"I..." The azure hedgehog was trying to answer his rival's question, but he was absorbed by his ruby eyes, that were piercing through his and paralyzing his body.

These actions made the Ultimate Lifeform smirk slightly, already knowing the answer and chuckled quietly

"That's what I thought~" He whispered and closed the gap between them when he lightly touched his lips against the hero's, pulling him close into a kiss they both were desperate for.

The azure one ears perked up at feeling his rivals soft lips against his own but he didn't dare to push away. He too, as the ebony one, had been wanting to kiss him, he had been wanting to tell him how he felt so he kissed back almost immediately, melting in the kiss.

It was as if all the hatred the ebony one once had towards the smaller one had never happened. As if all the fights they had vanished, as if they never had an awful past towards each other.

The smaller hero had a very dark and noticeable blush across his muzzle as he kissed his rival. He felt this amazing feeling in his stomach that he had felt with no other before, it felt like there were fireworks or butterflies going on in his stomach. He never wanted to lose that feeling, just hoping that his rival was not messing with him.

And he wasn't, the anti-hero was feeling just like the one he called 'his faker', not wanting to pull away from this amazing feeling.

But unfortunately, all things have to come to an end.

The dark hedgehog slowly pulled away for air, since his injury was still didn't let him do much, and looked in his rival's eyes with a dark blush covering his muzzle.

The smaller one panted softly as he looked at the other, his blush not leaving him alone. He had his ears lowered lightly not believing what had happened, what they had done. Once he realized this, he dropped his ears.

"P-please... T-tell me you... you aren't messing with me..." The smaller one said.

"Of course not..." Shadow said softly as he tried to calm his blush. "I would never fall that low." He pulled his hands away from his rival and took a small step back when he saw they were still close.

The blue hero was still in shock, he didn't know what to say or do as he tried to calm himself down. "I..." He couldn't find the right words to tell him. He simply decided to tell him how he felt. "I like you..." He said it softly.

"I-" The dark hedgehog was going to say it back when he heard someone call for the shorter hedgehog in front of him.

"Sonikku~!" Amy had seen a familiar blue fur as she was walking and immediately recognized her crush.

Thankfully for the two males, they were in the dark so Shadow couldn't be seen from far away, he crossed his arms and sighed when he recognized the voice and rubbed his face, he didn't know if he should leave or not, he didn't know that they had broken up so he felt a little uncomfortable. "I should get going..." He mumbled as he saw the pink hedgehog running to them.

Seeing her running towards them made the azure one rub his face. Once he heard his rival say that, he felt as if his heart broke a little. "She's never going to leave me alone, is she...?" He mumbled and looked at Shadow. "Don't leave. I broke up with her a while ago." He didn't want his rival to leave, he wanted to finish their conversation and hear him say it back. "Please don't..." He sighed quietly.

This made the older hedgehog secretly smile, he nodded and leaned in then whispered softly before the annoying one could reach them. "I like you too~" Making the hero tense up and try his hardest not to blush as he lowered his ears slightly and smiled softly which quickly went away when Amy reached them.

"Stop calling me that, Amy." He rubbed his face in annoyance of that nickname.

"Sorry, I was just so surprised to see you!" Amy smiled brightly and hugged her crush tightly then lowered her ears when she realized that Shadow was there too. "Oh. You're with him..."

"Yes, is that a problem?" The taller hedgehog asked in annoyance as he glared at her.

Sonic groaned at how tightly Amy hugged him and tried to get away from the hug. "Amy. Let. Go." He hated when the pink hedgehog would hug him since she always exaggerated with how tightly she hugged him and ended up never letting him breathe.

"Sorry." She said sweetly at her ex then glared back at the dark hedgehog. "Yes, it is." She growled lowly. "Did you try to hurt him?"

"No, now leave. You're not wanted here." The Ultimate Lifeform growled back, not caring if he'd start a fight or not.

"No, he didn't hurt me." He said and panted lightly when he finally got out of her grip. "Why are you here? Amy, I broke up with you. I hope you're not here to get with me." He crossed his arms as he waited for her explanation.

"Just because we broke up doesn't mean we can't be friends." The pink hedgehog whined. "Don't tell me you don't even want me as a friend." She made puppy eyes at her crush, making the more serious one roll his eyes. He wanted to talk more with Sonic but Amy was getting in the way.

"Yes, I want us to be friends Amy but don't ever call me that again." He sighed. "We have to go, so I'll see you later." He started walking the opposite direction hoping his now crush was following him.

Shadow followed him with his arms crossed, he heard Amy groan and chuckled quietly then quickened his pace to catch up with Sonic. "Where are you going?"

"Somewhere far from Amy. Maybe my old house, I still have some stuff there." He sighed and glanced at Shadow then lightly blushed but it wasn't visible. "Sorry about her."

"It's okay, she was always like this either way." The dark one mumbled. "Why did you move out?" He asked when he remembered. "I hope it's not because of what I said."

Sonic nodded. "That was part of it, because I made you a promise but I also wanted to be with my family." The hero explained to the darker male next to him. "After seeing my family being controlled by Eggman, I felt so hurt and felt as if it was my fault. I don't want that to happen again to them. I wanted to spend more time with them since I would rarely visit before." He shrugged.

"What about your friends?" Shadow looked at Sonic and lowered his ears very slightly at hearing that he was one of the reasons he moved out.

"I left some stuff in my old house." He shook his head. "I am planning on coming back later but for now, I want to spend time with them. I have to go to lunch with Tails in about an hour. I would never leave my friends. I am still coming here to visit, and the castle isn't so far away either so as long as I tell the guards who's coming, my friends can visit. Tails has been going to see me but he ends up getting pranked by my brother." He chuckled and looked at Shadow.

He wanted to continue their conversation from earlier but he didn't know how. He also kept a bit of distance between them not wanting to make things uncomfortable.

"Pranked? How?" The dark one raised a brow as he looked in his rival's eyes again.

"I accidentally told Manic what happened about them attacking us, so he pranked Tails faking he was being mind-controlled again." He smiled softly and shook his head. "He knows Tails wouldn't hurt him." He was trying not to blush at noticing the way Shadow was being with him now.

"I see." Shadow slowly nodded and looked in front of him since he was close to blushing at Sonic's smile. "So Prince Manic likes pranks?"

He started imagining himself going to the castle as Sonic's boyfriend and lightly blushed, but it wasn't visible enough for the hero to notice.

The azure one nodded. "Yes, especially to me and my sister. But he's always bothering me the most." He chuckled softly.

The taller one nodded again as he started panting, he was struggling to breathe sometimes so it was difficult for him to walk for a long period of time, getting the hero's attention and lower his ears. "Shadow...?"

The azure prince got closer to him. "Are you okay?" He asked clearly worried about his rival's health.

"I-I'm fine." Shadow mumbled and rested back on a tree. "It happens all the time..." He looked around then at Sonic. "About earlier..." He started talking after he calmed down.

"Yes...?" The azure one lightly blushed and took a step back to give Shadow some space.

"I need to ask you something." The agent slowly sat down and groaned quietly. The azure one sat in front of his rival and nodded.

"What is it...?" He asked although he had an idea what it was.

"Will... Will you..."
