One Day

F/n was seen in his office, working on some things for his company. After getting some things down, he then decided to get a drink and take a small break. Going to the kitchen and pouring himself a glass of red wine, he then sat down in the living room and began reading a book. Then, his adoptive daughter came in the picture.

F/n:Hey, Iri.

Iri:Hi, Daddy.

F/n:Are you loving it here?

Iri:*nods* Uh-huh. I love it here. It's way better than that scary Dust mine.

F/n reached forward and pet his daughter's cat ears, making her purr adorably. After sitting down with her for a bit, he then had to go back to work and sent Iri off to go play. Then during his work, his mother came into his office.

Willow:F/n...

F/n:Hello, Mother.

Willow:Is everything all right? I'm not interrupting you, am I?

F/n:Oh, no. Is there something you needed?

Willow:Well, I was having Klein helping me clean out some file cabinets and he found this.

Willow handed F/n a file and he read over it, interest showing up on his face with each detail.

After reading the file, F/n was just frozen before...

F/n:Damn, first her parents get executed because they didn't want her growing up in there and now...she has been through the most for a child!? Tch, that's another good resson for Jackass and Shitley to be imprisoned and those guards to be rightfully killed! Child abuse and neglect disgusts me!

Willow:Yes, I thought you'd react that way if you saw this.

F/n:Also...not celebrating a single birthday since her birth!? That just hurts...and I know that feeling.

Willow looked down in shame.

Willow:I'm sorry, F/n. I really am.

F/n:I have already forgave you, Mother. You don't need to apologize. But anyway...her birthday is a few days away. Don't you think we ought to give her one of the things she never had, her first party?

Willow:I mean, I'm not one to stop you from doing so. She's your daughter and your responsiblity. It's up to you to make that decision.

F/n smiled and nodded his head.

F/n:That's all I need to hear. I'm going to give Iri her first every birthday party.

F/n then tapped his chin with his (for some reason) long, pointed, dark blue painted fingernails before snapping his fingers. Leaving his office and heading to Iri's room, he looked inside to see the young cat Faunus clapping and giggling at Klein's ability to change his eyes and personality.

F/n smiled at the sight of the laughing Faunus.

F/n:*Iri...I'm going to give you the type of childhood I never had. Anything to make you feel better after being raised terribly in the Dust quarry.*

F/n was seen finishing up a lesson with his and Goodwitch's students.

F/n:Alright, students. Nice work today. Enjoy your week-long break and I'll be seeing you all next Monday. However, I need Teams RWBY, JNPR, CFVY, & NDGO to stay behimd with me. Don't worry, none of you are in trouble.

After the students have left, F/n walked over to the four teams he requested to stay back.

Weiss:What is it, brother? Is there something wrong?

F/n:No, I just want to ask you all for a favor.

It was silent before...

F/n:I must ask you all to come to my daughter's birthday party.

They all were taken back by that request.

Coco:Why do you ask us that?

F/n:Well...she's been raised in the Dust quarry her whole life and not once has she celebrated her birthday. I just want to give her the childhood I never had, just like any father would want.

Then...

RWBY+JNPR+CFVY+NDGO(in unison):Aww/Isn't that just nice/That's so sweet of you!

F/n:Yeah, I know. So, will you all do it...for me and my daughter?

They all then nodded and agreed, making the white-haired male smile.

F/n:Thank you all. I owe you all for this owe.

Yang:Ah, don't worry about it. All that matters is that you show how much of a great father you are to Iri.

F/n:Good. I'll see you all in a few days. You all may be dismissed.

The four teams then left, chattering away as F/n watched them.

F/n:Alright. First things first, I'll ask some of the staff to help me out and then...I'll find a present for Iri.

(F/n's POV)

Alright, everything's going the way I hope it would. I'm having Iri stay out the Schnee Manor for the time being until tomorrow and Klein and the staff of Beacon is helping me set the manor up for her birthday party.

All that's needed from me...is a present for Iri.

I wanted this gift to be genuine. Something to show Iri how much I love her and something to keep her company when I'm at work.

Then, it came to me. I should get her a pet. Luckily, Atlas had a good amount of pet shops and maybe I would find something to her.

As of right now, I was looking through the animals to try and find the one for Iri.

Dog? Now, they don't have the small and cute ones she might like.

Cat? Eh, those are boring anyway.

Bird? No way.

Hamster/Guinea Pig? Too small and could easily get lost.

Fish? Those are boring as well.

Reptile? That would be scary for her.

During my search, the owner came up to me.

Owner:Having trouble here, Mr. Schnee?

F/n:*sighs* Yes, I can't find the perfect pet for my daughter.

Owner:I see. Well, I'm sure you'll find something for her.

F/n:I hope so.

Then as I was looking again...I saw something that caught my eye. A dog with white fur and ears with pink insides. The poor creature seemed lonely and depressed and I decided to walk over to him.

F/n:Hey, little guy. How are you?

The animal gave a small whimper in reponse. That made me feel bad for it. That's when it hit me.

F/n:Hey, you wanna come live with me and make my daughter happy?

The moment he heard that, his ears perked up and he seemed to explode with happiness, jumping around his cage with excitement.

F/n:You'd like that, huh?

The critter barked with excitement.

F/n:Hey, owner. I think I have found the one.

He came over and looked with interest.

Owner:Oh, this little guy? *looks at it* Looks like it's your lucky day pal. *to F/n* Thank you for choosing him. For as long as he was here, nobody wanted him.

F/n:Oh. Well, unlock him. I'll take him home and he's gonna be a new addition to the family.

The owner unlocked the cage and the critter practically jumped into F/n's hands, licking his face.

F/n:Whoa, he sure is happy. Yep, you're coming home with me.

F/n then went to the counter and got some special things he was going to need for him. After paying...

Owner:Just to let you know, that critter is more special than you would expect.

F/n:Well, I'll take your word for it. Good day, sir. And thank you.

F/n then left, Iri's new pet in tow.

F/n:Wait until Iri sees you. She's gonna love you for sure.

(No One's POV)

Today was the day. The day Iri got to celebrate her birthday for the first time ever.

As of right now, everyone was waiting for Willow, who had taken Iri out for the day, back.

(Outside the Manor)

Iri:Gramma Willow...

Willow:Please, don't call me that. I already feel old enough with your father and his sisters calling me "Mother". Please, call me something else.

Iri:Uh, Willy...

Willow:*smiles at her* Yes?

Iri:What has Daddy been up to lately? I've been missing him.

Willow:Well, your father's been working on something just for you.

Willow then pushed the door open and then...

The lights came one, confetti erupted into the air, and everyone popped out.

Everyone:Happy Birthday, Iri!

The little cat Faunus was surprised by the surprise, but then felt a good feeling run through her body.

Iri:Fo-For me!?

F/n walked up to her and picked her up.

F/n:Of course. I can understand that you have never celebrated a birthday in your life, so I thought I'd get you used to the feeling from now on.

Iri felt tears fill her eyes, but she managed to wipe them away and hugged her adoptive father.

Iri:Th-Thank you, Daddy!

F/n:*wipes her tears away* No need to cry. Just come on and let's enjoy your first birthday party.

With that, Iri then had fun on her first ever birthday party, opening presents, playing party games, and enjoying the cake Klein baked just for her. At the end...

F/n came up to her with a box.

F/n:Here's the gift from me to you, my little snow kitty.

Iri ripped off the wrapping paper with excitement, but then excitement turned into pure happiness again when...he flopped out the box and wriggled to get back on his feet.

Iri:Da-Daddy, is...

F/n:He's all yours. Somebody to play with and keep you company. A special pet for a special little girl like you.

The critter crawled onto Iri's lap, placed its front legs onto her chest, and began to lick her face. The little cat Faunus cried tears as she began to hug it, feeling its soft fur onto herself.

F/n:What do you wanna name him, Iri?

Iri:Umm...

It took her a while, but then it hit her.

Iri:Fou...his name is Fou.

F/n:Fou...that's an odd name, but it suits him.

Iri then came up to him with Fou in her arms and hugged him tightly.

Iri:Thank you, Daddy...for everything.

F/n:Anything for you, my little snow kitty.

F/n then kissed Iri on the forehead as everybody "Aww'd" at the moment.

The screen then went black on the adoptive Schnee father hugging his adopted Faunus daughter, her new pet in her arms and a happy future ahead of her.
