Chapter 21: Perfection

POV: Gemyni

I was in my brother's room, again.

I was waiting for him to wake up, again.

And yet again, no success.

Not even the slightest movements. Capricorn's doing even worse. She often quits breathing in her sleep. She'll shoot up, look around, and then crash right back into a deep slumber.

I decided to try and distract myself with finding someone to talk to. I've often relied on Taurus lately, so I went to find her.

Taurus was in her room. She was sitting on her bed reading. I looked around her room. It was much cleaner than mine. I made my way over to her. I nudged her a bit with my wing and she made space for me next to her.

I laid down and placed my head in her lap. She played with my hair with one hand and continued to hold her book in the other. I picked at my nails.

We stayed like this for some time until I disrupted the silence. "Hey, Taurry?" I asked her. "Hmm?" She acknowledged me. "Do you, do you think they're ever going to wake up? They have to, right? My brother wouldn't just leave me like that... right?" My voice sounded so childish. "Oh Gemyni, of course, they'll wake up. Your brother cares so much for you, he would never choose to leave you just like that. Capricorn too. They both care for you." Taurus spoke like a mother to her child.

"But what if-" I started. "Gemyni, it is only a what if. That is all it will be. They are going to wake up. I have no doubt in my mind. If they don't, I will personally make them. I won't let you lose them." She hugged me closer. I wrapped my wings around her, "Okay."

We stayed like that for quite a bit of time, just enjoying each other's company. Soon we both fell asleep.

I was standing in a room full of stars. There was no ceiling, floor, or walls, only stars and galaxies that stretched on for eternity. I started walking and walking and walking. There really was no end to this.

I passed close enough to touch a floating ball of light. It was a star. I grabbed it and tossed it between my two hands.

Whoosh

I turned around so fast, I had become a blur. "Hello? If you are a friend and not a foe you will answer my question. Who are you?" I felt a shadow melt over me. Air rushed over my neck from their breaths. "Oh, trust me, I am no foe. Although, I wouldn't quite consider me a friend either." I turned around.

He was made of stars. He himself was a galaxy. His eyes shone just like the star, Sirius. His black hair was made of space dust. I could see little explosions where new stars were being born. His skin was purple and blue with tints of pink under his eyes. Left ear was pierced. The earring he wore dangled down and ended in a constellation.

Without thinking I walked up to him and tried to grab his earring. I couldn't reach while jumping, so I used my wings to give me a little boost. "What the heck? How tall are you?!", I asked him when I had grabbed his accessory. "What do you mean? I'm not that tall! I'm on the shorter side actually.", confusion clouded his face.

I plopped down on the ground and played with the earring. "Oh really? Give me a number. I'm guessing like 20'59." I looked up at him from my stop on the floor. "W-what?! That isn't even a number!", he sighed deeply, "I am only ten feet and eleven inches. There, I gave you a number, happy now?" I gave him a sideways smirk, "Very happy. So why are you here? Oh, and what's this?" I held up the jewel. He sighed in annoyance again. "It is a zodiac calculator. Whatever season we are in, it changes to the consternation. So, for example, we are in Gemini season and therefore it is the Gemini constellation."

I slunk to the floor from my sitting position. I rolled over so I was on my back looking up at him. "Yeah, but like, what does it do?" He opened and closed his mouth several times before he finally said, "I just told you. Were you not listening?" I shrugged, "Of course not! So, what's your name? I'll go first, I'm Gemyni. Now you!" The man in front of me put his hands on his head while mumbling, "Why did I take this job? Ember should've done this."

He walked in a circle with annoyance clear in his steps. He walked back over and towered above me, "I am Namid, now will you get off the dang floor?" I got on all fours and crawled over to him, "Namid? That means star dancer. Hold the phone, isn't that a girl's name?"

Namid walked away. "Wait no, I'm having fun!" I called after him. "No, I'm done. I'm not dealing with this anymore. You may leave now." His figure got smaller and smaller as he got further and further away. "Aww, man. Can't you just take a joke? Fine, I'll stop and I'll listen now." I flew at full speed to catch up to him. He turned his head slightly and then the rest of him. "Finally. So, Abaddon has someone on the inside. Pretty much, don't trust anyone." I nodded with a blank face, "Okay, that's cool." Yet again, Namid opened and closed his mouth, "Welp, bye." He started to walk away. I waved vigorously, "BYE! HOPE WE CAN TALK AGAIN SOON!!" I saw him flinch as I started shouting. "I like him, he's cool. I'd put him on the friend list." I told myself out loud.

I started to fade away as I woke up. Something dropped from my hand. His earring. I quickly grabbed it and shot up into the air using my wings. I flew faster than I had ever felt the need to. His silhouette was nearly gone and I had nearly faded. I made one last effort before he was gone and I woke up.

I slowly opened my eyes. I was next to Taurus. Her wings were entangled with my own. I moved slowly so I didn't wake her. I walked out of her room and back into my own.

It was there.

It was on my desk.

And it had a note attached to it.

The earring glistened innocently. I picked up the folded piece of paper next to it.

So it wasn't just a dream... It happened. That means Namid wasn't just a fragment of my imagination... I knew I wasn't smart enough to create someone that perfect!

Oh and there's a spy for Abbadon here.

POV: Namid

I smiled from my place in the stars as I watched Gemyni chuckle as she read the note.

It's reassuring to know that I hadn't dreamed her into creation. I had gotten so lonely up in the stars, I had been dreaming of meeting new people more and more. When I actually talk to someone I have to question whether or not they are really there and aren't just a part of my imagination.

And, I know for a fact I'm not smart enough to dream up someone so annoying, confusing, intriguing, brutally honest, touchy, rude, loud, or bitchy. I would never be able to dream up anyone that

perfect.

Ahahaha! This was fun to write! Now, I need to go ice my hand, too much typing and drawing for one day! Ba-bai!
