Chapter 18: Until Death Do Us Part

A little fact about how I write my books, I won't name the chapter until after I'm done with the chapter. It makes it a lot easier to name it accurately.

POV: Libra

Virgo and I had packed our bags to go. We were only allowed to bring what we could put into a backpack. I left Geo with Scorpio and Daisy with Cancer and Leo (she's a handful) since each bunny had a preference with my friends and they each like those three the most. When I explained what care Daisy and Geo needed to them, Cancer wouldn't look at Scorpio and looked really confused and hurt. Scorpio looked at Cancer like he wanted to fix something but couldn't. Leo shifted from foot to foot, nervously looking at Scorpio than to Cancer. No one was really sure what was happening between them.

After explaining what to do to them I met up with Virgo and everyone else outside the front door. We said goodbye to everyone. Aries teased us saying, "Don't die, that's a lot of paperwork for us." Virgo smiled, "That's the plan."

Mrs. Angelica and Mr. Daemon started chanting words I couldn't make out. It felt like all the air was sucked into one specific place. In that place, a blue and purple swirling portal bloomed. Before Virgo stepped in she ran up to Leo and whispered something in his ear. After she ran and did a flip into the portal. I scoffed, "Show off." I walked into the portal. Suddenly I felt stretched and paper-thin. Just as soon as that sensation came, it was gone.

Virgo landed gracefully, using a tree to catch her. I, on the other hand, fell flat on my face into the grass. I got up spitting out dirt and brushing off the grass. Virgo brushes some dirt off of me, "Well, couldn't control trees this morning." I felt a wave of excitement flood through me. I started jumping up and down while clapping. Virgo looked overwhelmed by this sudden change. She asked, "What are you doing?" I started running towards the thick forest, "We're on Earth! Let's find your fam!"

Virgo caught up to me as soon as I was about to enter the forest. She grabbed my wrist and yanked me away from the forest. "Stay away from that!" I turned around to face Virgo. "Why can't I enter?", I asked. Virgo had a strangely focused look on her face. Realization rose up inside of me. "You sense something. It's not safe for me in there, is it?", I asked her again. This time I got a reaction. Virgo nodded, "It's like the forest is alive. It was hidden from the mortal men for a reason. Maybe that reason could potentially hurt, or even kill you. I don't want that kind of blood on my record."

I bit my lip, trying to hold back laughter. Virgo was taken aback, "Why are you laughing! This is a serious matter! You could get hurt." I laughed, "You care for me. That's why you won't let me go in there. If it was anyone else you would shrug it off and not even say anything. Oh come on, don't give me that look. You know it's true." Virgo huffed out a breath of annoyance, "Well you're my friend I wouldn't want to attend a friend's funeral. At least, not yet."

Virgo was looking anywhere but at me. I grabbed her shoulders and turned her to face me. I looked her dead in the eyes. Any thread of playfulness vanished from my voice when I spoke. "I agreed to come with you to get your memories. I certainly don't remember agreeing to stand in a field waiting for you to come back. If you don't choose to let me go with you, then I don't need you to choose anything that I do." Virgo still looked uncertain. I sighed, "I. Will. Come. With. You. Anywhere. Until. I. Die." Virgo's lip started quivering. I smiled, "Why would you expect anything less of your best friend?" Virgo shrugged, "I guess I'm used to abandonment." I pulled Virgo into a hug. "You will never feel abandoned as long as I still breathe.", I whispered. Virgo nodded and pulled away. We started to make our way into the forest.

The trees were thick and seemed to go out of their way to trip us, more specifically, me! "Ouch! That's the tenth time in the past thirty minutes!", I stood up in annoyance. Virgo chuckled, "The trees really don't seem to like you? I wonder why? You're just so appealing as a person." I lightly shoved her, "Oh, as if your so nice."

We continued on. "So, uh, any idea where we're going? Cause I don't remember being given a map or directions.", I asked Virgo. She kept on makinging her way forward, "Well no, but I have a hunch." I shrugged, "Well a hunch is more than I have. Please, continue on leading the way."

We continued walking for God knows how long. The growth becae thicker and thinker until we could barely step without scratching ourselves. Suddenly the trees seemed to move and blocked out all the light.

Virgo and I kept close as we shuffled on in the darkness. Something shifted near by. Another shadowy figure sped past us.

Then, a screamed pierced through the blacknes. I hurried over to Virgo. She wasn't hurt, instead she was pointing at me. I looked down when my blood was splattered as a dagger emerged from my chest.

It twisted and I fell into the brush.

Hey guys! I'm sorry for not posting lately. School will be starting up for me soon and I won't have as much time to write. I'll try my beat for you guys but no garentes. Bai
