The azure hero looked up at the sky wondering what he did wrong to deserve this. He glanced down at their tents where all of his friends were sleeping.

He remembered all the adventures he had with them, all those fights he did to save the civilians. When they were the heroes, but that was long ago, long before the civilians from all over the world turned against them without a single reason.

The blue hero sighed and looked back up at the stars, he rubbed his face and shook his head. He stood up to go for a walk, trying to stay as quiet as possible to not wake up his friends.

"Everything okay, Sonikku?" Amy asked hesitantly when she saw Sonic standing up, she was still awake, in fear that someone will find them or attack them.

"You're always awake, you should get some sleep." She walked to her boyfriend with a small smile.

Sonic looked up at Amy and shook his head. "It's okay, Ames. Go to sleep, I'm just going to make sure no one is around." He smiled softly at her to reassure her that everything was okay.

"If you're going to stay awake, can you make sure everyone else is asleep and how much food we have left? We've been walking for 2 weeks without stopping, I think tomorrow one of us will have to go to a city and get something." He sighed. "I'll be back." He started walking away hoping Amy wouldn't follow.

Amy lowered her ears slightly and nodded slowly, she wanted to spend some time alone with him, she wanted to make Sonic feel comfortable around her, so she grabbed his wrist to stop him. "Sonic. You have to stop being so distant. We're all here for you. I'm here for you." She looked at him with begging eyes.

The blue hero looked down at his girlfriend and lowered his ears then slowly nodded. "Sorry. I'm sorry, Ames. I just... I just feel like this is my fault. I must have done something that got everyone against us. They wouldn't turn just because." He hugged her.

He couldn't stop blaming himself, he felt as if it was his fault that they were now running away from everyone. Now everyone hated them, and they had turned as the villains after all of what happened. He pulled away from the hug, feeling strange about it, as if it wasn't right, then shook his head. "Just go do what I told you, I'll be back later."

The pink hedgehog sighed in defeat and nodded, knowing she couldn't change the hero's mind, she walked away and looked at the resources they had left, it wasn't much, but it could hold them for a few days more.

She then got an idea, Rouge wasn't hated like the others, so she could help them find a place to stay and get something to eat without getting noticed. She smiled and waited for Sonic to come back.

Sonic walked around, he kept glancing around at the smallest thing he could hear. He was tired, depressed, the only ones he trusted was his team. He was hurt, his heart ached at the thought that he had caused this to his friends.

He kept walking for a few hours, thinking of all the past adventures, of all his friends who probably hated them too. He kept thinking that maybe one day he will have to fight them or his family too, he hoped that day would never come. For if it did, he would give up to them.

"Hello, Faker."

Everyone had woken up as the sun shined bright, waking up all the animals and plants.

They all were wondering where Sonic could've gone, they were afraid that he had left them, since they knew their hero very well, especially Tails, who was slowly panicking, close to tears. Unfortunately, Rose had fallen asleep, so she couldn't calm her friends.
