POV:Scorpio

These hallways had seemed normal enough. Sagittarius and I had lost Leo (I'm not gonna lie, I didn't really mind his absence.) and had found a jean jacket. It looked like something Capricorn would wear. 

We were looking for more clues when Sagittarius and I got separated. One of us had stepped on something which caused the wall I was looking at to flip around, taking me with it.

I stood up looking around. It was a room that had a strange red haze to it. It looked just like the hallways, only there were no doors and it wasn't a hallway. I walked around, looking for a way out. It was a rather large room. I walked around, searching for a way out.

Someone appeared through the red mist. He had striking features. His hair was perfectly blond. His eyes were the perfect mix of green and brown, making the color hazel. His skin was a healthy yellow color. He was much taller than me. He had a perfectly sculpted body. His wings looked just like Cancer's.

He flashed me a crooked smile. I couldn't help but feel a little weak in the knees. I could feel myself turn red. "Oh shit... I'm gay.", I thought. He walked over to me. I backed up, not wanting to be cornered by him, I turned left.

He spoke up, " You know, this was what I could've been if not for you. I could have been near perfect. But now, well, you've seen me." His voice made my insides do gymnastics He walked towards me like a wild cat would to its prey.

He had somehow cornered me. I couldn't weave my way around him.I tried to fight back, but he was too strong. He leaned in so far that I could feel his warm breath on my face. He whispered, "You're losing him. He was yours but now... well I think I shouldn't spoil the fun that's about to begin. He may be here now, but I was here first and I will be here last."

I was thinking about what he had said when he leaned in an inch more and closed the gap between our lips. I was in shock. He said against my mouth, "Remember what you could've had." With that said, he disappeared in a puff of red mist.  

I was just standing there, still in shock. I new exactly who he was talking about. I guess I had taken everything from him. I never thought I would see him again after the Judgement. I never thought I would feel the way I do. I fell to my knees, guilt washing over me. I felt something knowing I had lost him. I was just not sure what it was. "You shouldn't be thinking about this here. There are more potential dangers lurking in the shadows.", I thought to myself.

I saw something in the red mist, where the not-Cancer disappeared. I walked closer to the object. It had a dangerous gleam to it. I bent down and picked it up. 

It was a Cutlass Sword. Its sheath was polished obsidian which had strange carvings on it. I unsheathed it. It was a beautiful work. The black and silver hilt fit perfectly in my grip. The blade glinted somewhere between gold and sliver. I looked closer at the hilt, and smiled. Right where the blade and the hilt met, was a little red ruby carved to look like a scorpion. I sheathed the blade.

A voice spoke from the mist, "Scorpio Raziel, you now hold Angelus Gladio. The Cutlass Sword that has fought a hundred wars. I have one challenge for you, if you succeed then you may leave with the sword. If not, you will be trapped in here for the rest of your days." I nodded, thinking about all the different ways this could potentially go.

The red mist thickened then disappeared, leaving behind a horror. The monster was feminine. She had two pairs of wings, one pair on her back and another on her arms. Her fingers ended in claws half the length of my arm. Scales were planted in different places on her skin. Her blood red hair was in a long braid down her spiny back. I looked a bit closer, bones were braided in it as well. her mouth went the length of her entire jaw. Her teeth were like tiny little tubes that stuck out of her mouth. She opened her four eyes and I resisted the urge to retch. They were white with gray hand imprints pushing on them, as if they were trying to break free. 

She noticed me staring, "Like them, do you? They are all the souls I have taken." Her hand materialized into a sword. She started talking about how she'll defeat me and how I'll join them, I wasn't listening. I interrupted her with a sneer, "Do you actually think I give a crap about you? Just strike and get this over with. I have places I need to be, unlike you."  She let out an indignant breath. She ran to me, sword at the ready. 

She struck at my side. I slid to the left while aiming for her knees. I left a large cut on her shin. She shrieked in surprise and anger. We clashed back and forth for a great deal of time. I had left several cuts on her side and neck. I quickly jumped up, sword directed at her neck. She kicked my feet right out from underneath me. Angelus Gladio was plunged into her stomach. 

I had fallen to my knees. She looked down in shock. She grabbed the hilt of my sword and pulled it out. I had fallen to my knees as her green blood spattered on my face. She thrusted it out of our sight. Her claws wrapped around my neck. She lifted my above the ground, my feet dangling right above the floor. I clawed at her hand, trying to loosen her grip. I bit her arm, leaving a bloody mark. She lifted me higher and threw me to the ground. I could hear the snap of my leg as it bent in an unhealthy way. Angelus Gladio had clattered to the left, out of my reach. 

I tried to crawl to my fallen sword. The full force of her kick sent me flying across the room. She walked over to my broken body and cut into my arm, fallen angel using her jagged claws. I let out a shriek of pain. She then slashed into my wings, shredding them. I watched her feet walked back to admire her work.

There I was, a bloody mess on the floor, sword out of reach, one leg snapped. Hope was fading as she stepped on my wind pipe, added more weight to my neck. I looked around desperately, the light was starting to fade from my view. 

I used my one good arm to grab her ankle and pull her weight off of me. I slipped out from underneath her, limped quickly to Angelus, and turned around to see anger flair up in the monster's eyes. She threw her sword across the room. It flew in slow motion as I watched it head straight from my stomach. It impaled me to the wall. 

The horror laughed, "Finally, little rat. Now, try to not scream too loud." She grabbed the sword and twisted it. I screamed as my blood flecked out faces. She raised one of her claws to my face, "Such a pretty face, shame, I don't feel merciful today." With that she slashed down right down from the middle of my forehead, over my right eye, and down my mouth. I raised a broken hand to cover the right side of my face. She grabbed that hand and bit right where I had bitten her. " You deserved that bite.", I told her through clenched teeth. She smirked, "You deserve to die." 

The sword as pulled out of me. I fell to the floor, coughing up blood. Then, the strangest thing happened, I heard a voice calling my name. It sounded like someone I knew, I just couldn't place who it was. It wasn't the monster's or any fragment of my imagination. It was real, it was happening. 

I looked around for the source. Angelus was glowing a deep red. I lifted my hand weakly and it appeared in my hand. I felt a new power rise in my veins. My stomach wound closed over, bones mended, scratched healed. I felt my eye, that would leave a permanent scar. I saw the monster seething with anger from across the blooded room. She ran to me, slashing at every available area. I moved so quickly, she never even drew blood. I had her pinned to the wall. I asked her, "I like to know my victim's names. What's yours?" She spat blood on my face when she spoke, "Agul, and-" I cut her off by slashing right through her neck, beheading her. 

I wiped her blood on my pants, off of my hands. Agul's body turned to green blood and soaked into the floor. The voice spoke as the red mist returned, "You have completed the test, Angelus Gadio is now yours, Scorpio Raziel. You may leave." A door appeared on the wall that I came in from. I wiped off Angelus and walked out.

I had just finished explaining what happened to Sagittarius when Leo came running in. He looked as if he had seen a ghost. Actually, he didn't look like Leo. He had ice blue hair, instead of human ears he had ears like a wild cat, he also had a lion's tail. He came in and hugged us. Sagittarius hugged back, while I hit him trying to break free. "Leo?" We both asked him at the same time. "Yeah it's me. Why do you guys look so confused?" I pulled him to a mirror on the wall. 

His eyes widened in surprise, "At least I still look great!" I rolled my eyes, "You look worse, if that's even possible." Leo looked offended then started telling us what happened when he had gotten separated. 

When he was done I asked to clarify, "So the crucible must have changed your appearance. And that thing you heard was a prophecy." We all stood there in silence for several minutes. Then out of the blue, Sagittarius ran back the way we had come shouting, "We have to tell the others." Leo and I looked at each other then where Sagittarius had run off to. Leo ran after her and I was limping behind them. My leg wasn't fully healed yet.

We called the others to the main living room. I couldn't help but look at Cancer when he walked in talking to Ophi. I wondered who I had lost him to. I shook my head, I had more important matters to deal with. 

Cancer walked over and sat next to me. I noticed how he looked at Leo with a certain fascination. I noticed how when Leo talked Cancer wouldn't even blink. Leo gained his full attention. 

After we explained everything that happened, Cancer caught up to me as I walked into my room. He asked me something that hurt more that fighting Agul. He asked, "Do you think Leo's into guys as well as girls?" I told him, "I don't know, you should ask him." I stormed out of my room, slam the door on Cancer, who was looking confused at my bitterness.
