ITSUMI REVELED IN the high of killing her first victim, the euphoria in her veins was pure ecstasy. It was like a drug. To her, the world did seem more brighter, her ears were heightened to new sounds, and even though she could only smell the metallic scent of blood, she was in a state of absolute bliss.
And like an addict, she wanted more.
Dropping the dead organ to the ground, she turns her killer gaze on the man responsible. Her manager, who's still on his knees in his cowering state, pales greatly when he notices her eyes on him. Like the born predator she is, Midoriya stalks towards Sora.
He was responsible for the Yakuza's presence in the restaurant! He's the reason why Nanami and Rokuma are both dead! He's the reason why Mifune almost violated her! He's the main problem, yet he's still breathing like the useless vermin that he is! He's a spineless coward spewing lies just so he can stay alive longer, on the floor begging!
Her crimson orbs are like hot knives, scalding when they make contact with him, and Sora flinches in fear. She wants him to feel the fear she felt. The frozen panic. The sense of uselessness.
Her fingers tense, joints clenching, as she prepares to crush his body with colossal amounts of pressure.
"Wait," Overhaul stops her, his voice like a knife in her slice of murderous thoughts.
Itsumi swivels and directs her heated glare at the masked man. Their eyes clash in a collision of ruby and gold, colors that are supposed to shine like jewels but instead, they're soulless and empty. Neither flinch as their eyes meet, but she's the first to submit - dropping her glare and tilting her head to the side to figure him out.
"If you're telling me he's not going to die today, then there's going to be a serious problem," she sneers.
The Yakuza leader gives a low chuckle. "There won't be a problem. He'll suffer for his lies. However, since he was once a part of our guard, we'll deal with his punishment," he simply explains.
Itsumi gives him a sour look, her mood drastically dropping when she finds out that she can't kill him.
"As for you," Overhaul cuts in again. "You killed one of my men. Now, I can retaliate your actions and kill you myself, but as I said, I like you. Plus, you were defending yourself, and that's enough reason. Although, I am curious to why a simple girl like you opted for killing him when you could have simply rendered him unconscious," he questions.
The Midoriya girl stares at him blankly, her red gaze boring into his golden one.
"Well?"
She glares at his persistence.
"It was simply the heat of the moment. Though, if you really want my honest answer, my motives were building, boiling, and raging for a period of time now, and he unfortunately got caught at the end of it. I have no regrets on how I freed myself," she states, narrowing her eyes whilst giving a mirthless smile.
Chisaki gives his own mirthless smirk underneath his mask. "Then, you'll have no problem keeping this day and its events to yourself. You'll continue living your simple life while we deal with this traitor."
The green haired girl scowls, almost furious with his suggestion. "So what?! I keep my mouth shut while you get to kill the man responsible for all this carnage? He left me to die, and it's only fair that I get to kill his pathetic self with my bare hands," she rages, her blood coated fingers twitching at the idea of spilling more blood.
Overhaul narrows his eyes. "Unless you want to die, then yes. He's the Shie Hassaikai's responsibility. I know you want revenge for his cowardice, but I reassure you, his death won't be an easy one."
Their eyes meet again and Itsumi finds the honesty to his words. A simple understanding for a common enemy.
She nods, complying.
Taking that as her cue to leave, Itsumi turns on her heel and give a good riddance to the restaurant. Though as she does, Shinseki - also previously known as Sora - cries out.
"Midoriya-chan, don't leave! Please help-"
She turns her head, eyes narrowed to deadly slits. "Rot in hell, you coward," she snarls.
With that, she stomps away towards the locker room, only to be stopped again.
"Oh, and Midoriya, was it?"
Itsumi turns towards Overhaul, watching as he and the other members of the Shie Hassaikai stand from their seats at the table. Somehow he seems more threatening when he's standing. The girl forces herself to stay calm.
"Yes?"
"In return of not killing you for killing one of my own, you'll be in debt. One day, maybe tomorrow or into the far future, I'll need a favor. So make sure you're able to return it or there will be serious consequences," he states, his voice cold and knife like.
She gulps, but seals the deal.
"You have my word."

ITSUMI FEELS LIKE she's coming apart. It's been days, weeks, since the events at the restaurant. The news were having a field day with the murder scene, questioning who did it, trying to figure out the motives, looking for suspects. And unfortunately since she worked there, she got questioned by the police.
Though, she simply told them that she wasn't working that day. It was somewhat true. It was supposed to be her day off, but she got called in by Sora - it was so last minute. So, with her word, they checked the employee shift schedule, and true to what she said, Itsumi Midoriya was nowhere listed on that day. Then with a question of alibi, they asked where she was. The girl told them she went to the grocery store after school to buy food, which she did after the events at the restaurant. Itsumi was smart after all, she knew she would need an alibi, so that's what did.
So, with the evidence, the officers gave her the all clear.
Though, that didn't stop the feeling of being unraveled that Itsumi felt. Because after that incident at the restaurant, she wanted more of it. She wanted to feel blood. She wanted the control of breaking things! She wanted to feel powerful! But she couldn't. She was back to plastering fake smiles and being the perfect everything.
Itsumi hated it. Loathe it! And everyday she wanted to rip the plastic moldings she wore!
She felt so free in that restaurant, and now she's back to being shackled. Back to playing the puppet! Letting society control her into becoming the ideal person!
So, as she sits with her graduating class, dressed in a crimson cap and gown, Itsumi feels tears stinging at her ruby eyes. Any normal person would be happy for this milestone, but she's not. To other people, this is the beginning of the rest of their lives, but to her, it's the end.
Because during the past weeks, her mother decided to finally get out of the house and get a job. Itsumi felt some of the pressure leave from her shoulders at that revelation, but that quickly disappeared when her mother's next words crushed her. Inko told her that she should follow her dreams and continue her future by using her saved money to go to college - that practically killed her. Even more so when her mother, and the school counselor brought her into a meeting in the latter's office to fill out applications.
So ultimately, it is her end. The green haired girl was doomed into a future she never wished for. She will continue to suffocate in her plastic moldings, struggling to breathe as everyone decides her actions.
She bites her lip, pushing the tears away with narrowed eyes. If they want to suffocate me, then it's up to me to set myself free. But for now, I'll play their stupid game of life.
"-but before we get started, let's give a hand to this year's valedictorian! Praising her for her hard work and success as she gives us, her classmates, some last words! Midoriya Itsumi," the principal - a short and stout man - says with a beaming smile.
The green haired girl stands and mentally scoffs at the cordial applause that's given to her. With heeled ankle boots, she successfully makes it to the stage of the school's amphitheater.
"Thank you, Principal Nara," she says as she gives the man a respected handshake. She then turns to stand behind the pedestal, adjusting the microphone to her height.
She breathes.
"The future is unknown, it always has been. Though, over the years, I've heard many people say that heroes our the future. That they secure it, that they build it!" She voices, tapping into her rage to raise her tone. "But those people are naive, they're fools, because they're forgetting about the others! Others like us! So let me tell you something. What is the future without us? Who are heroes? They're nothing! It's us who make the future, we're the ones who build it!" She yells, getting yeahs of agreement. "We build cities! We make jobs! We make our own paths! So while everyone else dreams of becoming a hero, we can dream of the future because it is ours to make! We don't need flashy quirks to pave the road in front of us because we don't need help! So for the people who claim to forget about us, let's show them how unforgettable we can be! How epic we can become! Because we will become legends! We are ambitious! We are dreamers!! We are the determined!!! AND WE ARE THE FUTURE!"
The students of the graduating class roar in cheers, their applause thundering in the room. Izuku, who sits next to his mother in the family section, stares at his older sister unsettling awe. Here he was, training to become a hero, thinking that it's all he needs in life while his sister is claiming to be something more epic. She has a quirk but doesn't want to be a hero. She's right, because during all his training, he forgot about people like her. Without people like her, normal civilians, heroes don't need to do saving - who would they save without them?
So as the room booms with cheers, Izuku can't help but be distraught by his sister's speech.
Is that how she felt, forgotten?
= = = = = =
Welp, that's chapter nine! A short one, I know, but at least I can start with the more interesting things!
Okay, so the cannon things can start - like Izuku going to the entrance exams and stuff. Itsumi will still need some devolving, like killing more🔪🔪🔪
I'll make sure to add more scenes of that, lol.
Oof, what favor will Overhaul ask of Itsumi? Is it some foreshadowing with his arc in cannon? Will she join Twice and Toga into the Shie Hassaikai? On another note, I could totally see Kai and Itsumi becoming best of friends - a murdering psychotic duo!
Oof - she's still in her pretend mode, I'm sure that's killing her slowly seeing as she wants to kill and feel free. And she's going to college, will there be any cannon characters she meets??? That's a surprise *evil laugh*
Lolol, her speech is her basically saying she hates heroes, haha. You can catch some villain undertones in her words which is even better 🤣🤣🤣
Well, that's all I have today!
