. "I am sorry. Take your time. Enjoy your family time. I not in hurry. Not at all. Hehe". Mingyu apologised to them and sat on his usual table. He smacked his head, "Idiot, they are brother and sister".

After some time her brother left and she was still here working. Mingyu got up and went to her, "I am sorry for that behavior. I was just hungry". Aera nodded taking off her apron.

"Are you going somewhere?", he asked. Aera frowned, "Yeah, my shift is over. So, I am going back home". Without sparing him a glance she went out. Mingyu saw her phone, taking it her ran outside to find her. She wasn't much far.

Mingyu ran to her and was about to touch her shoulder but she moved front and turned around, just like her instincts told her. She felt someone touching her. "Don't touch me", she snapped, her face shocked and scared.

"Umm, your phone", Mingyu said. She checked her bag to see the phone missing. "Here", he extended his hand to give phone. He could see how her hand trembled while taking back the phone and her other hand clutching her bag strap tightly.

Present:

"It was just same, Seokmin. The only difference is that time her eyes showed how frightened she was and now it showed the betrayal. I lost her", Mingyu said as a lone tear dropped from his eye.

"Where she now? Where is Jiho?", Seokmin asked. Mingyu told him everything that happened. "Now, what are you planning to do?", Seokmin asked.

"I am not planning to give up", Mingyu said, "I know I have made a huge mistake and I am ready to rectify it", his tone was determined.

2 days later:

It's been 2 days since Mingyu has been living alone, he talked to Jiho but not with Aera. She always gave one or the reason. It hurted Mingyu. It was day she was coming back and Mingyu adamant to talk to her.

These 2 days weren't easy for Aera too. She missed him, his hugs, his kisses, his warmth. She missed everything about him. Whenever he called she wanted to talk to him but his image and his words played everytime in her head. She hated how her love overpowered her anger and hatred.

"Appa, I missed you", Jiho clung to Mingyu. Aera stood there expressionless. She took her suitcase but was stopped by Mingyu. "I missed you too my prince", Mingyu smiled pinching his son's nose.

Picking Jiho up, Mingyu stood infront of Aera, "I missed you too", he whispered. Aera nodded and smiled, "Jiho, let's go and arrange your clothes properly again".

Aera too was about to leave but Mingyu held her hand. "Leave me hand, Mingyu", Aera whispered. "Aera, please one last time. Hear me out please", Mingyu pleaded.

"I don't want to", Aera said taking her hand out of his grip.

After helpinng Jiho, she went to her room just to see Mingyu waiting for her. "Just explain everything you want to", Aera muttered.

"I know, I shouldn't have done that. I am an idiot for that. You know right, 4 months ago, I went to an event with my secretary. Someone had spiked mine and Eunji's drink and because of the effect we..Umm.. we", Mingyu couldn't find proper words to explain.

"Had sex", Aera completed. She scoffed, "But Mingyu not everyday your drinks get spiked, do they?". Mingyu guilty shook his head, "I just got swayed away".

"Swayed away? You said you still feel good with her Mingyu even after 4 months", Aera gritted her teeth, "Just stop with this, Mingyu. Can't I have done time alone? I had told you in past that you will get fed up with me because of my past. I had told you that being with me is no use. You actually proved it correct. Why can't you just leave me? Please leave me", Aera cried.

"I will not, Aera. I am not leaving you. I can't imagine to lose you. I never stopped loving you, Aera. I was never fed up of your past or you or I'll ever be. Don't think like that", Mingyu said. Aera looked at him, Mingyu wanted to hold her hand but he knew she will hate it.

"Did you ever think of stopping it? Answer me honestly, Mingyu", she looked into his eyes. "I did but", Mingyu couldn't find the words to say next.

"You just thought but never tried", Aera said, "Why can't I have a simple life like others? Why? Is it my mistake?", she asked. Aera broke down, "Get out, Mingyu. Just get out".

"A-Aera, please don't p-push me away from you", he stuttered. Mingyu hugged her but she pushed him away.

She got up, "Please go out, Mingyu". There was silence. Aera sat down knowing Mingyu was stubborn.

Mingyu knelt infront of her, "I am sorry, Aera. A second chance, just a second chance. Please". Aera closed her eyes, "Mingyu, Leave". But Mingyu being stubborn enough didn't move an inch. "Just a second chance, Aera. Please", Mingyu requested.

"What second chance, Mingyu? You broke all my trust", Aera said, "You knew how I am and you still did it. You said you loved me but where did your love go when you were fucking her? Where was it Mingyu?", Aera pushed him. Mingyu stayed silent.

"Fine then", Aera stood up, "I need some time to think about that. I am going out". Aera walked to the door. "Aera", she stopped, "I am sorry".

"Your sorry won't change the fact that you were cheating on me just like that man did once to my mother", Aera said and went out. She couldn't help but compare Mingyu with her so called father.

After closing the door, Mingyu broke down. Aera went to Jiho's room. She saw him sleeping, sitting beside him she caressed his head, "I am sorry that I might not be able to keep the promise, sweetheart. Your Eomma is sorry", she whispered. Kissing forehead, she went out.
