Just Throw the Hundreds. I'm Worth It.

Roman's POV

"I beg your pardon?" I say into my phone as I step out of catering.

"What is your credit card number?" My wife says slower as if I didn't know what she said in the first place.

"Galina, why do you need to know my credit card number?" I ask incredulously. The woman had her own credit card that was fully functional.

"Because you changed it, Leati." She snaps. "It's not the same one it used to be."

"Well no kidding!" I exclaim.

"Why did you change it?" She asks me with what I dare call an irritated tone.

"You knew what the old one was, therefore I changed it because you really don't need it." I roll my eyes. "And I don't plan on giving you the new one."

"Go to hell." She mutters.

"Sorry, I won't be back home till Thursday." I say and I could hear her mouth fall open from across the phone. "And I really don't want to speak to you again until Thursday, understand?"

She begins to speak but I cut her off. "I don't want to see your contact show up on my phone unless you're in a near-death situation or Joelle wants to talk to me. Other than that, don't call this damn phone. Don't call Seth's phone. Don't call Dean's phone. I don't even want to hear your name until Thursday, do you get that?"

I don't wait for an answer. "Good."

"I'm just waiting for the day you burn in hell." She growls at me.

"Well, you're first in line so you'll have to tell the devil I'm not too far behind you." I remark back to her.

"Son of a..." She starts but I hang up. It felt refreshingly liberating.

"What was that all about?" I hear from behind me and a string on profanities cross my mind.

I'm gonna have to kill them. I think in all seriousness. All WWE coworkers have that in common. They can't keep their mouths shut. I'll have to kill them.

Have you lost your mind? Says the other half of my mind. You aren't a murderer. And you aren't starting today.

I turn around slowly. "Listen," I say but then see that the person standing behind me was my insane brother. "Dean." I say with relief.

"Don't seem so relieved, what was that Roman?" Dean says seriously.

I sigh. "I need to talk to you and Seth."

•••

"Jesus fuck." Dean says.

"It's not that big of a deal. Apologize to Jesus." I say pushing my hair back.

"Sorry Jesus." Dean mutters.

"Serious now though, Roman, this is a big thing." Seth says, looking at me with thoroughly worried eyes.

"It's not big unless your willing to make it big, and I'm not willing to do that." I say. "For Joelle's sake."

"You don't think she'd really take Little Girl away, do you?" Dean asks, serious now. Dean and Seth were both insanely close to my daughter and it would break them almost as much as it would me if Galina took her away.

"If you had asked me that question the day Galina and I got married, I wouldn't even hesitate to say 'no'." I begin explaining.

"But now?" Seth asks quietly.

"Now..." I sigh. "Now I'm more then positive that she would."

"But we could prevent that." Dean says. "Isn't it what's in best interest of the kid that counts in court?"

"But what's on my side?" I ask, my jaw clenching. "Staying on the road 24/7? Practically putting my life on the line every time I get in that ring?"

"But if Little Girl says, no, I don't want to be with..." Seth starts but is interrupted.

"The wicked bitch of the west?" Dean offers and I roll my eyes but grin.

"I was gonna say mommy bitchest but wicked bitch of the west works too." Seth shrugs and I laugh a good hearted laugh that my brothers if no one else could provide.

"But so if Jojo wants to be with you that's what should matter right? Whatever she wants the most should be what the judge goes with." Seth finishes.

I shake my head. "But she's just a kid." I sigh. "She's gonna want what's at the front of her mind and even if that's me holding all the pretty stuff like Marvin Gardens, Pacific Avenue and maybe even Park Place, Galina ultimately holds Boardwalk and therefore I'm constantly screwed because she has monopoly over her mind." Dean and Seth blink at me.

"Are you fucking naming Monopoly avenues?" Dean blurts.

"Roman, what the hell?" Seth face palms.

"Is that wrong?" I ask but they continue shaking their heads. "You act like you've never played Monopoly."

"Well, I haven't memorized the fucking avenues." Seth groans.

"Shit, you fucking know all the names of the places and I don't even know how to play; I just cheat by stealing a few bucks while people aren't looking." Dean laughs.

"I KNEW YOU CHEATED!" Seth yells at Dean as he and I fall into hysterics. "IT'S NOT FUCKING FUNNY ROMAN, I HAD THAT GAME IN THE BAG AND HE..."

Dean interrupts him in laughter. "You didn't even say anything when I was suddenly $2,000 richer!"

I lay my head on the table, laughing too hard.

"Dean!" Seth shouts.

"AND IT WAS YOUR MONEY!" Dean falls out of his chair in tears as I laugh harder and even Seth begins to crack up.

•••

I step out of the shower, wrapping a towel around my waist and walking into my locker room in an honestly great mood.

I push my wet hair back from my face and walk to the cubby holding my clothes and personal belongings automatically looking for my phone so that I could talk to my baby girl.

I begin to sing lightly a song I had heard on the radio earlier as I look through my gym bag, sure that's where my phone had to be as it had not been in my cubby.

"Lord please save her for me, do this one favor for me..." I mutter as I just dump the whole bag on the ground.

"Where the hell is that damn thing?" I say to myself as I shift through different things that were in the bag.

"Dammit." I curse as I remember that I had left the thing in gorilla before my match. Panic begins to rise in my throat as I realize someone could have gotten into it.

I grab a shirt from the floor quickly and rush to the door, not really caring that I was about to run down the hall half naked.

Just as I yank the door open, a hand that was about to knock hits me on my bare chest by accident.

Naomi.

"Shit." She curses as she holds her hand and then glances up at my almost completely bare form. "Shit." She curses again but this time under her breath.

"Hey, Naomi." I say lightly with a small smile.

"Hey, I..." She starts but I remember my phone and cut her off accidentally.

"Sorry. I'll catch you in a second I really have to go do something real quick." I say while lightly pushing past her.

"It'll take just a second..." She says but I'm already tightening my towel and throwing on the shirt.

"I'll catch you in catering!" I call back to her and begin my frisky trek to gorilla.

•••

"Well, Roman I would have brought change if I knew I was gonna get a strip show." I hear as I walk into gorilla. I turn and see Bray sitting waiting down, waiting for his match I would imagine.

I chuckle but then give a straight face. "Dammit Bray, you had one job." I scowl at him and he laughs.

"Can you break a bill?" He asks.

"Just throw the hundreds. I'm worth it." I laugh.

"I don't know about all that." He laughs as well. "So what are you doing? And why couldn't it have waited until you were clothed?"

"I left my phone down here." I say as I begin looking for it.

"I don't think the phone was gonna run from you man, you could have waited. Unless you're like a teenage girl. Then you would have waited to long to come find it." He jokes.

"Nah, I really need it." I say.

"Well I haven't seen anything, sorry." Bray says and I groan as I couldn't find anything either. "If I do I'll let you know."

"Thanks, Bray." I say and he nods as I begin to walk out of gorilla.

"I'll have change next time!" He calls after me.

"Just bring the hundreds!" I laugh back, but my missing phone was throwing me for a loop.

I walk into catering with the intent to tell Naomi that we could talk later but that I was thoroughly busy at the moment.

I find her sitting at the same table we had been at earlier and I begin walking over to her.

"ZAYM ZADDY! THAT ASS THO." Dean yells at me and everyone laughs followed by many catcalls and whistles.

"Thank you, thank you very much." I say as I stand by the table Naomi was at and she laughs. "Hey, can I talk to you later, I'm kinda busy trying to..." I start but she cuts me off.

"Lookfor your phone?" She asks me and my eyebrows furrow.

"Yeah, how'd you know that?" I ask.

"I was trying to give it to you earlier." She says as she pulls my phone from her pocket and hands it to me. "I only knew it was yours because you got a call from your house like earlier."

I sigh a sigh of relief as I take the phone from her. "Thanks, Naomi. That's a lifesaver."

"Sure thing." She says.

I was about to walk away when I turn back and look at her. "If I left for a few minutes to grab some pants would you still be here when I got back?" I ask her.

She laughs lightly. "I would imagine." She says.

"Alright, I'm gonna hold you to that." I say and I turn and leave catering with the plan to come back.
