Mariam was sitting on the bed. Her eyes emotionless and face blank. She closed her eyes, a tear rolled up on her cheek.

Ali

Mariam screamed. She rushed to him with panic and fear written all over her face. She held his hand but her grip was loose and he fell off the mountain or cliff

ALI!!!

Mariam opened her eyes with a jerk. She looked around breathlessly, her heart was surrounded by fear. She clutched the shawl she had covered herself with, in her tight fist. Her lips tumbled. Her heartbeat increased. She breathed heavily keeping her hand on her heart.

Flashback

Jaane wale ko kon rok sakta hai

Ocean of tears flowed down her beautiful hazel brown orbs. She closed her eyes tightly remembering the whole flashback. She bit her lower lip trying to control herself from crying out loud. She covered her face with her hands and sat on the bed burring her face in between her knees and sobbed silently.

Kash hum bata sakte aapko Ali ke aap kya mayne rakhte hain humare liye.

Mariam said in a hoarse voice. She wiped her tears with the back of her hand and looked besides herself and found Ali sitting besides her.

Hmmm... Toh mujhe yaad kia ja raha hai?

Ali said smiling playfully. She smiled through tears.

Are tum toh rone lagi Marjina tch tch tch tch. Mere yahan hone ka itna gham.

Ali said playfully. He wiped her tears and cupped her cheek.

Agar itna hi gham hai toh main chala jata hoon.

Ali said. Her smile was replaced by fear. She shook her head sideways with fear laced eyes as he got up. She held his wrist stopping him in his tracks. She turned him around and hugged him tightly keeping her head on his chest.

Aa...p...aa...p  kahin nah....in jay....enge. yeh hum...ara huk...um hai

Mariam said in a breaking voice. She snuggled into him as tears clouded her eyes. He rubbed her back and tears rolled out her eyes.

Kyun chale gaye aap Ali?

Mariam asked, she closed her eyes tightening her grip over him.

Yeh qudrat ka asool hai Marjina. Jo aaya hai usse jana toh ho ga hi. Yeh zindagi toh aarzi hai. Aaj hai, kal nahin hai. Jitni zindagi khuda ne meri likhi thi utni ji li maine. Ab Jane do mujhe Marjina.

Ali said softly as he rubbed her back with his hand.

Mariam pulled away from the hug with a jerk and looked at him with fear laced eyes. He held her hand and stroked the back of her palm. He cupped her face and wiped her tears.

Khayal rakhna.

Ali said. He went behind her and touched his back with hers. She closed her eyes and breathed as a tear rolled up on her cheek. He interlocked their little fingers. She opened her eyes and realized that she was just dreaming about him.

Ali.

Mariam whispered brokenly. She fell on the floor and burst into tears again.

Main taan jiyan na mara
Haye ve das main ki kara...
Dil jude bina hi tut gaye hath mile bina hi chut gaye.
Ki likhe ne lekh kismat ne..
Baar baar ron akhiyan
Tenu jo na vekh sakiyan

Later

Mariam was still sitting on the floor. Her face had dried tear marks. Eyes red and puffy due to continues crying. Her body had turned cold. Her tears had dried but the pain in her heart was still the same. Her heart was still not ready to accept the fact that he has gone.... gone far away from her.

Humara dil nahin maan raha ke aap nahin rahe Ali. Kyun? Kyun ho raha hai humare sath aisa.

Mariam thought unable to process her feelings.

Marjina

She heard his voice and stood up with a jerk seeing him standing in front of her.

Mere sath aao.

He said and she walked behind him as he walked ahead. They reached the garden.

Tum mujhe bahot yaad aati ho Marjina. Kya main bhi tumhe yaad aata hoon.

Ali asked. Mariam let out a teary smile and nodded her head in positive.

He moved a strand of her hair behind her ear. She smiled brightly.

Kafi waqt baad aise hasi ho na?

Ali asked. He held her hand and they walked towards the swing. He made her sit on the swing. She smiled. He went behind her and moved the swing slowly and smiled

Tumne hasna kyun band kar dia Marjina?

Ali asked her softly. He held her hand and interlocked their fingers.

Tumhara hasna, tumhari batein, humari nok jhok.... sab bahot yaad aati hai. Har lamha yaad aata hai....

He stopped and moved towards her ear.

Har lamha.. Meri
Marjina..

He whispered in her ear. Her heart raced hearing Meri Marjina.

The swing continued moving. She looked behind herself and found no one.

ALI!!!

Mariam screamed standing up from the swing with a jerk. She looked around with fear laced eyes, her heart stopped beating for a moment out of fear.

Ali.... Ali... Kahan hai aap?

She called out for him, her voice was laced with fear as she ran around the garden looking around for him breathlessly.

Main yahan hoon Marjina.

Ali said. She turned around to face him and rushed to him. She stopped in front of him breathing heavily. She looked at him remembering their moments

Kuch samajh nahin aa raha hai na?

Ali asked her in a so gentle voice as if he's asking a 3 years old child. She nodded her head in positive.

Ek khel khelte hain.

Ali said softly. She smiled and nodded her head in positive.

Main ek lafz kahun ga aur tumhare zehan mein jo sabse pahla lafz aye. Tum usse kehna. Theek hai?

Ali explained her. She nodded her head in positive.

Dosti

Ali said the word.

Bharosa

Mariam said immediately.

Ghar

Ali said the word.

Kabul

Mariam replied immediately

Khoobsoorat?

Ali said the word.

Mohabbat.

Mariam replied immediately.

Mohabbat.

Ali said the word.

Ali!!!

Mariam said immediately without wasting a second.

Ali smiled. Mariam gasped in shock and looked down. She covered her mouth with her palm.

Ya Allah

Mariam whispered. She uplifted her head to look at Ali but panicked upon not finding him around her.

ALI

Mariam shouted. She woke up with a jerk and looked around. She stood up quickly and looked around breathlessly.

Phir chale gaye na?

She said in mind. She was left all alone with the painfully beautiful realization of her love for him along with her heart which was shattered like a glass.
