Author's Pov:

Seokmin was searching for Mingyu getting weird glances from the people there. "Aish, where is this guy? I don't even why I am helping him. If Aera sees him with Eunji then he is dead".

Seokmin kept blabbering until he saw Mingyu with Eunji holding their hands

And Aera just standing at a distance away from them.

"She already saw", Seokmin gulped.

As soon as Mingyu caught sight of her a bewildering mix of surprise and disbelief washed over him causing his steps to abruptly come to a halt. "Aera", he whispered. Her eyes, nose and cheeks were slightly pink, he understood she had cried.

None of them dared to break the eye contact, until they stood infront of each other. Aera's eyes demand answers while Mingyu stood there with shame.

"Are you going to explain or?", Aera asked. Aera's doubt increased, just then a doctor came, "You both are still here? Once again I am telling you, take care of your wife".

"Wife?", Aera asked. The doctor turned to her, "Yeah, wife", pointing at Eunji, "She is pregnant, 5 weeks".

Aera stumbled back, Minghao held her. The doctor turned giving a smile to Mingyu and Eunji. She went as someone called her. "Aera, I can-"

He was abruptly silenced as her warthful palm made contact with his cheek, gaining some attention from few people, "I never wanted to do this, Mingyu. But you made me". A lone tear trickled down her cheek.

"Jeonghan was right when he said everything is repeating", she whispered sitting down on chair, "I had heard enough of your explanation, Mingyu. What reason you will give this time?".

Mingyu stood there with his head bowed down. "They think you are husband and wife, Mingyu. And I am sure, you didn't even try to correct them", Aera said.

"Jiho is inside, Mingyu. He fell from stairs today. This was the reason I was calling you but you did the same thing, you again ignored me because of her", Aera whispered. "H-How is he?", Mingyu stuttered.

"Why do want to know now? Aren't you busy with your important work?", Aera asked in anger looking at Eunji. "Aera, I am his father too. I need to know".

Aera turned her gaze away from him. "The doctor said he is fine but needs to be under observation for next 24 hours. He got an injury on his head, it can be critical too", Minghao said. Mingyu slipped down, "What about Eomma? Does she know?".

Aera nodded, "She was there when this happened. She must be coming in few mintues". Eunji stood there looking at Aera. Seokmin came and stood beside her, "Not trying to be rude but can you leave? Aera is seriously in not good mood. It's better if you leave".

Eunji glared at Seokmin and left.

"Everything will be fine Aera", Seokmin said but moved back seeing Aera glares. She sighed, "I seriously don't know what to do. I want to see him".

"Doctor said that we can see him after few mintues", Minghao explained noticing their stare on him.

Just to make things worse, Mingyu's mother came. Behind her was the nurse who told them to wait for few minutes.

"How is my child? What mother are you, Aera? Can't you handle a single child?", his mother blamed her. Aera sighed, "Eomma, I was in kitchen that time. I didn't had any idea about this".

"First of all, why did you call a man when Mingyu was not at home?", his mother asked, "Are you sure he is just your friend?".

Aera looked at her, "What do you mean by that?". His mother scoffed, "You know exactly what I mean. First you made my son madly in love with you, I even doubt if Jiho is his son".

Aera stood up, "Just because I don't say anything that doesn't mean you can say anything. I am not like your son, get that in your mind". His mother frowned, "My son would never look at another woman when he already has a wife".

Aera laughed, "Really? Why don't you ask your son if it the truth?", her voice dripped with sarcasm. Mingyu closed his eyes tightly. "I don't need to ask, I am confident that he can never hurt a woman he loves, he can never cheat".

"Then maybe your confidence will vanish, now", Aera gritted her teeth, looking at Mingyu she asked, "Are you going to tell your mother, or should I?".

"Look at the way you are talking with him, Aera. This is how parents- oh sorry, your parents were never there for you right? I meant your brother. This is what your brother thought you?", his mother asked.

Aera bit her inner cheek, "You don't need to bring my parents or my brother in every single conversation we have, Mrs. Kim. We are talking about your son, not me".

"Eomma, stop", Mingyu finally spoke. His mother looked at him, "Mingyu, what happened to your cheeks?". His mother caressed his cheek.

"I slapped your son", Aera said, "And your dream is coming ture. Congratulations, I am finally divorcing your son". Mingyu snapped his face at her.

"A-Aera", Mingyu walked to her with slow steps, "Please one more chance".

Aera shook her head, "I can't, Mingyu. I tried giving you a chance but now, I seriously can't. Let Jiho say whatever he wants, I am not staying with you anymore".

Seokmin pulled Mingyu back, "Not right now, Mingyu".

"But-"

"Just shut up, Mingyu. You think she will listen now?", Seokmin whisper shouted. Before Mingyu could say anything Seokmin covered his mouth.

His mother looked at him in confusion, "Why are you asking for one more chance? Let her be, I knew it from start that she is just behind your money".

"Eomma, stop", Mingyu shouted, "Enough, I don't want to hear any other thing". His mother scoffed, "You-"

The nurse came, "Please don't make any noise, ma'am. We can take strict action against you. I request you to keep quiet. You can go and see him".

Aera rushed inside, her heart broke seeing him. His forehead covered with bandages, a saline drip attached to him. Aera took his small hands in her, "Please get well soon, dear", she whispered kissing his palm.

The others were standing outside, including Mingyu. "How did this happened?", Mingyu asked. Minghao sighed looking at Mingyu's mother.

After Mingyu went:

Aera was playing with Jiho when he said, "Eomma! Can I go and play with my friends?". Aera thought for a second and nodded, "But you are not going anywhere else without telling me, okay?". Jiho nodded and jumped off his bed.

Aera was busy in her daily chores when the bell rang. Opening the door she saw Minghao, "Umm, hello". Aera smiled, "You here?".

Minghao nodded and pointed at Jiho, "Umm, he brought me here. I didn't know Jiho was your son". Aera frowned, "Huh?". Minghao shook his head, "Ohh, nothing. I had once met him. He saw me and brought me here". Minghao rubbed his ear.

Aera laughed, "So you knew Jiho but you didn't knew Jiho was my son?". Minghao nodded. "Eomma, meet my friend, Myungho uncle. He is my teacher's friend, sometimes he used to come and that's how we became friends", Jiho properly introduced Minghao to Aera.

"But you never told me this", Aera said. "I didn't?", Jiho shouted. "Yes, boy. You didn't tell me this".

"Come in Minghao", Aera said. Jiho giggled, "Eomma, not Minghao, it's Myungho". Minghao giggled and said, "I have another name and it is Minghao. Just like your teacher, your mother is my friend too". Jiho looked at Aera for confirmation. Seeing her nod, he let out a gasp, "You both are friends!".

For few minutes Jiho and Minghao played, hearing the noise, Mingyu's mother came out, "What's this noise about? Can't you let a woman sleep?".

"He is mine and also Eomma's friend", Jiho said, "Just wait for few minutes, I'll come. I want to show you something". Jiho left.

Minghao smiled at Mingyu's mother. Aera saw her mother in law standing there. "Eomma, you need something?", Aera asked. His mother shook her head, "Where is Mingyu?". Aera told her that Mingyu went to Seokmin's house.

Just then Jiho came running, he was so in hurry that his leg slipped because of which he rolled down the stairs. "Jiho", Aera shouted picking him.

"We should take him to the hospital", Minghao said.

Present:

"Aera tried calling you all the time but you didn't pick up", Minghao said. "If she would have taken proper care of him, this thing wouldn't have happened. Our Jiho would never have been here", his mother interrupted.

"Eomma, one last time. Stop this. Please go back to your own home. We need peace", Mingyu warned her. "I won't. I can't bear that she is calling you a cheater, did you ever cheat-"

"I did", Mingyu shouted, "I cheated on her with my secretary. The day Aera gave me a second chance was the day I got to know my secretary is pregnant. I was the one who ruined this relationship, Eomma. You are not going to blame her anymore for Jiho's injury. It was not her mistake, it can never be. She could just have divorced me the day she got to know about the cheating but she didn't and you know why? For Jiho".

Aera looked at him fighting with his mother outside the ward. "If I be honest Eomma, she is the best mother I have ever seen", she heard Mingyu. Aera stood up and went to them, "Can you please not fight here? This is hospital not our house to shout like this". Her voice was lower than before.

"I am calling Jeonghan. If you want you all can go", Aera said looking at Mingyu. Her eyes looked tired because of crying. Mingyu wanted to give her a tight hug, but he couldn't even if Aera wanted he couldn't. He was ashamed of himself.

Seokmin and Mingyu's mother left. Minghao stayed there as Aera wanted him to. "It's strange to see him this quiet, Minghao. I am scared", Aera let out an audible whisper.

Minghao patted her head, "He will be fine". Mingyu sat in the corner, looking at Minghao and Aera. Seeing him patting her head made him jealous.

Mingyu noticed the way Minghao looked at her, it didn't take him long to realise that Aera is not just a friend for him but more than that.
